Chapter 164

Felix had resigned, and Skylar was in a mess of her own making. Sonnet was no longer in danger, so she made up an excuse saying she would head home with her colleagues and told Lewis to stop picking her up every day.

There was actually another reason she did not want Lewis picking her up. If he was around, she would not be able to visit her father after work.

It was Sonnet’s first day heading home on her own. After reaching the suburb, she visited the Harrison Estate first.

Myles was eating watermelon with her two children. The two kids held half a watermelon each and used a special scoop to dig out watermelon balls. They alternated between eating one themselves and giving their grandfather one.

The kids took turns feeding him, until juice kept dripping from the corner of his mouth.

Sonnet laughed when she saw this and walked up to her father, wiping his mouth with a towel.
