Chapter 2881 Kneel Half an Hour

Author: Five Generals
“Stop eating, you stupid pig! Get rid of that bowl of ramen and apologize!” Agnes bellowed.

“Apologize?”

Kaze took another slurp from his bowl and then looked at Max and the others. “Are you guys sure?”

“Thump!”

Max trembled. The pressure made his legs weak and forced him down on his knees.

Maxine and the others knelt immediately, their faces paled.

“K-Kaze, you must be joking! Why would we want you to apologize?!”

“Yeah! It’s us who should be apologizing!”

“We were wrong and we came here with gifts to ask for forgiveness!”

Agnes and the others in the house were shocked by Max and Maxine’s response.

What happened?! Why did Max, Maxine, and the others knelt before Kaze?!

The seniors of the house were all speechless.

“Oh, so you guys are here to ask for forgiveness? Then keep it up. Thirty minutes later, get up and get out. I have to finish my ramen first,” Kaze said coldly before he turned around and left.

Agnes and the others were stunned at the entrance for q

“What did you say? Kaze really asked someone to transfer the two billion shares to Sky Ocean Corporation?!” Agnes stared at Maxine, her eyes widened in disbelief. Hector, Agatha, and Nelson were also astonished, their jaws dropped. “Yeah. Kaze was serious about it. He forced Patrick to make the transfer and even asked the Southern Tiger to watch over us, making sure the transfer was made before we could go.” Maxine’s voice trembled when she saw Agnes’ astonished gaze. Shocked, Max quickly stepped in and said, “No, it’s not like that! It’s Patrick who did wrong, that’s why Kaze made him perform the transfer. It’s not his fault, it’s ours. That’s why we are here with gifts to apologize to him.” “Yes! Yes!” The others nodded in agreement. As a matter of fact, Agnes and her family no longer cared about what Max and Maxine said. They were so stunned that they could not give a proper response. Back at the dining area, after Kaze finished his instant ramen, he got an unexp

“Hmph! All he did was transfer two billion to Darcy’s company! What gives him the right to talk to me like that? Does he think we need his money?” Hector, Agatha, and Nelson were speechless by Agnes’ swift change of attitude. It would be strange for Kaze to show her any respect or courtesy after the way she had treated him. … Kaze heard Agnes but he simply ignored it. Half an hour later, he arrived at Herbal Spring. The place was rather crowded, probably because Holfman was in the establishment and had been around for some time now. The three greatest doctors typically resided in Westeros, but now that they had come to Riverbank, many patients sought consultation from them—some traveling from as far as Butterworth. Kaze spotted a slender yet beautiful figure in the busy lobby—it was Sasha. She was running around, helping out—busy yet clearly enjoying herself. Her cheeks flushed from all the running and panting. She would pause to wipe her sweat from time to time. Wh

“Please calm down. I have to examine him further.” Hoffman had decades of experience in the medical field. He had met people even more disrespectful than the man, so he was not bothered and simply told him to calm down. He then stepped closer to the bed, slightly bent over, and started to touch Blackie’s arms and legs. “Ugh…” The barely unconscious Blackie groaned in pain when Holfman examined his injuries. “Fuck! You bastard! Get your hands off Blackie!” “Thump!” The man with the flabby cheeks slammed his fist on the side table, sending all the medical instruments crashing to the floor. The other men glared at Holfman, some even tried to pull the doctor away from Blackie. Seeing his master being scolded, Sebastian bellowed, “Shut up if you don’t know anything! Dr. Wright is examining the patient’s bones! If we don’t understand the extent of the damage, how can we treat him?” The man was struck with realization after being shouted at. He looked at Holfman sinister

“I can cure him but I might not be skilled enough. I’m afraid if I proceed with the treatment with the lack of skills, the patient might be paralyzed in the future,” Holfman explained patiently. He did not tell the man that based on Blackie’s condition, he believed not even Sam could fully cure him. Sam was a reputable doctor and a titan in the medical field, but he was just a man, not God. Blackie’s injuries were severe. It was not exaggerating to say that his life was over. However, such words should not be used in front of the group of fierce men. “Cut the crap!” The man rudely interrupted the doctor and said, “Old Man, you’re not refusing to treat Blackie because I scolded you earlier, aren’t you? “If it’s true, then you should be careful in Riverbank.” Hoffman frowned. No matter how good his temper was, he could not help but show a hint of anger. In a firm tone, he said, “What are you talking about? I’ve been a doctor for decades. I have never refused to treat a pa

“What?!” The fierce man was stunned before he had a better look at Kaze. His eyes then widened in disbelief. “I-It’s you?” The man recognized Kaze and his expression turned as white as a sheet. He clearly remembered Kaze slapped Blackie at the lounge last night, and it left an impact on him. What shocked him was that after South crippled Blackie and killed Genesis Weather, Kaze slapped South in the face to infuriate him completely.Back then, all of them thought Kaze was dead and could never walk out alive. Yet Kaze stood before him, alive and healthy, and even kicked him in the back. They had no idea what happened back in the lounge but being able to walk away from such an intense situation without a scratch was an amazing feat and it was enough for them to be terrified of Kaze. “What?” Kaze raised his hand and slapped the man again, throwing him backward and crashing into the wall behind him. The man covered his face in fear and confusion, his eyes widened in d

Dr. Wright learned from the men that Kaze had slapped Blackie the night before, which explained why they were so afraid of him. “Mhmm. You’re right not saving that guy. He’s working for some gangster boss of Riverbank. I think the name is Everett Techman. You should know that they always bully the weak and the kind,” Kaze said. “I see.” Dr. Wright nodded. “But it’s not that I don’t want to save him, it’s just that he’s beyond saving. The one who hurt him was merciless.” It was only normal for South, the Southern Tiger of the Steelclaw Guild, to be ruthless. Kaze did not comment on the topic. He chatted with the doctor about something else. “S-Sir, please don’t do this.” Suddenly, Sasha’s timid voice came from outside the lobby. “What do you mean, young lady? I am not doing anything to you.” A frivolous voice of a man followed. “I just want you to work at my company. You’re basically working like a janitor here, how much do they pay you a month? Is there even one gra

Duncan, who was joking and laughing a moment ago, froze upon hearing those words. The smile on his face turned stiff. His less-than-handsome face darkened. “Kaze!” Sasha did not care about Duncan’s change of expression. When she heard Kaze’s voice, she looked up with delight and ran over to him. Her face remained as pale as paper though. “It’s fine. I’m here now.” Kaze patted her head to calm her down before turning to Duncan and his men. “The son of a gangster is still a gangster. Bullying a girl in broad daylight? It seems you and your father have gotten too full of yourselves.” Duncan’s men were surprised. Then they glared at Kaze, bellowing, “Punk! How dare you talk to Duncan like that?! You’re getting it now!” Since Kaze mentioned Everett’s name, he clearly knew who the man was and how powerful he was in the underworld. Duncan realized the situation after a few seconds. He turned around to Kaze and stared at him coldly. With gritted teeth, he said, “You piece of sh

If Duncan allowed Kaze to walk away without any punishment and the news got out, he would lose face and become the laughingstock of his circle. He might even lose his status in the underworld. With that in mind, Duncan said coldly, “Old Fart, piss off! Don’t poke your nose into this, or else when I get rough, you might get hurt and people might call me disrespectful toward an elderly.” Dr. Wright spoke nicely to him but he replied with vulgarities, even calling him an old fart. Even one of the three greatest doctors in West State had a temper. Dr. Wright focused more on honing his patience and temperament, but after being insulted multiple times by a bunch of disrespectful young men, his patience was running thin. His expression darkened and said, “Young man, even if your father is here, you have no right to speak to me like that. “Please leave. Herbal Spring does not welcome you.” Duncan did not take Dr. Wright seriously at all. He widened his eyes angrily and bellowed

“Nothing much, but I’m interested to see whether you’re going to kick yourself.” Kaze’s comment left tension thick in the air. Proficient in navigating social settings, the ladies grabbed their glasses to calm the dynamics. They did not care about the conflict. Only by pleasing the customers could their bank account grow. “I’m sure whatever it is, we can talk it out, Mr. Lee. Why are you upset? You’re not hurting yourself.” “I’ll drink with you, Mr. Lee.” “Mr. Lee, let me peel grapes for you.” These women pulled all the stops to please Kaze. Jet fell into thought, unsure of how to sort the issue. He had no idea who Kaze was, so he could not just burn the bridge. Kaze was not the least bit appreciative. Despite Jet’s humility, Kaze still gave him an attitude. Usually, Jet would be pissed by now. Yet today, he had to tuck his tail between his legs and swallow his rage. He could not let his emotions get the best of him. No matter who Kaze was, Jet did not want to b

The women had been given an order. These were questions they could usually get their hands on, but now, their efforts hit a wall. Kaze would keep his mouth shut when it came to the key questions and simply drink wine. His silence sparked the ladies’ will to win. “Mr. Lee, why aren’t you talking? Is it because you don’t hold much power?” Since their less aggressive tactic did not work, these ladies tried to rile Kaze up. “Jet, do you really want to know who I am?” Kaze suddenly turned to Jet. Jet was surprised to be brought into the picture. He was having fun with one woman while listening to the conversation. These ladies were witty, asking the right questions, but Kaze would not give a straight answer. “I was just curious. I wonder if you are happy to let me in on it.” Jet believed he could drop his act now. Since Kaze knew he was after something, there was no use hiding. “I have a question for you,” Kaze uttered while prying a woman off him. He then forcibly r

Kaze wondered what Jet would do to him. To think Jet would adopt one of the oldest tricks in the book—the honey trap. Jet was forced to take this approach as he could not get information on Kaze. “Mr. Lee, these girls have a clean bill of health. You are free to use a room next to this one.” Jet subtly hinted. Jet was confident that no man would resist a gorgeous lady, and Kaze would be lost in lust. He poured himself a glass of wine and waved at the ladies to tend to Kaze. These women were veterans in the business. Despite their lack of knowledge about the situation, they knew what to do. They approached Kaze and sat around him. “My, you’re a handsome man, Mr. Lee.” “Do you want some grapes, Mr. Lee?” “Mr. Lee, I’ll pass the wine to you, and we can do it mouth-to-mouth.” The ladies, surrounding Kaze, started caressing him. “Is that all you got, Jet?” Kaze was in disdain. Jet did not take Kaze’s comment seriously. These ladies would take any man’s breath away.

It never occurred to Aloysius that Jet’s and Kaze’s first encounter would turn out to be rather confrontational. Nevertheless, Aloysius was just an assistant. He should not be meddling anyway. Pretending like nothing ever happened, Aloysius stepped out of the room without a word. “What have you been busy with? I can’t catch you anywhere.” Jet chatted Kaze up. “Nothing much. I’ve been wandering around,” Kaze answered nonchalantly, his eyes roaming the things on the table. He looked a little disgusted. Jet was not too pleased. He displayed his best-kept wine on the table, and these bottles were priceless. Only real collectors would have this impressive collection. Yet, Kaze did not appreciate the wine at all. “You must know who I am.” “Are you talking about the Frosts? How can I not? You called for this dinner. I wouldn’t have come without doing my homework.” Kaze looked at Jet as if he were an idiot.Jet felt insulted. “I guess you do. Of course, I’m going to ha

The car pulled up in front of a high-end club in the city’s most cosmopolitan area. “This is Kurosawa Club, a members-only establishment. Non-members can be invited by members, and to be a member, you have to be a high-paying consumer. Members are expected to deposit half a million bucks. “On average, the consumption here is no less than half a million dollars each time.” Aloysius sounded proud talking about it. The private club catered exclusively to the rich. The management came up with new and diverse ideas to attract these people to spend money. The entrance to the club was not obvious. It would be an easy miss unless the person had been there before. Aloysius brought Kaze right into the place. Entry to the club required the swiping of a membership card. Once the card was swiped, the information of the member would be registered at the bar, and an attendant would approach to provide service. Though it was not Kaze’s first rodeo, the whole experience was rather i

Kaze appeared to be there just for the food. Aloysius said nothing more. He invited Kaze into the car and drove out of the Northborn Hotel. With Kaze on the move, Arthur would make sure to stay by his side in the dark. Today was a different situation. Arthur brought along a few members of the Viper’s Den. “Arthur, is this necessary?” One member was confused. Kaze had been discreet, and nobody knew who he was. The agents were just following Arthur’s orders. “Our goal is to keep Kaze safe. Jet’s invitation to dinner is just a trap. If we don’t keep a close eye on the situation, all the issues will be on us.” The young members did not seem to know any better, so Arthur had to lay it thick on them. Without another word, the young members followed the vehicle Kaze was in. However, they did not have much respect for Kaze since they knew nothing of him. Kaze was in the dark about things over at Arthur’s end. Even if he did, he would not be bothered. “Where are we headi

“I hope Jet won’t disappoint me.” Ever since Kaze arrived in Butterworth, everything had been so peaceful to the point that it started to feel boring. Now that he could finally meet Jet, he wondered what surprises awaited him. Jet had started to suspect Kaze, so a move would be made against him. Standing by the side, Aloysius was waiting for further instructions from his boss. “He said we could arrange for a meal tomorrow morning at any location.” “How generous of him. He doesn’t seem to be afraid of me,” Jet said with a chuckle. Regardless, as long as Kaze was willing to meet, Jet was confident he could uncover Kaze’s identity and expose the secrets behind the veil of mystery. “Book a room at Kurosawa Club and prepare everything necessary.” Jet looked forward to meeting Kaze. He wanted to know what secrets Kaze held. A man who was unafraid of Katie had to have a strong background, yet he carried himself like just another nameless, ordinary man—which only made him e

“Jet’s assistant, Aloysius, is waiting in the lobby. Mr. Lee, do you want to meet him? If not, I'll clear the place out,” Arthur asked. “We are going to meet one way or another. I just wonder who he thinks I am now?” Kaze had drawn too much attention at Leah’s party the other day, and that might have been when he first caught Jet’s eye. “If you don’t want to meet him, I can clear the place anytime and I can also make a move against Jet Frost.” Arthur did not want Kaze to be stuck at a crossroads. “No need to worry. I have to go take a look anyway.” Kaze smiled. What was meant to come would come; it was something he had anticipated all along. Jet had lost a lot of projects and money recently. Kaze wondered if the guy had learned his lesson. Otherwise, he could do it all over again and teach Jet another valuable lesson. “Should we do something?” Arthur asked out of concern. “It’s okay.” Kaze was not afraid of Aloysius.
