Sonnet was caught off guard. When she was about to ask him to put her down, she found herself already lying on the bed and covered with a blanket.

She was stunned for a moment, not knowing what Johnson was doing.

“Watch Jaybie. I’ll be right back,” Maxwell said before quickly leaving.

Less than five minutes later, he came back with something wrapped in a towel in his hand.

He walked to the bedside and stuffed the thing into Sonnet’s blanket. She felt a hot object rolling into her arms and quickly took it out.

Upon opening up the towel, she found a glass bottle, which was probably filled with hot water.

She looked up at Johnson in surprise.

“I got it from the nurse. Warm yourself up quickly,” Maxwell said gently.

Sonnet put the bottle back into the blanket and pressed it against her abdomen. Immediately, she felt warmth spreading throughout her body, relieving some of the pain in her abdomen.

“Thank you,” she said to Johnson, but she was still puzzled.
