Chapter 59

Vanessa:

I woke up the next morning feeling groggy and tired. Sleeping lete was never a food idea for me.

I dragged myself out of bed, jumped into the shower and in less than thirty minutes, I was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans trousers, ready to go home.

My parents were back from their trip and I needed to go and welcome them properly. Besides, it was high time I gave Leo the space he deserved in his home. I had spent a total of two days with him and thought it was high time I left even though I really didn't want to.

As I arranged my things in the suitcase, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss and longing. If I was being honest, I quite enjoyed being around Leo. He was funny and sweet and accommodating. I didn't feel suffocated in his presence nor did I feel the need to run away from him regardless of his confession last night.

Letting out a sigh, I picked up my bag as soon as I was done and exited the room.
