“I think I should just stay here for now.”

Tanya sighed as she clutched her purse.

“What were you expecting? For him to run back with you after you kicked him out?” her subconsciousness poked at her.

She sighed before tapping the partition divider.

As her driver pulled out of the driveway, she supposed somehow she had thought it might be that simple.

She knew she had hurt him, and she had come to realize that he was a sensitive person.

She was not used to being around men who showed their genuine emotions, so seeing the conflicting emotions on his face as they spoke was more torture for her.

He accepted her apology for the way she attacked him that day at the palace and for not giving him a chance to explain himself earlier.

She could feel how much he wanted to hold her. The feeling was so obvious that it called to what she was feeling inside, but to her frustration, he held back,

“I am writing my new book and I have been able to focus more since I got here,” he had added hastily.
