Chapter 36 - Critical

"Doctor, can we please see them?" Adrian asked in a pleading tone.

It was midnight so Kate went home though she wanted to say but Adrian told her to go back.

"Okay but only for a few minutes." The doctor said and went away.

They entered the OT and the scene in front of them broke them more. Jennifer and Asher were in a separate bed, side by side but Jennifer's condition looked worse than Asher's.

Her head, neck, one hand, and one leg were wrapped in bandages. Her face looked so pale that no one would believe she was a beautiful young girl.

Asher's head also was wrapped in a bandage and also his one hand.

"Jennifer." Adrian whispered looking at her broken self.

He went near her and broke down into tears once again.

"I am sorry. I couldn't be a good brother to you. Please wake up, I swear I will be the best brother in the world. Please..." He said, crying more and tapping her cheeks.

"Adrian, be strong. I know nothing will happen to her. Have faith in God." Sophie said while she was sil
