Sonnet hesitated for a second, but then she walked inside anyway. After what happened between her and Johnson, it felt strange to be sitting here alone with him, drinking coffee.

Still, she had to put her pride aside and ask him about what happened five years ago, for Jaybie's sake. If he had really been to Lil Lux Club five years ago, then she would ask him for a paternity test right away.

She could have tried to sneak a sample like she did last time, but after the mess-up with Hayden's test, she decided to come clean with Johnson this time.

The two of them sat on the couch. Sonnet had a sip of coffee to lubricate her throat, then she asked, "I want to ask about something that happened in the past. Tell me, were you in Harbor City five years ago?"

Johnson nodded. "Yes, I was."

"Then, do you remember going to a place called Lil Lux Club on the 20th of September five years ago?"

Johnson's expression changed, and he looked at her wordlessly.
