Maxwell had no choice. He waited for the door to close before looking back at Lovey.

After several glasses of wine, Lovey’s cheeks were flushed. Her fair skin made her look soft and rosy.

When she noticed Maxwell looking at her, she bit her lower lip. Her actions were probably motivated by shyness, but they exuded a charming come-hither allure.

Maxwell stared at her blankly, but Sonnet's face appeared in his heart.
