At the field. I took in the war breeze. It was soothing. It calmed my nerves instead of otherwise. We got back to the Marshalls amidst our songs of joy and victory. I was not really into it, because it turned out to be a nightmare and horror for me. Mercury was badly injured even though it wasn't visible. She had internal bleeding and was also taking with the others for proper medical attention. That night, the soldiers made camp fire by putting woods over each other and burning the Shallomes flag, marking their victory at the field. My sister looked everywhere for Asher. But she couldn't find her. She went to look at the names of the soldiers admitted to the hospital and there was no Asher Jackson on it. She knew without being told, Asher didn't make it. I was permitted to visit Mercury at the hospital again during one of the visiting days. The infirmary is not big and well equipped enough to contain the casualties. When I got to the hospital, I found out that so many of our soldiers were doing very fine, recovering so fast. I was happy, but just two out of them couldn't make it, adding to the numbers we lost at the field instantly. The Tv at the hospital reception got me when I read the headline and it was about the war between the Claudia and the Shalomes. The news caster made the world know that the Claudia only lost five hundred and two soldiers and is nursing seventy two casualties. Looking around the hospital, we had over hundred casualties and counting and you can trust me if I told you we lost a thousand soldiers both the once at the KS and the ones here at the Marshalls. Well, the government will always be the government, covering up their shits. I took the remote and switched off the television, it was getting on my nerves.

Going up the stairs as carefully as I could, I found out the stairs went on and on in circles and the building at that time seemed to have no other persons other than the people already in the ongoing operation, the fact that I don't know where they brought me is overwhelming. I had to take the elevator and according to the guard, they are at the last fucking floor and the stairs seemed to have no ending. Entering the elevator, I looked for the last number, I could have been damned. It was floor 22. When I got out of the elevator, I made for the next door, but something drew my attention, I abruptly stopped, raising my head and looking at the top of the wall, I saw the now familiar but yet unreadable Vikings writings. I felt horrible not being able to comprehend it. Then someone came through my back to strangle me, but one thing I got from my mum is the instinct to sense presence especially when it is coming behind me.
