CHAPTER – 35

Olivia pov

I was feeling this strange sensation, like my head was spinning and blood was rushing through me. The room around me seemed to blur at the edges, and I felt so hot, as if the air itself was thickening with tension. I thought, "What the heck did I drink?" Just then, a voice called out.

"Mrs. Olivia." I turned around slowly, my heart racing, to see a young guy in a suit with a really nice face. He had an air of confidence about him, but there was something unsettling in his gaze. "How do you know my name?" I asked, totally confused.

He smiled, a charming grin that seemed to light up his features. "I'm David's friend, my name's Kai." He reached out his hand for a shake, and I felt a flutter of uncertainty in my stomach. I shut my eyes for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts, then forced a smile and reached out to shake his hand. But just as our hands were about to meet, someone grabbed my waist and pulled me toward him. It was David, of course.
