CHAPTER 96: EVERYTHING

MICHAEL

The sun was barely rising, but my eyes flew open when I felt Natasha stir beside me, mumbling in her sleep.

Grunting as I stretched, I glanced at the clock and saw that it was just past four in the morning.

I picked up my phone from the bedside table and saw a message from Detective Han. He had left it an hour ago, stating that he had some information about the suspect we were dealing with.

"Good," I muttered, rubbing my eyes as I gently pulled my arm from under Natasha's head.

"Hmm... Michael," she mumbled, weakly grabbing my arm as I sat up.

"Yeah?" I turned to her and kissed the corner of her lips.

"Where are you going?" She asked, her voice groggy and barely comprehensible.

"I just need to check a few things with Detective Han, but I'll be back in time for breakfast," I whispered, unable to resist showering her with kisses.

"Hmm--kay," she moaned before falling back into a deep sleep.

After freshening up, I left her a note just in case I couldn't make it back in time. I tu
