The ball is in about two days and Drax just returned from his honeymoon with Lora, he was happy and mated, and I was glad for him. We reached back home in no time, when I got to my quarters, my mother scolded me for having her baby out so late. I kissed her forehead and said, "I would never let anything happen to him." She had always worried about us since losing our father and I knew she wanted to protect his memory, we were all she had.

I was always weary of Erik and my intuition did not disappoint, he was bad news and I would eventually have to tell Aidan about him. I went to visit my mother and she told me to be very careful she felt something would happen soon but didn't know what, she could feel when something big was going to happen. I trusted her judgment and made sure to keep my distance from Erik going forward. I knew the boys were out of the castle and it was quiet all around, Amon was running things until morning and for some reason, everything felt off. Some decorations were already in place for tomorrow evening and I couldn't wait, I was hoping everything would go well tomorrow. I fell into a deep sleep but I felt like was floating and my grandmother appeared and said, "Beware, my child, I am not able to tempt fate or interfere but beware," and I jumped up sweating, it was morning and I knew Aidan would be back soon.

I washed up and went down for breakfast when I heard the boys and Aidan walk over to me kissing me, I smelled another woman on him but who was I to say anything? He went to take a bath and I headed out to start my day, I saw Erik in the distance before he linked me and said, "You will be mine one day," and I blocked him out. I walked down to the garden and saw Ty was talking to Warriors about tomorrow, he looked at me and looked away, I felt hurt but he rejected me. I was so torn and confused, I just wished that I could run to him and accept him but I couldn't, I didn't want to hurt Aidan unless he found his mate. I walked around the corner and Roman walked up to me touching my shoulder, I wondered if I was on my heat or something, what was wrong with these wolves wanting me in their bed?

Roman said, "After the coronation, I will make you my mistress, Aidan will have no use for you," and I slapped him in his face and said, "I am no whore." The next day, I spent the entire day at the lake away from everyone until it was time for the ball.
