Whose here for a return of the witch sisters?!
Nico POVI have been running in my wolf form for days. Omen’s feet are beginning to bleed, but I don’t dare let him stop running until I have placed enough distance between myself and the Dark Moon Pack. I cannot risk Deimos or anyone from the Moonstone Pack finding me. I killed the wrong son. I knew it the moment my teeth slammed down on Dainn’s neck. It will only be a matter of time until Deimos comes for me. There is no way he will let me live after everything I have done. I just need to hide out long enough to rebuild my forces. Then I can take back the Dark Moon Pack for myself. But I am not stupid enough to fight my son now that he is the Alpha. The prophecy stated that if I killed the wrong son, the other would end my life. I need to find someone to kill Deimos for me before he kills me.‘I need to rest,’ Omen pants heavily. ‘We have to go a little further,’ I tell him. ‘We are on the outskirts of Lycan City.’ ‘No one will look for us here,’ Omen says as he comes
Deimos POV I am in my nicest black suit, pacing outside of the bathroom door. The water in the sink has been running for what feels like forever. Elizabeth can’t possibly still be brushing her teeth. It has been at least ten minutes. I knock lightly on the bathroom door. “Princess,” I call out. “We are running behind.” “I am coming,” Elizabeth calls out, but she sounds breathless. “Just a few more minutes.” “We don’t have a few more minutes,” I try not to sound irritated. “We are already late.” “Okay,” Elizabeth says as she opens the bathroom door. Her face is flushed, and her lipstick is smeared. Her eyes are bloodshot, and her hair is falling out of the fancy updo. I must be making an odd face because Elizabeth quickly checks her reflection. She pulls her hair down and runs her fingers through the blonde tendrils, trying to calm the frizz. She wipes the lipstick from her lips and puts on a fresh coat. “Better?” She asks with a little bit of attitude. “Are yo
Willow POV I wasn’t prepared for how cold it was going to be. I have been catching glimpses of where the sisters are in my dreams for several weeks now. They move around a lot these days, and I am often a day or two late by the time I track them down. While war is brewing in the werewolf and lycan world, there is also a war coming to a head between the witch covens. The Sisters of the Lunar Star are determined to put all of the witches under one coven. They are strong and have the forces to do so, but without my birth mother and her sisters on their side, they haven’t made a move. That is why the sisters move so often. To keep the Sisters of the Lunar Star on their feet. To make sure they will not be found. The snow is deep and thick. It feels like I am trudging through layers of mud. Why they would ever decide to hide out here is beyond me. If I were to go into hiding, it would be on a beach somewhere with white sand and blue waters. Definitely not this hellscape they h
Willow POV I am not surprised that Petra knows why I am here. I suspect that the sisters knew before I even got here why I was coming. There isn’t much that the sisters don’t know about. But I am curious as to why they finally let me catch up to them. Celeste puts out her cigarette and slams the window shut. I can feel her anger and frustration filling the room. “I told you we shouldn’t have let her adopt that child.” Cordelia rolls her eyes. “We can’t interfere in everything.” “It was a fixed moment in time. We couldn’t change it,” Petra snaps at her sisters. My head darts back and forth between the sisters as they argue. I pinch the bridge of my nose in frustration as a headache builds behind my eyes. “Can we just talk about what it means for Liz to be a white wolf?” Celeste finally looks in my direction. “Where is Osiris?” “He stayed behind,” Petra buts in. “There is a threat that hasn’t been taken care of,” I fill in the blanks. “Alpha Nico,” Celeste says
Liz POV Once again, I am hugging the toilet. The nausea hit me as soon as my eyes opened. I managed to sneak out of the bed without waking Deimos. I remembered to lock the door this time so he doesn’t come in to check on me. I am curled up on the bathroom floor, waiting for the wave of nausea to pass. I have stripped off my clothes, letting the tiles of the floor cool me down. ‘What is going on?’ I ask Majesty. ‘We need a doctor,’ Majesty groans in my head. The constant vomiting is beginning to affect her as well. ‘Do you want to go for a run?’ I ask her, hoping it will perk her up. ‘Not today,’ Majesty replies. ‘I don’t feel well.’ Another wave of nausea rushes through my body. I quickly pick myself off the ground and purge what is left in my stomach. “Princess,” Deimos calls through the door. “Are you okay?” “I am fine,” I groan between heaves. “You don’t sound fine,” Deimos shouts as he tries to open the door. The door handle twists, and I try to finish p
Deimos POV The drive to the hospital is awkward. Elizabeth is in the front seat, gripping the hem of her shirt and twisting it in her hands. Tears are dripping down her cheeks but she wipes them away before she thinks anyone can see. Stella is in the back seat, and she won’t shut up. Her mouth has not stopped running since we left the pack house. I don’t know if she thinks she is alleviating the tension or if she just doesn’t know how to read the room, but she has covered every topic under the sun twice. I am just trying to keep it together. I want to tell Stella to shut the fuck up, but I also don’t want to upset Elizabeth. She is clearly as on edge about the possible pregnancy as I am. But I don’t know what she has to worry about. She has the perfect parents to use as an example for raising a kid. All I have is Nico, and I definitely don’t want to end up like my father. I don’t want to raise my children the way my father raised us. I had actually planned on never havi
Willow POV I stand outside of the Royal Lycan mansion. I haven’t been here in years. My mother makes a point to come to see me at the Moonstone Pack, just so I don’t have to relive the horrors that I suffered here under the rule of my uncle. But now that his son has taken the throne, I am told things are different. Faris Jr was raised by his mother and mine. An unlikely pair, but despite their differences, Faris Jr turned out to be nothing like his father. Lycan City is beginning to prosper again, and all of the underground dealings that my uncle made have stopped. Lycan City is clean and respectable once again. I finally gather the nerve to knock on the door, and it swings open wide. My mother is standing on the other side with tears in her eyes. She has always been a crier. She doesn’t look any different than the last time I saw her. She hasn’t aged a bit. Her hair is still black, and her eyes are still bright green. I guess there are some perks to being a lycan-wit
Liz POV I haven’t said a word to Stella or Deimos since we left the hospital. I am sitting in our bedroom holding the ultrasound pictures in my hands, staring down at the little bean shape that is supposedly my baby. I don’t think the reality of the situation has sunk in. There is a person growing inside my body. The smell of Applewood fills my senses, and the door of the bedroom opens slowly. I know it is Deimos, and I don’t bother to look up. He drops a bag of medication beside me on the bed and stands in front of me awkwardly. He is waiting for me to say something, but I don’t know what I am supposed to say. I am pregnant, and it is clear Deimos doesn’t want a child. He didn’t say a word during the ultrasound or on the way home. He walked me up to our room and then left to get my medication prescribed by the doctor. I dig through the bag to make sure everything is there. I pull out the antinausea medication and struggle to open the bottle. Deimos takes it from me and
