Elise replied in a gentle voice, "Hi, Blakey. I need to visit the hospital today for a checkup. I'm a little scared, so can you come with me?"

Yasmin was sitting quite close to Blake. So, she could effortlessly hear what Elise was saying.

She smirked.

She knew that Elise wouldn't sit still.

Today was the day that Yasmin and Blake would finally divorce, so Elise had to be anxious to know if the divorce had been finalized.

"I'll ask Malcolm to go with you," Blake calmly answered.

"Are you not coming?"

"I have something to take care of."

"Blakey, a-are you getting divorced?" Sure enough, Elise couldn't stop herself from asking the question.

Blake pressed his lips together before replying, "Yeah, we just finished filing for it."

There was an audible gasp from Elise's end of the line.

Yasmin had a feeling that Elise was secretly ecstatic about this, but on the outside, Elise sounded guilty as she said, "Is it because of me? I'm sorry for causing your divorce…"
