CHAPTER THREE - His Revenge

       CARINA

    We eventually got to see Rosa yesterday though she was still sleeping. Mom stayed at the hospital while Dad, Fiona and I went back home. I woke up early and dressed Fiona up for school. Dad had to go to work so did I.

Mom owns her own little business so she doesn't really have a problem.

I dropped Fiona off at school and went to work. I saw a very expensive sports car parked right in front of our restaurant. The owner must be really wealthy. 

I shrugged and went inside only to meet the shock of my life. He was seated on the customer's seat and there's no one around. My feet went numb and my heart threatened to pop out of my chest. My hands started to shake. This is what I was so afraid would happen.

       "You don't look happy to see me darling. Didn't you invite me?." He smirked. 

     "What are you doing here? I never invited you." I asked not knowing what to say. 

    He shrugged. 

      "I just came to say Hi. I mean, you practically invited me into your life when you decided to rob me yesterday." 

  He's right. I personally dragged trouble my way but there's nothing I could do. 

      "I'll return your money. Just give me a little time." I pleaded. 

   He chuckled. 

     "First of all, you should be in jail right now. Second, you just robbed me yesterday. How are you going to pay me back? Lastly, you messed with the wrong person. I could kill you right now and no one would dare ask me. You should never have crossed my path." His face had changed into a deadly one and its scaring the life out of me. 

   I went on my knees with tears threatening to fall on my face. 

      "Please. Don't hurt me please. I'm not a bad person. I just didn't have a choice. I didn't mean to do it. Please forgive me please."

  He raised a brow.

    "I'm sorry baby but forgiveness is not in my dictionary. But I do have a better idea. From now on, you have to become my slave." He blurted out. 

     "What?." I half yelled. 

     "You don't like that? Then you have five minutes to return my money with an interest of $50,000 since I loaned you."

   I shook my head as my tears finally fell.

     "I don't have that amount now please."

  He got up and walked to me. I can't look at his eyes so I looked away.

     "Then would you prefer I show the police the video of you robbing me since I don't wanna kill you? Stop wasting my time and make a decision." He warned. 

   I don't have any options. I have no choice. Even if I return the rest of the money, It still won't be enough to pay him back. This man has a gun and there are men looking deadly standing right behind him. 

But why did he have to say slave? He could have just asked me to work for him till I can pay him back. 

      "I'm guessing you want me to call the police. All right then. Get yourself a white shark though. You'll really need it. See you in court." He said leaving. 

     "No wait!." I yelled. 

   He stopped walking and turned. 

    "Yes?."

     "I... I'll do anything you want. Just please don't put me in jail. My family needs me." I begged. 

    He smiled. 

    "You're so sweet. You and I will discuss my terms later. But for now, you should take the day off. I'll come pick you up at your house. Then I'll explain how you're going to work for me." 

With that he left the restaurant. His guards or whatever followed him. I fell on my knees and let the tears flow freely. Why is this always happening to me? Why am I always doing things the wrong way? No matter how I try to be happy, something bad happens. 

I took my bag after crying and went to the bathroom and wash my face. Then I powdered my face so I won't look pathetic in front of my parents. I don't want to put them in anymore worries. They have enough to worry about as it is. I need to think about something to tell them so they won't be suspicious since I'm his new slave.

        DRAKE

    I woke up to check my email. Joe already got all the information on her. I smirked and copied everything. Where she lives and works, her age and everything else including her phone number and social media accounts.

Its time to pay her a visit. I think I'd visit where she works first. 

Carina Leslie Dawson. 

That's her name huh? Beautiful. 

I took my bath and ate breakfast, then I walked out of the house. I took my guards and driver this time around. We got to the restaurant that's located in a very remote area. This place seems to be a good hideout for criminals. Nice place little woman. 

I got down and went into the restaurant. Someone came to usher me to a table. I looked round the restaurant and its not that bad. 

      "I'll take your orders sir." The waitress said. 

    I removed my sunglasses. Her eyes widened. 

     "Oh my God! Its really you!" She squealed. 

    "Yeah. I'd like to see the manager. Right now." I said.

   She nodded and went to call the owner I think. I paid her to close the restaurant for today because I wanted to use it and I want to be alone. She told all the employees to leave. She wanted to call the ones who had not come but I stopped her. 

I'd like to surprise them especially Carina. She's the main reason I'm here. 

After half an hour, she walked in. Her eyes almost popped out on seeing me. She was shaking and terrified, fear was written all over her. I smirked. Just look at the all tough girl of yesterday.

   I thought she'd argue with me but she didn't.  Though she tried to act stubborn at first. But then she calmed down. I have so many things in store for her. After leaving the restaurant, I went to my office straight to the board meeting being held. No one would question my absence. They know they have no chance against me.

   Later in the day, I went home and I got an idea. I needed a personal cook right? And the restaurant owner told me Carina was their best cook. I could use her services. And if I like her cooking, she's in damn big trouble. 

I picked up my phone after having a relaxing bath and foot massage. I called her number. 

She didn't pick the first and second time but she picked on the third ring. 

       "Carina on the line. Who's this?." She asked in her sweet tough voice. 

     "Who do you think? Its your new boss." I replied. 

     She was silent for a moment.

      "Um... How did you....?."

   I laughed silently. I can't possibly hold myself from imagining the look on her face now.

      "I found where you live and work. Your number is the least of my worries. I just wanted to tell you to get ready. By 9am tomorrow morning, my driver will be there to pick you up and you better not keep him waiting. Hope I made my self clear?." 

      "Yes sir but...." 

    "I'll explain your working schedule to you tomorrow. Bye for now." I hung up. 

I can't help but burst into laughter. She's already calling me sir. Just yesterday she wants to blow my head off. 

I took a sip of my drink and called Mom. 

     "Drake? What is wrong with your phone? I've been trying to call you but its not connecting. I want to see you Drake. Or I'm coming down to your mansion and dragging your ear." She said at once.

     "Fine Mom. Don't worry about getting me a new cook because I've gotten one. She's starting work tomorrow." I told her. 

     "Nice. You had better let her stay a little bit longer and stop acting like a spoilt brat. I'll really get mad at you." 

     "Yes captain." I saluted.

      "I have to go now. Try to get some sleep and let me see your face at least son." 

     "Fine mom. You get some sleep too. Goodnight. I love you." I said and hung up. 

My mind drifted back to that woman. Carina. 

I don't usually let people go this easily or even have them come over to my house to work. I would have killed her already because nothing the police does is good in my eyes anymore. 

They're not going to give her the punishment she deserves. I don't know if I'm drawn to her or not. The most important thing is to make her regret ever stealing from me. 

I would never tolerate such a thing. I may ask her why she did it but that would be later and not now. After I've made her life a bit unbearable.
