Chapter 55: Decision For Good

Victor pulled her closer to his body, his forehead rested on hers as he struggled to catch his breath. “You can hate me,” he whispered, “but you’ll never escape me.”

Olivia’s eyes burned with tears as she shoved him away. “This isn’t what I want, Victor. You can’t force me to stay.”

His jaw tightens, and he stepped back, his eyes harden. “You don’t know what’s out there. Eran? He’s not who you think he is. He wants to use you, Olivia. I’m the only one who truly cares about you.”

The mention of Eran pulls her defiance. “At least he doesn’t chain me like some possession!”

Victor’s expression twisted. “You think he’s better than me? Fine. Let’s settle this once and for all.”
