“Refusing to take punishment? You’re absurd. You and I both know punishment isn’t debatable. You’re an alpha and no one has the right to refuse you. Don’t you think there’s something shady going on here? Would you explain to me or wait till I find out myself why you’re punishing my mate” Wilder replied and Louis’s eyes dilated.

He knew Wilder was right and he was momentarily stunned. Olivia’s heart was pumping heavily, she was feeling the mate bond stronger than ever. She couldn’t tell who her actual mate was.

She just laid there, with her head bowed low. She was confused as hell but scared. Whosoever this man was, for him to be able to talk back at Alpha Louis, he was definitely more powerful, and dangerous and it scared her greatly.

“I don’t care. She’s my mate and you can’t take her away” Louis replied firmly and Wilder chuckled.

“What were you about to do? Pass your judgment and see my wrath” Wilder threatened and Louis seethed, anger pulsating through his veins.

“Why are you here? This is my pack Wilder, be careful of the words you utter here, I can get my guards to lock you up and beat you!” Louis barked and Wolder chuckled.

He laughed so hard for more than a minute like Louis had said some crazy joke, his eyes hardened immediately and went darker than usual. “We both know that’s a joke, it’s more of a dream that’ll never come true. You’re no match for me not to talk of the skinny bones you tag as guards” Wilder insulted and Louis went pale with shame.

Louis knew Wilder was right but he wasn’t about to accept defeat. He couldn’t let Wilder humiliate him publicly even though he had already.

“I’m going to warn you, don’t infuriate me. Wilder, you're about to go overboard, this is my pack, not yours!” Louis warned and Wilder clenched his fists, finding the threat interesting.

“Okay, I’d like to see what you'll do to me if I go overboard. This is my fucking mate I'm talking about, there’s nothing like going overboard even if I burn down this pack!” Wilder retorted and Louis scoffed, finding Wilder’s word insane.

He knew Wilder could do the craziest things when angry and he was growing furious because Wilder was about to take his mate away. Although he rejected her, it didn't mean she could just be with any man.

“Wilder, I think there's a mix-up here, this is Louis's mate and she did something crazy which she should be punished for but Louis would be merciful to spare her for your sake. Let's end all these now” Ella spoke and Wilder glanced at her with condescending eyes. 

“Do you think you deserve to talk about punishment? Do not infuriate me if you don’t want to see my wrath” Wilder threatened and Ella swallowed hard, she was scared but she wanted to save herself some face.

“Wilder, this is something we can discuss amicably, you can come in and we can have a chitchat” Ella suggested and Wilder turned to Louis.

“I have nothing to discuss, I want to take my mate with me and I don't trust you well enough to have a chit-chat with you” Wilder replied harshly.

“Take who away? You can't take my mate away, before taking her away, you'd have to go through me and my guars” Louis threatened and Wilder stood straight, nodding his head slowly.

“Who should I start with? You or the guard?” Wilder demanded making Louis stunned.

“I…” Viola was filled with joy when she heard Wilder saying he wanted to take Olivia, she concealed a smile and wished Wilder could leave immediately. She wanted to say something but Louis shot her a gaze making her clamp her mouth shut.

She was furious that Louis didn't want to let Olivia go, she was gritting her teeth in anger and wishing she could strangle Olivia to death. She was jealous that someone as powerful as Wilder was Olivia’s mate.

“Wilder, you're an alpha, so am I. Don't you think this can cause a fallout between us? I know you're here for something different and important. You might be feeling sad for her and I understand you're saying this just to save her but can't we carry on with important things? Don't you think we have better things to discuss about the company rather than wasting our time on this worthless slut?” Louis spat out and Wilder clenched his fist, he wanted to slap him and make him take those words back.

“Should I talk about how my evening went after having a drink with Ella? Worthless slut? We definitely know she's better than the two women beside you and something important? ” Wilder insulted and they all went red with fury, it was true and Louis was panting. 

“Feeling sad?” Wilder scoffed, “You know me, I can't take pity for a cute pup to talk less of a human. Do you think I'm joking? I’ll prove to you that she's my mate” Wilder muttered and with a firm gaze, he walked towards Olivia, grabbed her face tightly and pressed his lips on hers gently.

It was a small and gentle kiss and he broke it after a second, gasps rang in the air as everyone went mute nd tension began building up. Louis was already red with fury with veins popping on his head. He felt a sense of possessiveness overwhelm him and angrily he went over to Wilder who was standing now.

Ella and Viola were about to die out of jealousy, Ella was more stunned and frozen. She managed to get herself and she wanted to head towards Olivia but Louis was there already.

Louis swung his arm, about to punch Wilder who blocked his fist with his palm. Both men glared at each other angrily, and Wilder pushed Louis away.

“Leave now before I get my guards!” Louis threatened and Wilder scoffed. 

“I have no intentions of living without my mate, if you call your guards then you're courting death for them” Wilder replied and Louis glanced at the guard, nodding slightly and the guards rushed forward.

Before they could shift, the gate opened, revealing Jeremey in a car with a few guards and they rushed out immediately after they saw Wilder. Knowing they were no match for Wilder’s guards, they backed down fearfully and Wilder smiled with a cocked brow.

“Fools!” Louis cursed angrily. 

“Is there any problem, Alpha Wilder?” Jeremy asked and Wilder smiled, nodding at the guards. “Yes, in fact, I think there's a problem with my taking my mate home and these imbeciles are trying to stop me” Wilder replied with a satisfied grin and Loyuis began boiling with anger.

“Mate? We… Oh, you can take her alpha and I'll see who dares to stop you. I’d like to see who would be stupid enough to ask for death” Jeremy replied and Wilder smiled coquettishly. 

“Of course, I'll take my mate now. Thank you for taking care of her for so long. I'll forget all your misdeeds for her sake” Wilder replied as he went forward and to the shock of everyone, he crunched and picked her up.

Ella collapsed immediately she saw him carry Olivia and press her head to his chest while her hands were around his neck. Viola's mouth was agape as she stared at Louis, she was happy that Olivia was leaving but furious that she was leaving with someone powerful. 

“One step out of this house and we would sever everything between us. You would be my enemy automatically” Louis threatened and Wilder froze, he turned and glared at Louis with contempt.

“With or without you as an acquaintance, I'm strong enough to stand. I don't need you in any way, I'll gladly break all ties between you, my beta will bring termination letters tomorrow, I hope we never work together again” Wilder replied with seriousness and walked out, looking alluring and so powerful that Viola’s heart bled because she wasn't the one in his barns.

Louis staggered with surprise, he couldn't believe he had broken ties with an ally and lost his mate in just one night.

Olivia closed her eyes tightly, the heat emanating from his body was enough to send fear down her spine but surprisingly, she felt safe and closed her eyes, giving way to unconsciousness.
