Chapter 455 Go In and Bring Her Out

Author: Five Generals
“Kiev, since the Strategic Department has already sent men over to negotiate, I believe Shane Blanc has agreed to release Darcy, right?”

Agnes ignored Kaze completely as she was only concerned about her daughter’s well-being.

Kiev said confidently, “Of course. The Strategic Department has intervened, and Shane would surely release Darcy now.

“Let’s just go get her. I believe she’s afraid and she definitely wants to see you the most.”

Agnes smiled.

“Then let’s go inside and bring her back. Kiev, thank you so much for this. Tell the guard to open the gate for us,” she said with utmost gratitude.

“Of course.”

Kiev went over to the guard.

The guard judged a book by its cover. He saw Kiev coming out of a Maybach and he knew that the young man must have a decent background, so he was more polite than before.

A moment later, Kiev came back.

“Aunt Agnes, we can go inside to bring Darcy out. He’s going to let us in.”

“Great!”

Agnes nodded happily.

Everyone then went in

Shane was indeed the most well-connected informant in South River State. He knew Kiev’s name by just looking at him. Kiev was slightly surprised. He nodded and said, “I am. Darcy Quint is my friend, so you should release…” Before he could finish, Shane interrupted him again. “I will let you off the hook this time, for the sake of your father. Now take your little friends and piss off.” Shane pointed at Agnes and the others. Kiev was infuriated. “Shane Blanc, how dare…” “FUCK OFF! Hear me!?” Shane’s men went up and surrounded Kiev. One of them put his massive hand on Kiev’s shoulder. The pressure he felt on his shoulder hurt him, making him sweat profusely. A while later, under Shane’s men's angry glare, Kiev, Agnes, and the others were escorted back to the park entrance. Similar to the two majors from Melrose Strategic Department, they were thrown out of the gates. Kaze noticed Kiev could not even lift his hand and he knew Shane must have taught the young man a le

“Aunt Agnes, I’ll think of another way. There must be a solution to this…” Kiev’s words no longer felt as powerful as before. Shane did not even take the vice-commander of South River Strategic Department seriously, let alone his son. Must Kiev find someone more powerful than his father to solve this problem? Agnes was drowning in her despair but she still consoled Kiev. “Kiev, don’t blame yourself. You’ve tried your best. You’ve helped us plenty. We are grateful for your help. It’s all because of Kaze! If not for him, Darcy wouldn’t be held inside. “Kaze, if anything happens to Darcy, I will haunt you for life even after I die!” Agnes was agitated and riled up. She wished she could strangle Kaze with her own hands. Kaze said, “Nothing will happen to Darcy. I said I will bring her out and I will bring her out.” “You? Not even Kiev can settle this. What makes you think you can?” Agatha and her family looked down on Kaze. “You are nothing but blindly confident.” E

Everyone held their breath. They felt like their worlds collapsed on them. How could Kaze call in a battalion of soldiers? How? They suspected that it might be a dream or an illusion. They rubbed their eyes and pinched their cheeks, but the pain told them that what was happening before their very eyes was real. It was all real! “So it was not him who was incapable, it was us…” Rose wished she could bury herself in a hole. She was the clown, not Kaze. “Oh. My. God. W-Who is Kaze exactly?!” Agatha almost passed out from the shock. She could not even maintain the same pitch. Knowing that she insulted Kaze earlier, her face turned red. “I have no idea…” Agnes’ mind went blank. Kiev looked at Kaze in fear. How could he go after Darcy if Kaze was this powerful? What gave him the confidence to snatch Darcy away from him? He was courting death, not Darcy! Kaze did not care about the reactions. He said to the guard at the entrance, “Tell Shane Blanc to come out r

Kaze nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. “I heard you got a hundred million from Darcy. Explain that,” he asked. Shane gulped nervously and said, “Ms. Quint wanted me to find out the traitor of Lefteria Group.” “And did you?” “I did. It’s a guy named Leo Lionel.” Kaze looked at him. “Based on what I know, Leo came to you and then went back to Lilyrose. Yet the ladies are held captive. How do you do business?” Shane got so frightened that he wanted to kneel, but Kaze stopped him with a fierce glare. He shuddered and managed to keep himself standing. “Sir! I was tricked! Leo gave me one billion and I fell for it! But I never thought of hurting Ms. Quint and Ms. Scarlet! It was him! It was Leo! He wants me…” Shane exposed Leo and his schemes without a second thought. Kaze’s eyes gleamed coldly after he learned the truth. Leo went back to Lilyrose alone because he wanted to use Shane to get rid of the ladies. He wanted to kill them with a borrowed knife! He orde

Not only Darcy and Miru, even Agnes and the others glued their eyes to Kaze. “Yeah, I called them in,” Kaze admitted in front of everyone. “Uh…” Even though the armored trucks and tanks were shocking enough, they were still astonished when Kaze admitted it in front of them. How did Kaze do something even Kiev could not? Kaze suddenly became a mystery that no one knew. His real identity intrigued everyone. Could he be the secret child of some powerful officers? He had someone even more powerful than Kiev’s father?” “Sir, the chief commander of South River Strategic Department attended the practice of Armored One Battalion and he heard that you were near. He wants to meet you.” Reeve, who had been quiet since the beginning, went up to Kaze and whispered in his ears. The chief commander that he was referring to was Albert Hiden. A few days ago, Kaze had agreed to attend his inauguration ceremony that was around the corner. It was just a matter of time before they m

Amidst the discussion, Albert’s jeep stopped in front of everyone. A valiant young man in uniform with stars on his shoulders came out of the vehicle. The guard wanted to help him put on the general’s coat but Albert stopped him. He had no right to flaunt his ranks before Kaze. Albert spotted Kaze right away. His eyes were overflowing with excitement as he strode over. From the bottom of his heart, he respected the man who had completely changed his life. He stood in front of Kaze and wanted to lift his shaking hand for a salutation. “Albert Hiden! Why the hell are you here?!” Miru, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly spoke in a rude and frosty tone. The condescension in her tone was obvious. She shocked everyone when she spoke. Not only did she call Albert’s full name, but she even disrespected him, the chief commander of South River Strategic Department! If the man was angered by her rudeness, the consequences would be severe. To everyone’s surprise, Al

Prejudice blinds a man’s eye. Due to the prejudice against Kaze, Agnes did not fully believe that it was he who called in the soldiers. Even though Johnny saluted Kaze before her own eyes, it felt surreal. When she heard Miru questioning Albert, she simply assumed it was Albert who called in the soldiers. “Uhm…” Albert found himself in a difficult position. He turned to Kaze with a bitter look, requesting help. If Miru did not contact him, he would not have known that she was captured. It was not until Kaze gave the deployment order that he found out Miru was captured. However, if he denied it now, he would lose the chance to fix the broken relationship with Miru. Kaze saw Albert being put in a spot, so he stepped in and said, “Yeah, it was Albert who called in the soldiers.” “Then why did you say you were the one who called them? You lied again!?” Agnes lashed out at Kaze again. Up until this point, it had become an instinct of her to blame him for everything.

Agnes’ words made the situation tense. Albert looked at Agnes in disbelief. He could not believe she would dislike Kaze to this extent. He knew better than anyone how popular Kaze was with the ladies. Back on the foreign battlefield, Kaze’s unrivaled might and valiance charmed countless women. Princesses from other countries came and offered all kinds of treasures and services just to bear his children. If Kaze agreed, he would attract tens of thousands of beautiful women with powerful backgrounds, all flocking to him like a swarm of bees to flowers. It was all because he was the God of War! The God of War who could single-handedly rival an entire country. Countless countries offered him money, women, and power to extend an olive branch but Kaze turned them down. Agnes looked down on Kaze and made her daughter divorce him. Albert felt bad for Kaze, but he could not intervene since it was Kaze’s family affair. He did not know that it was his arrival that made Agnes

The middle-aged woman was beautiful and shared a resemblance with Rhys. Her expression darkened, her eyes filled with anxiety. She was Naomi Road, Boris’ wife who was ten-plus years younger than him and Rhys’ mother. Kaze scanned the surroundings but did not see Boris anywhere. Naomi strode into the crowd and saw Rhys on the ground, covered in his own blood, and Kaze, who stood nonchalantly as if he was not part of the situation. Her face further darkened. “Rhys, what happened? Why is your head bleeding again? What happened to your nose?!” She turned to the crowd and shouted, “Who hit my son? Who did it!?” “Mother, help me…” Rhys cried even louder in his mother’s presence, saying, “It’s him! It’s Kaze Lee! He found out that we asked Chief Hill for help and he knew he’d be punished soon, so he got anxious and slapped me! “I fell and hit my head on the pavement. He then stomped on my face too! He disrespected our family and Chief Hill altogether! “He even said no on

The second group of people had accents from all over the place, seemingly tourists who came to Riverbank for vacation. When they arrived, Rhys raised his voice and cried louder. “Kaze Lee is trying to kill me! It hurts! He thinks he’s beyond the law, he thinks he’s stronger than Chief Hill! What did I do to you…” Rhys lived up to his reputation as the owner of an agency for actors and actresses. While he cried, he painted himself with blood, adding to his already messy appearance. “Rhys Road, you are shameless!” As more and more people gathered, Collier got anxious. He stepped forward and bellowed, “You’re accusing Kaze! You think Chief Hill doesn’t know that?” “Mhmm. Interesting.” Kaze looked at Rhys covered in blood, his nose still bleeding. The gaze from his eyes turned icy cold as he stared at the idiot. “Who is this punk? Why is he causing a scene here?” “Doesn’t he know Chief Hill is here at River Watcher Inn? How dare he! He’s even trying to kill someone?!”

“How dare you break Rhys’ legs! You’re dead!” “I heard you are a live-in husband with a beautiful wife. Too bad. Your wife is going to be a widow after today.” “Maybe we can help her with that, let her have some fun while you are gone.” “Hahaha…” Rhys’ followers went up to Kaze and Collier, surrounding and mocking them. They were furious, seemingly ready to avenge Rhys, but no one took action other than spewing empty threats. Kaze raised his brows, looking scornful. They were trying to provoke him to attack them, but the fools got the wrong person. Kaze was not someone who could be easily angered. Collier noticed the people were closing in on them and might jump on them at any time. He bellowed, “Rhys Road, stop this nonsense at once. Chief Robin Hill is inside River Watcher Inn and he’s meeting with Kaze!” When Robin’s name was mentioned, the people around them froze and helpless twitches could be seen on their faces. Their anger subsided a little. Even Rhys calm

“Kaze, Siberian is on his way to you. After what you’ve done to Anzu, he’s coming after your life.” South’s voice came through the phone once Kaze answered the call. “Kaze, please know that this is your personal conflict with Siberian and has nothing to do with me, or the Steelclaw Guild.” Kaze chuckled. “Siberian wants to avenge Anzu? He’s a cold-blooded killer. Since when does he have a conscience? Are you sure it’s not because of something else?” “It’s really personal this time. I just found out that Anzu is actually Siberian’s sister, like a true sister. Anzu was sent to Ryokan and learned under their grandmaster, so she would eventually be a Ryokanian. “Siberian has always hoped for his sister to help his family regain its former glory. Yet her first mission in Arcadia was to kill you, and you caught her, almost killing her. “God knows how much Siberian hate you now. Albert got the news as well. He was eager to face Robin and even volunteered himself. However, Kaze rejected him. There was no need to send Albert to deal with a trivial matter. It would only make it seem like Kaze was afraid of Robin. As for Collier, he was simply there to lead the way and drive Kaze around. Kaze did not expect him to be any useful. “Kaze, it seems like Boris Road is really coming after you. He probably twisted the facts in front of the Godfather and accused you of something else. That’s why, instead of Rory, Robin Hill was sent here with more men. “The chief of the Execution Hall has always kept a low profile and stayed hidden. I don’t know much about him. It’s a surprise that he could defeat Hannah. “As the chief of the Execution Hall, Robin Hill is certainly a figure with authority and power in the West State Viper’s Den. “I’ve got news that Boris Road and his wife, Naomi, are heading to River Watcher Inn with their best men from Great Road Group. Agnes was frightened by Phoenix’s fierce methods. She strongly believed the only way for her family to be safe was to follow Phoenix's orders and flatter Joan, and not oppose them anymore. Darcy frowned. “Are you sure about that?” She knew the truth regarding Kaze and Perfect World Group but not so much about the mayor’s decision. Therefore, she slightly leaned toward her mother’s suggestion. It was unlikely that the mayor would suspend a project that could potentially be worth billions just because Kaze requested so. Kaze confidently said, “Just trust me. I believe you still can get insider news from Sky Ocean Corporation, so you can keep up with what’s going on. Just listen to me and avoid that old hag.” He then took his phone out, which had been buzzed for a while. A glance later, he said, “I still have something else to take care of. I’m going out. “Don’t you run away now!” Agnes shouted. “You bastard! You put us in this mess and you’re leaving? So what if all that

Agnes did not care if Darcy was tired, she just wanted to get this done there and then. Kaze frowned. If he stayed, this nonsense would continue endlessly. He turned around and tapped Sky on the shoulder, saying, “Take Darcy upstairs to rest. I’m not coming back tonight.” Suddenly, Hector came over with the phone in his hand and a panicked expression. “Darcy, your grandaunt is on the phone. She wants you to go to Sky Ocean Corporation now.” “She wants me there?” Darcy and Agnes were both surprised. Darcy frowned but her mother shuddered with fear on her face. “Let me talk to her.” Kaze took the phone off Hector’s hand. The call was still connected, so he said, “Tell that old hag that my wife is not free now. If she wants to see Darcy, tell her to get over here herself.” Phoenix’s voice came from the phone and she did not sound happy. “You little bastard, you…” Kaze hung up the phone without giving her the chance to speak. Keep dreaming.” Agnes clenched her teeth. She continued threatening him, “Then I’ll go hang myself at the door! I want the whole world to know that my son-in-law made me do it! I don’t believe that after you forced me to kill myself, Darcy would still want to be with you!” Kaze then took some money out of his wallet. “Go get a good rope.” “You shitty…” Agnes was consumed by her anger. “Darcy, are you going to just watch as this bastard takes advantage of me?! “Let me go. I don’t want to talk to you now,” Darcy said, her tone remaining cold. Kaze decided to be shameless and said, “I am not letting you go. I am going to hug you until the end of time…” “You bastard! How dare you kick me! I’ll beat the shit out of you!” Before Kaze could finish, a sharp and irritating shout echoed across the backyard. Agnes, whom Kaze had kicked to the couch earlier, came with a broom in her hands and her disheveled hair as she strode over to Kaze. Kaze helplessly released Darcy and pulled her away. Darcy looked at the mad woman who was her mother. She then spotted the footprint on her abdomen and glared at Kaze. “You kicked my mother?!” Kaze shrugged and said, “She lost her mind. She slapped Hector and beat up Emiko, forcing her to scrub the floor on her knees. I thought I’d wake her up from the unhealthy fantasy.” “But you kicked her?! She’s my mother! What if you hurt her?” Darcy bellowed. When a woman dislikes you, even breathing could be
