The aroma hits my nostrils and my mouth watered at the sight of the food. I wondered if it would taste better than Drew's food. I am still yet to taste food that supersedes his. Here I go doing it again; making comparisons. I have to stop this habit if I want to move on from relying on the ghost brothers every time.

Without wasting much time, I picked up the spoon and scooped a small quantity of the food set in front of me. As soon as the spoon reached its target, I could feel the different flavours of the food settling on my taste buds. I could taste the fish and the stew mixed up with the rice. It was delicious and I found myself taking another spoonful of the food.

I took a sip of the wine to wash down my palate. “This tastes amazing,“ I announced, “What's the name of this dish?“ I asked him.

“Fish Mappas," he replied.

I searched my memory to see if I have heard of it before now but came up with nothing. "I have never heard of it before now," I informed him.

“Well, it's a coco

"No, they didn't," he replied."So… why make that statement? One would think that you have been greatly betrayed by those close to you," I pointed out."Betrayal comes in various ways. My definition of it might be different from yours.""Mmm… true. So, do you mind sharing about this betrayal of friendship," I probed forward. He laughed. "Sometimes, I tend to forget that you are a reporter, sorry… a journalist at heart," he corrected."Yes and that is why I can't help being inquisitive," I said, shrugging my shoulders."So, how are you enjoying the food?" He asked, digressing to a different topic.I didn't need a translator to tell me that he didn't want to talk about it. He should have just told me directly instead of shifting topics like I was a dimwit. Deciding not to call him out on his antics, I played along with him. If there was one thing I was good at it was getting someone to talk about what I wanted without them knowing. "It's amazing. The different burst of flavours is addi

I woke up the next morning feeling terrible. After coming back from the dinner date the previous night, I immediately crashed on my bed, ignoring the questions from Drew and his brothers. I was exhausted and it didn't take long for me to fall into a deep slumber. I had hopes of waking up feeling refreshed and energised but it was the exact opposite. I felt like a truck had run me over because my whole body was aching. I stretched a hand over my eyes, to prevent the light from coming in through the gap in the window. I groaned in pain as I lifted my hands. I was sweating and I knew that I had come down with a fever or something. My throat was itchy and I desperately needed to have a drink of water to wet my throat. I tried to get up from my bed and it took a lot of effort for me to do that. I was breathing heavily as if I had just run a marathon whereas all I did was get down from my bed and walk to the door. I managed to open the door and walked sluggishly into the hallway, dragging

“Alright, I have got the first aid box here,“ Mason announced as he walked back into the kitchen. “Since when did you become a doctor?“ Calvin asked, laughing at his brother who had placed the first aid box on the kitchen counter and was perusing through the contents. “Since we had a sick lady in the house,“ he responded, bringing out a thermometer from the box. “Hell, no. You are not getting that thing near me," I screamed, moving backwards as he approached me. “How are we going to know if you are sick or not?“ Mason asked. "Do you even know how to use it?“ I asked him instead, I have a phobia of hospitals and anything that has to do with their instruments. Yes, it was that bad. To be more precise, I have a fear of injections which is why I tend to avoid getting sick but unfortunately, I couldn't escape it this time around.“Seriously, Amanda. It's just a thermometer,” he stated. "I know that, okay?“ “So?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow at my reaction. "I just want to know i

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling the need to drink water. My throat was dry and croaked. I sat upright on my bed and checked my bedside table for the glass of water I had placed there before going to bed but it was empty already. I might have drank it before going to bed and forgot to replace it. Grumbling at my displeasure of having to get down from the bed and make a trip to the kitchen to get water, I flipped the blanket over and stepped out of my bed. I sluggishly made my way toward the door and out of the room into the hallway. It was quiet which wasn't unusual. The only light coming into the house was from the window facing the outside of the city. I successfully made my trip to the kitchen and poured myself some water. After taking a few gulps and wetting my throat, I slowed down on the gulps I was taking before I choked. I dropped the glass into the sink after drinking the water and as I turned back, I ran into a cold body making me let out a scream. "Hey, Amand

“Why are you concerned with how my body has reduced? After all, there are so many people out there who are working their asses off just so that they could lose some weight,” I said, shrugging my shoulders and trying to play it cool. Drew scoffed and moved closer to me. He grabbed me by my waist and tugged me closer so that I could feel the coldness of his body. I don't know if it was because they were ghosts but their body temperature was always different from mine. They were always cold."I love it when my girl has some volume of flesh at her thighs and butt," he whispered to my ears, making me shudder. My nipples were already hardened at just the closeness of his lips to my ears."I need to be able to run my hands along those luscious curves and feel them crushing me as I grind myself into her," he muttered, placing small kisses from my ears down to my neck. I tipped my neck sideways giving him access. I don't know what was wrong with me but all I could process at the moment was t

~Dedicated to Akeelah~ lt has been a common thing for him during the past few days and I couldn't help but think that there was something he was hiding. But, what exactly was he hiding? I decided to do some research on their family. My little chat with Liam helped me in realizing so many things that were hidden about Drew and his brothers. Who would have ever thought that the sons of the prime minister of another country were indeed leaving in another country? I still don't get the ideology behind that motive. When it comes to the Walter brothers there are so many questions revolving around their identity. Sean, who is a famous entertainment star was the best friend of Drew! That was something highly unexpected. Not to mention that their mother was the number three famous chef in the world. What the heck is wrong with their family and being famous?! I am beginning to think that Drew and his brothers might have lost their memory about their real place of residence when they were in

"Is there something you need to tell us?“ Amanda attacked Drew immediately after he glided into the apartment. Mason and Calvin stood behind her in support. Drew was startled by how hard they were coming unto him. "Did I miss something?“ He asked. “Answer the damn question, Drew,“ Amanda demanded, her patience wearing thin. "Hey, hold up. I don't know what's got you guys in this mood and to answer your question, No. There is nothing I need to tell the three of you," he answered. "Told you he wasn't going to admit to the truth“ Calvin muttered. ‘What truth?“ Drew asked, confused. “What have you been doing at the police station?“ Amanda asked. “What? How did you even know about that?“ Drew asked instead. "Then it's true? You have been carrying out your investigation all these while without letting us, your brothers know about it?” Mason asked, disappointed. “Oh, for fucks sake. Where is it stated that I must let you guys in on what I am doing? The investigation isn't for my ben

The week before the New year went smoothly for Amanda. She was able to round up whatever work she had at the office and Leslie had no choice but to grant her a week's leave from work. Drew was right in saying that her boss didn't have a choice because that was what had happened. After confirming from the human resource department that she had indeed not used any of her granted leave from work, her boss had to yield to her request. And that was how she found herself in her room during the weekend packing her bags and preparing to board a flight to France the next day. Her parents had been delighted to hear that she was coming home to spend the new year celebrations with them. They had been filled with so much joy when she had relayed the news of her coming home to them. Her mom had promised to bake her favourite pie upon her arrival. Amanda looked forward to seeing her parents again with so much joy. She was filled with so much pent-up happiness and she couldn't help but keep smiling

“Shit," I muttered under my breath, avoiding eye contact with Leslie. I couldn't believe the kind of shitty luck I had. The very person whom I was trying to avoid, stood before me. There was no way for me to escape so I garnered what was left of my courage to face her. “Hey, Leslie. It's surprising to see you here this early," I said, laughing awkwardly. Leslie gave me a stern look. “Indeed,” She smirked.“Botox bitch," I muttered under my breath. “So, do you need my help with anything?" I asked her. Even though I was late, it was surprising to see her on this floor so early in the morning. There must have been a reason why she had decided to grace us with her unwilling presence. “Well, I needed to check on a particular person to see how far they had gone with the upcoming project. But, imagine my surprise when I found the office empty with neither the assistant nor Editor in sight,“ she said I sighed. “Sorry, I am late. But the reasons are beyond my power. There was nothing I

His hands held the sides of my head as he began thrusting into my mouth, loud grunts leaving his mouth. His head was tipped backwards in pleasure and his moans were driving me nuts with pleasure. There was a feeling of pride in hearing him express the effect I had on him through his moans. It was fuel for me to do more. I took more of him into my mouth as my hands moved down between my legs to pleasure myself.I could feel he was close to the edge and I rubbed myself quickly, hoping to come along with him. Within seconds, he stiffened and I could feel warm liquid slip into my mouth. My orgasm hit me immediately like a wave and my legs shook with pleasure. I took all of his cum, swallowing them and not letting any slip out of my mouth. “God, you are incredible,“ Drew muttered, watching me swallow his cum. I giggled in response, standing up from my kneeling position. “Come here," he commanded, drawing me close to him. He kissed me deeply and senselessly. “You are going to be the deat

I ran the water in my bathroom, hoping to take a quick shower before going to work. The coffee had helped in waking my sleepy bones but I still felt weak. If only I could spend the day indoors and not go to work, I thought. But that would never happen. Leslie would see it as an opportunity to chastise me and give me a query. That was something I wasn't interested in. The water heated up and I quickly jumped into the shower. I squeezed a reasonable amount of my shower gel into my hands and applied it to my body. I didn't bother with washing my hair because that would take more of my time which was the opposite of what I wanted to achieve. After applying the shower gel to my body, I ducked my head under the shower to rinse the soap off. The action prompted me to close my eyes to prevent the soapy water from entering them. I felt a hand wrap around my waist and I jumped in shock thinking an intruder had entered my house. I opened my eyes quickly to see who it was, forgetting that I st

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. My head felt like there were so many pins attached to it and I couldn't make clear what happened the previous night. I was tired and felt like I had been run over by a truck. Fuck, I am never letting Cassie take me clubbing again. I muttered "I support that idea," Drew chuckled, walking into my room with a cup of coffee. He was shirtless and I got a flashback of what happened the previous night. He had given me the best orgasm of my life and unfortunately I had slept off after it. My body was exhausted. Although the release had helped in calming down the stress hormones raging around me. Drew strolled towards me and handed the coffee to me. I smiled and gladly took it from his hands, muttering a thank you. I blew on the hot coffee and took a sip. God, it was marvelous. I moaned in satisfaction, enjoying how he took great precaution in making it just how I loved it. “God, this is amazing,“ I moaned. Drew chuckled. “Only you think that

Drew leaned forward slowly, eyeing my lips, seeking permission to ask for more. I didn't deny him. I let him indulge just as I was enjoying the indulgence myself. We connected again and continued kissing on my bed. I slid further into the bed drawing him along with me. The kiss altered from rough to slow and sensual. I had to give him credit for being able to bring me to my knees with a kiss. His hands continued to explore my body. They ran the length of my body, cupping my breast and I ached into him. He dragged his hands down my abdomen, then further down my leg before he slowly slid up my thighs leaving a trail of fire in their path. A pool of wetness gathered between my thighs as I waited in anticipation for his hands to get to their destination. I spread my legs further apart giving him the permission he needed to touch me deeply. I have craved this for so long and it was about to happen. I couldn't help but Iean into his touch. A soft moan escaped me as he sucked on my bottom

“Damn, your body is a pure work of art," Drew groaned, his hands roaming around my naked flesh. "I could touch it every day without getting satisfied,“ he added, his hands coming up to knead my breasts. Somewhere along the line, our position on the sofa had changed. I was sitting on his lap, my back resting on his hard chest. I could feel the heat radiating from his skin onto mine. I leaned back into him, tilting my head to the side so he could have full access to my body. I was already far gone and there was no way I was going to be listening to any rational thoughts coming from my brain. I was acting plainly on what my body wanted. I needed to be satisfied after being starved of this pleasure for months. I ground myself on him and he placed a hand on my waist to stop me. I made a sound of disappointment, not liking that he had cut my mission short. “Slow down, babe. We will get there. Let me appreciate your body first," he stated. "I dont need any of that. Just touch me," I dem

  • Ghost Chefs   Chapter 99

I walked into my apartment to meet it the same way I had left it. There was no sign of Drew and I wondered if he had forgotten his way to my place. That can't happen because this was somewhere he and his brothers had stayed for years. Maybe he went to get something I concluded. With that thought in mind I meandered to my bedroom to rid myself of the clothes I was wearing. Cassie had gone all out with my birthday attire. lt was a gift from her and she had pleaded for me to wear it to the party. It was a beautiful black gown that clung to my body and accentuated my curves. I had loved it immediately I saw it but there was no fun if I had just put it on without stressing Cassie a bit. I stumbled into my bedroom, flinging the shoes in the process. Damn, those heels had been killing me all through the night. When I had been dancing with it, I hadn't felt the pain but now that my legs were no longer in motion, it felt like there was no flow of blood to my legs. I quickly stripped myself

"What the fuck is going on?“ I muttered under my breath. There was no way it was possible that Cassie could see Drew. This was the very same person she didn't know was hovering over her head at my office, a few months back. How is it possible that she was able to see him? “Hey, Ama. Aren't you going to introduce him to me?" She asked, giggling.Drew laughed. “Guess, your friend is way more drunk than you," he whistled.“Shut up, Drew. I am trying to process this situation," I barked. He laughed. “What's there to process? Your friend is drunk which explains why she can see me. Or, is there any other explanation?“ He asked.I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, you are right," I agreed. “So, would you do me the honours or I should do it myself?“ He asked, grinning. “What are you talking about?“ I asked, confused. Drew rolled his eyes. "I forgot that you were drunk also," he muttered. I snorted “What? No way. I am not drunk, okay?“ “Yeah, you waving like a flag is an illusion," he replied, sarc

"Umm, hey Cas. I am going to head back home now. I am a bit tired and tipsy from all the alcohol," I told her, catching up to her at the bar. “What? Why? We are just getting started on your birthday party. You can't leave before everyone,“ she said, her eyes heavy with alcohol. “Seriously, Cas. We have been drinking and partying for more than five hours now. The alcohol in you is not making you think logically. I think it's time we call it a night," I told her, taking the drink from her and returning it to the bartender. “Come on, Ama That's my drink," she whined. “No, it isn't. You need to stop and go home now. We have work to do tomorrow and I wouldn't want both of us to be dead drunk before then. Not like we aren't drunk already,“ I said, muttering the last part to myself. “Fine," she grumbled, leaving the bar. “Let me get my purse and say goodbye to the others," she said.“Sure. That sounds fine to me. I need to also thank them for coming,” I said following after her to the V
