It took a long while of running around aimlessly before I finally picked up her scent. I then communicated to all the other werewolves with me on the search through the mind link, letting them know where to meet me. Her scent was very faint but as I continued on the path, it grew and when I noticed that it had still not gotten as strong as I was used to, I almost faltered. Just how far had she gone?

What made it even worse was that I realized that the more I gained on her, the more I could feel this surety that she was in some kind of trouble. My wolf whimpered in pain and I wondered if she had begun to feel the consequences of not taking her medicine today. You’re still ill, Amber, dammit! Why do you have to be so careless?
