The Leaking Truth

I sigh and walked away, back to my brothers who are as loud as a zoo. I go to the furthest sofa and just sit back and close my eyes for a moment only to open them and saw what I wish I had never seen in my whole life. Trevor and Jaxson following the flirty scene in the movie while Lucas and Neva just laughing like a maniac. On the other hand, Eddie seems to have given up on them. I just sigh silently while smiling knowing that I still got them even if the world betrays me. Not long after we heard a loud thump from above and a glass shattering and some muffled screams were heard then suddenly everything was quiet. We all looked at each other and goes straight to her room, scrambling in the process.

Back to Liliana Perspective,

After finding Val's room I knock on the door and come in as he responds.

"Heyyy... Whatcha doing? Lucas said you've been here since this evening, you ok?"

He sits up and smiles at me as he just nods at my remark " I'm good no problem. I was just tired and wanted some quiet time since they are hella noisy down there."

I laugh at his response as I agree with his remark. They indeed are very noisy. I can even hear their voice from here. I walk closer to Val as he was sitting on his bed.

Suddenly Val pull me closer so we ended up sits side to side on his bed. He looks guilty as he said, " I'm sorry Lily, I heard you spoke to Jacob on the corridor. I didn't hear it clearly but I can tell you that your brother is alive and well. He will talk to you soon. I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation with Jacob." He drops his face down, his hair covering his eyes, and his finger fidgets with each other.

Hearing his sudden confession, I was so shocked. I ruffle my wavy brown hair and sigh. It seems like my secret was exposed now. But what Val said about my brother being alive shock me more as I always thought he died or gone somewhere after I ran away. I slowly look at Val, my eyes sting as it goes blurry covered in my tears that's yet to drop as I felt my lips quiver. My trembling hands hold Val's hand as I spoke, " V-Val... Please. I-If you're joking with me. I... I beg you to stop. I'm fine with you hearing my talk with Jacob but saying my long-lost brother is alive and well just like that is not funny. Have you...meet him somewhere? Are you sure? Val. I beg you. Tell me what you know Val. No, Vallen Theodore, I beg you, please. Don't lie to me. "

My tears flood my cheeks, dripped down the blanket, wetting it as it created a dent of color from grey to dark grey. Seeing how my body trembles, Val puts me in his embrace. His hand softly strokes my back trying to calm me down. " Lily, calm down and hear me out. I can't tell you much right now but yes, you're right. I've met your brother and I am sure he is alive and well. I can assure you that. So don't worry, when the time comes, he will tell you that himself."

I weep more as I heard his explanation. What I felt was a very complex emotion that I couldn't decipher myself. I don't know what I'm feeling. Relief? Sadness? Anger? maybe all of them. Why did they hide it from me? for so long, I've known Val for almost 3 years yet he didn't speak a single thing to me about this. Even tho I've ranted about it multiple times, I did my research in front of him, sometimes even with him. Why? How can he do this to me? But is it truly his fault? Maybe he is doing it out of consideration, knowing he didn't have evidence that can assure me and didn't want to give me false hope. This thought circulates in my mind as I felt soft strokes on my back that never stop.

The room was silent, only the sound of my cries was heard. He was just there, hugging me while patiently waiting for me to calm down. I felt comfortable and my body relaxed as I started to be calm. When he realized that I'm more tranquil, he softly spoke to me. "Lily... I'm truly sorry for not telling you. I'm sorry for staying silent even after seeing your effort in finding your brother these whole 3 years. Will you forgive me? I know you're angry. I can understand your feeling and your thoughts. But even so, I'm selfishly asking you to forgive me."

I stayed silent for a whole good minute until I separate myself from his embrace and look up at him with my puffy red eyes. I smile slowly as I spoke, "Val, You've supported me in my ups and downs. You've been there with me throughout the way and accompany me on being who I am today. I can't say that I'm not mad at you, but I forgive you, Val. Just please don't do this to me again."

After hearing that, tears started to form in Vallen's eyes as he said thank you to me with a smile on his face. A tear of joy that's embraced with smiles is something I would never regret. I felt a surge of achievements as if I've grown more mature, I smile and hug Val.

After that, we both calm ourselves down and just laugh while joking a bit. Not forgetting my purpose I told Val about my reward from Jacob which it seems he already knows since he heard it." Call your mom right? You can use my phone there on the table. You can come to me anytime you want to talk to your mom."

I nod and smile at how he shows me his consideration and I called my mom and told her I was fine. I told her that I won't be back for a while since I was under certain circumstances. I assure her that I was fine and that she doesn't have to worry about a thing as I'm having a good time right now and that I will solve the problem soon. Lastly, I told her I love her and tell her how great full I was to her. After my call, I give the phone back to Val and go to my room to rest as I was also getting tired.

I was having a nightmare and are crying while hugging my pillow. When I woke up I feel bad as if that nightmare had just happened since it felt so surreal. The room was quiet until I felt a wind pass through and a creaking sound of the wooden floor. I have not opened the window as the air conditioner was on. For a moment I thought it was Neva or Val but no it was a stranger with a weird clown mask. I was shocked and was about to laugh thinking it was Trevor or Jaxson prank until the strange clown man pointed a gun towards me.

In reflex I stiffen and stayed quiet, he told me to stand up and move towards the window and so I did. Didn't expect that I had the guts to turn around and push the gun up and kick his stomach. He groans in pain and I prepare to fight in whatever way that I can think of as my head was panicking right now and somehow I wasn't sure where I get this bravery. I was ready until suddenly he laugh like a maniac and spoke with a cocky intonation

"You are just like what he expects. Hahaha no...Your even better, but..."

I was confused since I wasn't prepared mentally but then he continued,

"Tsk tsk tsk... Oh Lily, Dear Lily I didn't expect this boringness out of you. I thought you would at least gives me more amusement but oh well, it doesn't matter since I'm gonna be with you for a long time. So, why don't I introduce myself? My name is..."
