Chapter 69: I think I am pregnant

"Let me sit at the front," I say, almost screaming when I see Dan panicking.

"I am sorry, Mr Hale wouldn't approve."

I sigh, pushing him out of the way and making my way to the front seat. One thing I know for sure is that Ace never goes back on his word. He would let me be, and his men would have to get used to doing things my way.

"You can take the other car," Ryan says, waving Dan and Lucas away.

I guess we are taking two cars then, Ace thrives in being extra. I squeeze my phone in my hands, resting my head on the window. I am so tired. I think I must have dozed off for a bit because when I opened my eyes, I was alone. I sigh relieved when Ryan opens the door.

"Here" He passes a brown bag to me, and the smell of food immediately makes my mouth water. "Ace said you might be hungry."

"Thank you," I moan when I taste the bagel.

"You like?"

"Yes"

"Ace said you would".

"Ryan, please, can we not talk about Ace every minute? I am so mad at him right now."
