Almost a week later, Lucas called Sonnet. He told her that he had reserved a private room at the Grand Harbor City Hotel. He invited Sonnet and Lindy's family to have a get-together over the weekend.

On Saturday, Sonnet asked Logan for a day off and went out with her kids and her father.

Sonnet was about to book an e-hailing ride, when Lindy said, "No need to book, a car will pick us up soon."

"You book a ride?"

"No, Marcus arranged it."

Sonnet was pleasantly surprised. "So, you two are together now?"

Lindy shook her head like a rattle. "It's impossible between us, forget about it."

"Then why would he pick you up?"

"He accidentally found out that we were going to the Grand Harbor City Hotel. He thought traveling there will be inconvenient because there are so many of us, so he arranges a car to pick us up."

"Accidentally found out. And you believed that?! Don't you know why a man is courteous to a woman?" Sonnet sneered.

Lindy waved. "Oh, you know nothing about us. He wouldn’
