Chapter 756

Sonnet was doing some online shopping on her phone. When she heard someone come in, she looked up abruptly and met Maxwell's gaze again!

Maxwell wailed inwardly. Was his dear wifey trying to stop him from going home or something?

On the surface, though, he smiled at her sweetly. "Why haven't you gone home yet, darling?"

He peeked over at Sonnet's phone. She was buying masks and caps for men.

Sonnet's expression turned stern, and she asked him like a mother lecturing her child, "Well, why haven't you gone home yet?"

"I-I…" Maxwell could not come up with an answer. He wanted to say that he was trying to go home right now.

Sonnet sighed softly, clearly misunderstanding something. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek, saying, "There, can you go home now?"

Maxwell touched the spot where she kissed, his heart singing. Like a good boy, he nodded and walked back out.

When he reached the door, he turned around and asked, "What are you buying, wifey?"

"A cap and masks for you.
