“We found her!” He snaps at the person at the other end of the phone. “But she is already dead.”

Several sheriff's were gathered around the building. The house was already taped with the word crime scene. The buzzing of phones could be heard, followed by the sound of the siren of the ambulance.

They had searched the environment and still haven't found anything that could give the leads about the attack on the house.

“How is she dead?” The person at the other end demanded. “How could someone else find her before you did?”

Ryker ran his hand through his hair. “I have no idea. The window was shattered, and baseball bats were set in every corner of the house. I think she was ambushed and killed, but that attacker is dead.”

“How many dead bodies were found?"

“About ten.”

“Are there any cameras around?"

“Yes.”

“Did you find anything?”

“No.”

“How is that possible?”

Ryker's gaze trailed to the camera that was already broken. “Broken cameras and empty memory. It seems that someone destroyed th
