She kissed Nick on his lips then, and rushed on “Go! I will see you later tonight. Wait for my signal”
He turned around and went through the bushes the same time as she stepped out of the cabana. She was a little surprised he still knew how to get in and out of her home so well.
Bradley looked upset and something else she couldn’t quite tell. She had pasted on a happy smile as soon as she saw him coming.
“I’m sorry darling,” She rushed on, “I just needed some air. I heard you calling me. Is everything alright?” She hoped she sound saccharin and genuine.
She must have because he smiled at her and spoke then.
“Just checking on you, darling. A married man has the right to check up on his wife.” He smiled at her.

Elayna opened her eyes and within seconds realized she was back in her home in her husband’s bed. Had it all been a dream? She asked herself. Her room looked like a hospital room. There were various medical machines and beeping noises. She felt the back of her head throbbing and touched it. It was wrapped in gauze. The sunlight poured into the room. She remembered the explosion and hitting her head. She also remembered who had caused it all. Last night had been real, she thought. She tried to get out bed once more and noticed she was handcuffed to the bed. She heard Bradley’s voice then. He was standing by the window looking out on their property.
