CHAPTER 40: WORRIED MOTHER

"Maybe we can find a peaceful resolution, Fred. I could talk to my son and try to convince him."

As a woman, I need to stay calm. As a wife, it's my duty to support my husband and lend a hand when he needs it. And as a mother, I must protect my son.

"You did it your way, and it didn't work." Frederick stood up, pouring himself a full glass of liquor. "Your son violated my daughter. He stained her, he took her dignity!"

I looked at Elena, she didn't seem guilty, but I did. All I see in Elena's eyes is her desire for my son.
