Confrontation

Three weeks after i was discharged from the hospital which now seems to be a causal place for me. Dave took me home, he made my favorite meal and i was so thankful for that, am not a fan of hospital meals. After eating, Dave wanted to talk.

"Hey, I want to talk about what happened" he said to me.

"I don't want to talk about it" I replied not looking at him.

I started to go upstairs.

"Okay fine, there was a woman, she came to the hospital after the accident, she said she owns the bar and she met you the day it happened. What were you doing there and who was that man?" He asked looking at me

"And this is the right time to talk about this? I just got out of the hospital and all you can think of is to question me?" I asked

"I just want to know what happened" he replied

"Seems to me you already do" I said to him then turned and went upstairs to lay down

After some minutes I heard Dave leave, I just shut my eyes, took a deep breathe and slept off.

he later came in at night and laid beside me. The next day, he made me breakfast and made sure am alright. He has tried to get me out of the house, but i wouldn't comply. He had to call my therapist to talk to me. He told me earlier at the hospital that he had met her. When she arrived, i asked Dave to excuse us. I didn't want to talk to her in his presence. After she left Dave confronted me.

"You know, you won't tell me anything but you have no problem talking to a stranger about our affairs and wouldn't even include me" he said to me

"Dave, you called her here, i didn't" i replied

"That isn't the point, you have been seeing her all along, haven't you?" he said back

"Why can't you just tell me, who this man is to you and why you went to see him?" He asked

"Where will you go huh? you are gonna go to him, the one who abused you? He asked insensitively, his words struck me like lightening.

I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand and pushed me to the wall.

"You are not going anywhere Sarah, you are not leaving me" he said somewhat pleading

When i woke up, i took a shower and ate the food he made for me then prepared and left for the saloon, went a little shopping and visited my friend Julian to catch up. When i got home, Dave had a table set with wine and candles.

"What is this?" i asked

"This is a little something i prepared for us, we haven't had enough time for ourselves lately" he replied

I was happy and yet very bitter, I remembered how long I wanted this, how many times I had come home just hoping he would have a table set or tell me we were going out to grab something to eat, and now i screwed up, everything is a mess then he comes up with this? the more I thought about it the more I got angry.

"Why think about it now?" i asked

"What do you mean why think about it now?" He asked back

"I mean, you said it yourself, we haven't done this for a long while" I replied

"You don't have to do this" I said angry

"What? why?" He asked

"I mean you don't have to, we haven't done this for a while now, what changed? the accident? I asked feeling uneasy
