*Sydney Roswell's POV*
—After we had sorted out the things we wanted to do for the rest of the day after we got back to Chicago, we went to do something that we could do around the neighborhood before heading to the airport.First, we headed to the Hunters' mansion to check if Mimi was there, but we heard that she flew to NYC the other day to be with OJ before she could leave them forever. Next, we went to Grace's house to look for her, too, but she had just gone to the airport last night to go to OJ also. Yes, she did mention to me that she'll go there after the quarterly exams. Then, as we were walking on the street, three blocks from the Thales' residence, something caught my attention when my gaze fell to the park on the opposite side from where we were.I nudged my girlfriend and pointed to the people I spotted, which I thought would interest her."Hey, OJ, look! Your exes.""Where?" She asked, following my gaze to the coup*Sydney Roswell's POV*—"Mi Amor, can we go somewhere? Just a few hours? An hour or two. I want to show you something… again." I asked OJ with a big smile as I sat up on my bed, and she looked at the time on the wall clock and then at me."Where?" She curiously asked me while sitting on the stool next to my bed."Secret. Just come with me. We'll get back here after dusk. I promise." I replied and grabbed her left hand as I stepped out of bed to head out of my room. When we were about to walk out of the elevator, we saw my brother and Wendy walking into the lobby and heading into where we were.We passed by them, and they got inside the elevator. But then, something caught my attention as I got a glimpse of Adam's face. The bridge of his nose got a bandage, and there was a cut on his lower lip on the right side."What happened to your bro's face?" OJ asked, and I replied, "I wondered the same thing, Oj. He must have gott
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---"Syd? Sydney?" I called her name with a broken voice as I didn't want to accept the truth. I don't want to open my eyes and find her nowhere near me. I don't want to think of anything tragic.I slowly opened my eyes and looked around the empty room. She's not anywhere here. I was just holding her, embracing her. What happened? Where did she go?No, it's not true. She can't be gone. This is not happening. It can't be. She can't leave me just like that."Where are you? Sydney?" I yelled while sobbing, and I covered my mouth as I couldn't help but feel extremely hopeless."No. Syd, come back. Where are you? This is not funny, Roswell!" I screamed and kept crying, hugging myself and wishing her to be here with me. I need her to be here with me. "You, stupid blonde! You didn't even say goodbye. Not even an... 'I love you, too!' What the f*ck? Sydney... I hate you. I hate you for leaving me.
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---I couldn't be happier, knowing that Sydney was alive and okay, and at the same time, her friends found my mother.Does this mean I might have a chance to live? Do I? I deeply hope so.I turned my gaze to Vidia as she handed Emma the tablet and stylus and looked at Sydney."Alright, listen up, girl. I will only tell you a few important details because we really need to go if you want to kiss and touch your precious OJ soon. Here's what happened and the whole plan. Earlier today, the police had arrested those bastards who caused these... bullsh*ts to you, and your brother pounded their faces and even broke some ribs when we saw them at the station, and---" Vidia explained and was cut off by the raging Adam when he received a look of disbelief from his little sister."Because, what am I supposed to do? Tickle them? Thank them? Nah! I will even kill them if something more terrible has happened to you
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---"Mom? Where are you going?" I asked my mother when she stood up after keeping the flyer and her phone inside her purse. Then she walked to the door."Mom! Hey! Don't go, please! Wait!" I called her out, even if she couldn't hear me, and I ran after her."Wait! Oh, hell no!" I cursed as I saw her going to a parked car on the opposite side of the road. I hastily looked at where Vidia had gone, and I saw her still looking around the establishments around the street."Vidia! Mom's here! She's going away! Hey! Geez! What should I do?" I yelled and contemplated what to do as I had no freaking idea. I don't know if I should go with my mom or with my girlfriend's best friend who's been looking for my mom. But neither of them could notice me, so... It wouldn't matter.I'm going with my mom. After thinking twice and thrice, I hurried to my mother's car to go with her. And I gue
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---While my mother and Vidia were preparing and talking about everything they needed to talk about, I left my mom's house to visit Sydney before heading to New York City for three hours from now. I will just meet them at the airport for the earliest flight heading to New York.I walked on the streets and said silent prayers, and I had nothing else in my mind but all positivity. I'm feeling anxious and happy at the same time. I don't know yet if we can make it, but I am hoping that we can. I just need to see my girlfriend one more time, because I'll surely miss her. When I had arrived in the lobby of the hospital, Syd was confined, I felt something touching my right hand, and I looked at it in bewilderment. Someone must have touched my hand back to where my physical body is. And I smiled when the sensation of the touch seemed like tracing a letter on my palm. It's a letter E—Emma. They must have made it into
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*—As I looked around my room, I saw many familiar faces here, and what caught my attention was the doctor sitting on a stool near the couch while his hands were tied behind him, and he got a broken, bleeding nose. Dude, what happened here? What have they done?"Hi, Olivia! Welcome back, girl!""The doctor has been taken good care of!""I like that guy! Is his name Kevin? I heard it was Kevin. I'm sure of it. Hi, Olivia! I know you will come back here! We missed you!" Some of my ghost friends cheerfully greeted me, and Clinton opened his arms wide to put me in his embrace. Oh, I missed them, too!I looked at the others and noticed there were only two more of the ghosts here."Hi, all of you! Where's Dylan?" I asked and received a shaking head in response from Clint and Ericka."He passed away about a week ago. He vanished, just like thin air, and the next thing we knew is he's dead." Lucy said, and I gasped, hearing the tragic news. I should have been n
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"Are you freaking serious, Syd? You don't remember a thing?" My best friend asked me, and I looked at my cousin and Emma, who were eager to hear my answer.I nodded and shook my head, and they all looked surprised and worried at the same time. What is the matter with them?"Syd, are you sure? Don't you remember OJ? Oh, my ghost!" Kevin asked and gasped when I just sheepishly smiled at him and shook my head in response, and Emma rubbed her nape.I turned my gaze to Vidia, and she took a deep breath while looking so troubled. "We should call the doctor again," Vid suggested, and I raised an eyebrow."Why? He just examined me." I asked and tried to sit, but I couldn't as I could feel extreme pain from my casted left arm and my upper right back."Nope. We need to know the diagnosis. If we need you to be examined again, we should. How can you forget? You forgot her?" Vid insisted and was about to make her signature move of walking back and forth whenever she's f
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---It's the night of the 5th of April, and we all were trying to make plans as I can finally be discharged tomorrow. And we can go home to LA."So… if we get home, we all heard what the doctor said, right? Sydney needs to rest more at home. About two or more weeks. Damn, especially that broken arm of yours. Don't worry. We will be assisting you with everything you need." Vidia explained, and Emma raised a hand and voiced out her concern."Yeah! I strongly agree that we should just live with you since your homies still can't fly. I know you can't do everything all alone, like usual. You need hands—lots of hands, girl. And OJ's can't be counted yet. You both need to wait for quite some time to be using your hands for specific purposes. Don't look at me like that, Sydney, because what I mean is not that one you have in your green mind. You, you need your left hand to heal so that you can paint or write sh*ts, and OJ… she can't touch anything yet without her physic
