After he finished speaking, the others followed suit.

Several of the burly men spoke so loudly that it was as though they were using a speaker. It was terrifying even though the men were not doing anything and were just surrounding them.

Jessie's expression changed slightly, and she said to Johnny, "Johnny, get in the car!"

Johnny immediately opened the door and got into the car, but two of those burly men walked up to the front of their car to block them.

Jessie held the steering wheel and wondered if she should turn on the ignition.

"Johnny, it's only fair that you pay your debts. If you don't pay back today, we'll keep following you!" the burly men shouted from outside.

Johnny did not know what else to do, so he turned to look at Martha and said, "Mom, do you have any funds at home? Please help me out. This is an emergency. I’ll pay you back when I have the money."
