Accepting The Date

Alex let out a sigh of relief. "Great, how about I pick you up at 7?" he asked, sounding more confident now.

Ashley smiled. "That works for me. Do you want to tell me where we're going?" she asked, feeling curious.

Alex chuckled. "Nope, it's a surprise," he said, with a hint of playfulness in his voice.

Ashley grinned. "Okay, I'll see you at 7 then," she said, before saying goodbye and hanging up the phone.

After the call with Alex, Ashley lay on her bed in shock. She never expected him to ask her out on a date. She thought about it for a while before deciding to call her best friend, Larisa.

Larisa picked up the phone. "What's up, Ashley?" she asked.

"I'm kind of confused, Larisa," Ashley said, her voice trembling.

"Confused about what?" Larisa asked, concern in her voice.

"Alex just called me, and he asked me out on a date tomorrow," Ashley said, her heart racing.

"By Alex, you mean Marcellus's friend, right?" Larisa clarified.

"Yes," Ashley replied.

"Did you accept?" Larisa asked.
