Chapter 1941 This Is Bad

Author: Five Generals
Snow looked surprised before she nodded. “I just moved here recently.”

“Dr. Tyson, so you are saying that Lilyrose isn’t a good place for her? Snow moved here to work and that’s why she got sick?

“Does it mean if Snow leaves Lilyrose and goes back to Riverbank, she can get better?” Vance asked.

“If you want to put it that way, then yes.” Dr. Tyson nodded indifferently.

However, Kaze raised his brows.

The doctor claimed it was Lilyrose that made Snow sick.

The man sounded more like a scammer than a real medical science practitioner.

“Snow, you heard Dr. Tyson. Lilyrose is just a small place and it’s bad for your health.”

Miranda held Snow’s hand rightly and said strongly, “You can’t stay here anymore. You have to go back to Riverbank and find a new job there.”

Kaze curled his lips.

It was obvious what Vance and Miranda were trying to do—getting Snow back to Riverbank to create more chances for Vance to approach her.

However, their motive and intention sounded ridic

“Ms. Frost’s body is weak and you gave her the blood bird’s nest? It’s too much for her body to take! Do you want to get her killed?!” The kind and humble Dr. Tyson switched to an angry look and bellowed, “How can you disregard life like that?! You are putting her life at risk!” Miranda’s expression shifted. She pointed at Kaze and said, “Dr. Tyson, it wasn’t us! It was this guy here! He was the one who brought the bird’s nest soup for Snow! “Kaze Lee! You bastard! You disregarded Snow’s life because you were trying to win her over? If anything happens to her, I'll sue you!” Vance aggressively grabbed Kaze by the collar and shouted in his face, “Kaze Lee, you did it on purpose, didn’t you? I’ll fucking kill you!” “Let go of me,” Kaze said coldly. “Snow is my most trusted employee, why would I try to hurt her?” He knew better than anyone if Snow’s body could take such a powerful nourishment. “Mr. Lee is right. There’s no way he would try to hurt me. Vance, calm down!” Sno

“Two million!” Vance said with gritted teeth after a look at his mother. Dr. Tyson clenched his teeth as well. “It’s not about money, but for your sake, Vance, I’ll do whatever I can to treat Ms. Frost. “I might not be almighty but I can at least save Ms. Frost’s life. I won’t risk damaging my reputation by making false claims.” Vance and Miranda were thrilled. “Thank you, Dr. Tyson!” Kaze frowned. At first, he thought Vance teamed up with the doctor to put on a show in front of Snow just to appeal to her, but it turned out differently. By the looks of it, the doctor was trying to take advantage of the situation by demanding an exorbitant price. He might still be playing along with Vance but not entirely, which became interesting. Vance took his bank card out and gave it to the doctor. The card contained two million. Dr. Tyson took the card and started to write on a piece of paper. “This prescription was passed down to me by my ancestor. I don’t normally share it,

Miranda scoffed, “Young man, did you hear Dr. Tyson? How dare you question his professionalism? What a joke!” “Calm down. I’m not done.” Kaze did not even look at the woman. His eyes were fixated on Dr. Tyson. “This prescription is fine but it’s only for people whose body is terribly ill and weak, and requires a strong boost of nourishment. “To a healthy person without anything particularly severe, this prescription will cause over-nourishment, which will result in severe consequences that can cost lives. “And I quote Dr. Tyson, ‘It’s too much for her body to take’.” Kaze sounded serious all of a sudden. Dr. Tyson’s expression turned pale when he heard Kaze. “What nonsense are you talking about, young man?! You might know a thing or two about medicine but I am more experienced than you are. How dare you question my prescription?” the doctor bellowed. Vance scoffed, “Kaze Lee, the rich and powerful sought after Dr. Tyson’s service and consultation. Are you saying they

“He screwed up in Ridgesouth, so he came to South River and repackaged himself as a famous doctor. I’ll send you his profile in a bit,” Conan said on the phone. Kaze put his phone down and smirked at Dr. Tyson. Again, he asked, “Dr. Tyson, are you really a doctor?” “What do you mean, you little punk? I am a doctor, a famous and skilled one! How dare you question my identity?” Dr. Tyson did not know who called Kaze but his expression changed slightly. Nevertheless, he tried to appear fierce and stern. Kaze shook his head and sighed. “I see that you are trying to be stubborn, so don’t blame me. Whether or not you are a doctor or a fake, I might not be able to prove it but the police can. Let them verify this.” He then called the police. “Hi, I want to make a report about someone pretending to be a doctor and scamming two million. He’s in Lily Suites now, send officers here.” Kaze phoned the police and called Dr. Tyson a scammer. Vance and Miranda were stunned. Even Snow

“Then why don’t you ask the rich and powerful to save you?” Kaze said and put an end to the conversation. Lily Suites was a high-end condo where many business elites resided, including Snow. As a result, the police responded quickly to the call. Sirens could be heard in the lobby shortly after the report. “We’re from the Lilyrose Police Department… Mr. Lee?!” When the police officers saw Kaze at the entrance, they were surprised and quickly saluted him respectfully. Kaze pointed at Dr. Tyson and said, “This guy here is a scammer. Take him and investigate him.” “Hey! You can’t just arrest me! I’m Dr. Raph Tyson, and many of the elites are my clients…” “Zip it and come with us.” Dr. Tyson was seized and dragged out of the apartment. “Hey, he beat up two of my bodyguards, shouldn’t he be arrested as well?” Vance shouted at the police officers, urging them to arrest Kaze. The police officers ignored him and simply took Dr. Tyson away. Kaze looked at Snow. “You should

Snow frowned. “If he’s there to cause trouble, then just call the police.” “Ms. Frost, this man claims that he’s from the Quint family of Ridgesouth. We had called the police but no one came. He said if he can’t see you in half an hour, he will thrash the chairman’s office.” Hearing that, Snow’s heart skipped a beat. “I see. I understand.” After the call, she looked at Kaze. “Mr. Lee, someone is causing trouble at the office. I have to go back to see to it.” “You are still sick. Stay here and rest. I’ll deal with it.” She might not be terribly sick but as a boss with a compassionate heart, Kaze would not send her back just to deal with some work. Snow shook her head. “The person asked for me, so he must be there for me. I want to go and have a look. I’ve rested for a day and I’m feeling okay already.” When Miranda heard Snow, she realized this might be a chance for Vance. She shot a gaze at him. Vance tacitly understood his mother. He quickly said, “Someone is causi

“M-Mr. Quint, Ms. Frost is here!” said an employee with a slap mark on his face. When Snow finally arrived, the other employees of Perfect World Group felt great relief. The young men and women, who were joking and chatting a moment ago, turned to Snow altogether. When the men saw Snow’s exquisite features and frosty demeanor, their eyes widened. Even with their experiences with women, Snow’s beauty amazed them. They started to feel jealous of the chairman of Perfect World Group, who they had not met before. No man would be able to control themselves, more specifically their lust and desire, if they had such a beautiful woman as an assistant. The young man in the white suit sitting in the center turned around and when he laid eyes on Snow, the lust and desire in his eyes became brazen. “Mr. Quint, I’m Snow Frost.” Snow ignored the impolite gazes and walked into the office. Miranda and Vance were behind her and they were subtly scrutinizing the young men and women.

“Yoohoo!” Jackson cackled and grinned viciously. Then, the grin faded and he said coldly, “You want me to clean the office and leave so that you can pretend nothing has happened?” “Snow Frost, are you listening to yourself? How dare you talk to Jackson like that?” “You are full of nonsense!” “Perfect World Group is nothing to Jackson! If he wants your company to go bankrupt, it will go bankrupt overnight!” The other young men and women started to tease and mock Snow. Jackson’s grin widened as his friends voiced out to support him. He stared at Snow. “I’m curious who the chairman of Perfect World Group is. I heard he is elusive and not even Lilyroseans have the chance to meet him in person. “Why don’t you call him out and I’ll let you go for what you said to me just now?” Jackson already stated his identity yet Snow demanded him to clean the office, which piqued his curiosity. However, no matter who the chairman was or what he could do, Jackson did not take him ser

The hostages were locked up in the containers. Some of them were elites in their own field while some were ordinary people with average income, yet all of them got into trouble when they boarded the plane. Most of them could not accept their fate. Yet they dared not defy or resist the mercenaries. When things started to calm down, they broke down in tears, weeping in silence as resentment consumed them. Kaze sat down at a clean corner that allowed him to look outside the window. The window was dirty but at least he could see outside. The space inside the container was filled with people sitting closely, offering comfort to one another. They were aware they were just temporarily safe in this container. No one knew what the mercenaries would do to them at the next moment. “My parents must be worried. I said I would call them when I land but now I can’t even get in touch,” Barney muttered as he sat beside Kaze. He too looked outside the window, his feelings mixed. He watc

Kaze thought of what he had overheard in the toilet. If he told the hostages about that, they would probably panic. “It’s nothing. They are just going to separate us into different rooms or containers. They said the buses would be disposed of,” he said. He did not want to reveal too much because it would cause panic. Once the hostages knew their lives were on the line, things might spiral out of control. The mercenaries could kill a few of them to make an example, and none of the hostages would dare to cause problems anymore. Kaze kept it a secret because he wanted to protect the people. “That’s it?” “Is there anything else? How many men are there? What is their plan? Who are they looking for?” “We want to know because we want to survive. This isn't our problem—we just got caught up in it.” The hostages looked at Kaze, their eyes filled with worry. They felt aggrieved because they should not be caught in such a huge problem. “I don’t know either.” No matter how m

“There’s a room there. Get in.” The mercenary pointed his gun at the mother and son, which led them to look at Kaze nervously, seemingly asking for help. “What do you want?” The mother was nervous. She clutched her son’s hand tightly, nearly making him cry, but she reacted quickly enough to cover her son’s mouth to prevent him from doing so. “All women must go into that room. You go in now,” the mercenary explained. He did not want the woman to get the wrong idea. “You people won’t hurt me, right?” the mother asked, worried that she might be ravaged. “We are not into MILF,” said the other mercenary who was escorting Kaze, indirectly assuring the mother. Kaze shot a glance at the mother and nodded at her. “They told us they were going to separate us, so there’s nothing to worry about,” he said, worried that the mother and son would not cooperate. The mother then carried her son and followed the other mercenary into the room. It was called a room but it was actually ju

“Can you make him stop? If the man comes back, we’ll be done for,” someone said. The kid’s crying made everyone anxious. “What can I do? He’s crying because he’s scared. I can’t just stop him.” The mother was afraid as well, and she did not want her son to be taken advantage of. “Calm down. Just don’t alert the men and we’ll be fine,” Miguel said, hoping to ease the situation. “I’ll fight him if he comes in. I believe I can make it,” someone said. Those with an impulsive nature grew restless from being kept on the bus for too long, feeling like livestock being kept in cages. “Shut it. They are coming,” Barney said after a glance outside the window. The other passengers fell silent, sat back down, lowered their heads, and tried their best not to look out the window. The mother quickly hugged her son and covered his mouth to prevent him from crying. Kaze felt peace and quiet once more, even the air felt smoother. He knew the passengers were merely ordinary people and

Unfortunately, Leah knew she would not get an answer out of Snow since she was refusing to help. Everything seemed to have changed following her mother’s disappearance. She tried to stay for answers but when security came in, she could not resist them anymore. It was the first time she was escorted out by security guards and it impacted her. She used to be the daughter of the CEO of Northborn Group—everyone respected her. She used to enjoy a privileged status. No matter where she went, she was the star of the event. Yet when her mother disappeared, everything changed. She wanted to look for Kaze but she had just lost the chance. Snow turned her down and gazed at her with contempt and irritation. Leah could not accept the changes but some things felt like they were destined to change. She was forced to leave the branch office but then had no idea where else to go. She felt abandoned by the world. Before this, she could still hope for Kaze’s help, but now she had no

Leah went to her mother’s company but did not find her anywhere. Joey was busy working in the CEO’s office. Leah went over and asked, “Joey, where’s my mother? I can’t reach her.” She wanted to know what happened to her mother. “I don’t know about your mother either. We went out together earlier in the day but I don’t know where she went. I can’t get in touch with her.” Joey was so busy that she could not even free herself from the desk to explain to the girl. “Where did she go? How am I supposed to find her?” Leah panicked. If even Joey did not know where her mother went, then something must have happened. A bad feeling rose from her heart. Things just got serious. “I don’t know. Why don’t you ask someone else?” Joey did not have time to deal with the girl. Leah was unfamiliar with Joey’s coldness. Joey had always treated her with kindness and flattery, so the sudden coldness caught her off guard. She felt like something had changed. “Who should I be looking f

“No! My daughter is still in the hospital!” Katie refused to accept her punishment. She started to regret her decision but it was too late. “Now only you think about your daughter? I guess you are not that foolish, but have you thought about her when you betrayed Chairman Lee? “Don’t worry. Leah knew Chairman Lee personally and we won’t hurt her, but she might not live a good life anymore,” Snow said coldly. She did not want to put the girl in a difficult situation but her life as a princess would come to an end. “You can’t do that!” Katie could not believe Snow would do that. “I bet you never thought of the consequences when you leaked the information. Too bad. You’ve lost.” Snow revealed the truth because she wanted Katie to suffer for the decision she made. Katie would now regret every decision she made because she knew she had jeopardized her daughter’s life. She would feel like a fool. She devoted her life to climbing higher to gain more power but she ignored the

“I went to a bar to have a drink and I bumped into an informant of the Viper’s Den.” Katie looked helpless as she explained as if everything that had happened was planned out for her, pushing her to the edge step by step. It was a lively night at the bar. The atmosphere was pleasant and most of the guests were having a good time. Katie was a single woman. She needed care and love at times. She was alone when she visited the bar. She started off by ordering some drinks at the counter, waiting for a chance to meet a man who shared the same ideals. A drink or two later, maybe she could get herself a company for the night. As a grown-up woman, she had her desires. It was a way to release her stress. Katie entered the bar in a casual outfit but it did not diminish her elegant demeanor. When she sat down at the counter, a few young men approached her but she was not interested in immature boys. She continued drinking. She looked at the dance floor occasionally, searching for a

“Who do you think will believe you?” Arthur frowned. There were too many coincidences that it felt like a giant setup. “I’ve explained what I need to. Don’t interrogate me like I’m a criminal. I am the CEO of the Northborn Group.” Katie left them speechless. She had said the necessary and it was up to them whether they wanted to believe it or not. They did not have the evidence to charge her anyway. “You really think we can’t hold you responsible?” Snow was not really looking for a definite answer. The moment she suspected Katie, whether or not she was truly the traitor, Snow already had the right to hold her accountable. It was necessary to make things clear and it was to find out who Katie leaked Kaze’s information to. “It has come down to this. No matter how you deny it, it’s useless. We already know what you have done and you can’t escape. Even if you don’t want to confess, we can continue the investigation, and we’ll eventually find out the truth. “If you come clean
