Jason's POV
She walked out of her car with a joyful smile on her face and started to walk towards me. I returned the smile and when she came closer towards me intending to kiss me, I quickly turned my head to the side and kissed her on the cheek instead. My last conversation with Chase was still ringing in my head and I can't seem to block his words out of my head and not look distracted in front of her or else she might noticed what's wrong. I've realized that these last few days that I've been with her, my plans are not working in a way that I wanted it to. It's completely frustrating because whenever she's with me, I completely forgot everything that I was supposed to do and instantly indulged myself in having a good time with me.
What the hell is wrong with me?!
Jason's POV"Miss Falcon, can I get the file with the new update from the HR department?""Yes sir."She replied back almost monotonously."Right, thank you."I removed my finger pressing on the button on the intercom and shifted my attention back on the documents I was currently reviewing on my computer. This was yet, another typical morning with the same routine to start. I was never bored with my life since it's always revolved around work and it's the only thing I like to occupy my time with. This business was my dream and I've worked hard to get to where I am now, and of course, without Chase being part of everything none of this would be possible. When he proposed to me about thi
Shay's POVI walked into the living room and stopped in my tracks when I saw dad sitting on the armchair already, reading a magazine. His back was facing me and he hasn't noticed me yet and my eyes shifted back to the magazine in his hand and I noticed that it wasTHEmagazine with my pictures on it. He was definitely reading that gossip article about me and Jason and I could already feel another lecture coming up. I sat down on the long couch in front of him and cleared my throat and he glanced up at me through his glasses. He threw the magazine on top of the glass coffee table and then tossed his glasses on top before leaning back."This type of news will do nothing but bring trouble to our family all the time, this is unacceptable. Not even five days have passed for that news about your
Shay's POVThe next day, I decided to go shopping for some new work clothes with Sylvia. I only have three more days left till I start work next week Monday and the thought of it always ruin my mood all the time. So, shopping with Sylvia today was my idea to uplift my mood for today and it was also my excuse to leave the house."Remind me again why we're doing this?" Sylvia asked with a bored tone."I need new outfits for work next week." She sighed and stared at the shop that we walked past.We decided to go straight to the mall and since Sylvia knows the best outfit that one can wear to work, I let her choose the clothes for me. But, we still haven't bought anything except a cute pair of heels tha
Jason's POV"What are you doing here?" She smiled without replying and then sat down and crossed her legs."I was in town so I thought I'll pop by and see you."I clenched my jaw, a common habit that I tend to do when I feel annoyed, but Aria's unexpected arrival today was making me feel more than that. We had broken up 5 months ago and we have no business together anymore and plus, I think I had removed her contact details from my phone a long time ago yet I still can't figure out the real reason she's here. That's just how she is, always unpredictable. She eyed the watch sitting in front of me and quickly grabbed it before I had the chance to take it and keep it safely under my desk. She stared at the watch with interest, like a cat slowly observing th
Shay's POVAfter showering, I strolled to my walk-in closet to put some clothes on and then later watch a movie before going to bed. My phone suddenly vibrates from a message and I quickly checked it out and I smiled to myself when I saw that it was a goodnight text from Jason. I quickly texted him back and then slipped my phone in my robe pocket and that's when I saw my safe sitting on the other side of the room. The thought about the files I kept inside suddenly popped into my mind and I quickly went towards the safe and unlocked it before taking the files and the USB drive out. I placed it on top of the safe and then quickly changed into more comfortable clothes before grabbing the files again and sat on top of my bed and spread out each file in front of me. I grabbed my laptop from on top of my nightstand and opened it and inserted the drive in. I'll go throug
Shay's POVThe next morning, I started to get ready to meet up with Aria Langford in town. She had texted me earlier this morning the place where we would meet, it was a popular café that I know of that I usually go to with some of my friends. Even when she's requesting to meet at somewhere in public and she's going to tell me some things about Jason, I still have this weird feeling that I got from last night after our phone call. It's so weird and very unsettling but Jason is the only man in my life that I've ever been in love with, so if there are some things about him that I should be aware of even when he can't tell me, I guess learning about a few things from his ex-girlfriend won't hurt at all. Though it's pretty annoying.I wore a dark red silky top with thin spagh
Shay's POVI woke up in the morning by the sound of rain falling heavily outside. With the weather like this, I was feeling uncertain to meet with Jason's mom today but when I checked my phone, she said to still come over because she wanted to see me before she leaves town this evening. I did my usual morning routine and then got dressed before going downstairs for breakfast. I was informed by one of the maids after I sat at the table that my parents had already ate breakfast and they left to attend a business meeting together. I felt happy after knowing that, at least now I can have my breakfast in peace. After having my breakfast, I got into my car and drove to town. The rain was now drizzling lightly and I pulled up in front of a flower shop and quickly hurried inside and bou
Jason's POVI couldn't understand why she's acting that way and when she walked away I knew something was wrong and since she was with my mom earlier, something must've happened. I jogged towards the lift and furiously pressed the button on the side. When the doors finally opened a minute later, I went in and pressed the floor button to my penthouse. Did she argue about something with mom? No, I highly doubt that. Mom loves her so she can't argue about anything with her. Then what happened? The doors opened and I jogged into the living room and looked around for her."Mom?" I loudly called out. She suddenly appeared with a vase of white roses and smiled at me before placing the vase on top of the coffee table in t
~3 months later ~Shanelle POVLife has a funny way of taking unexpected turns. As I sit here, reflecting on the whirlwind of events that have unfolded in my life, it's hard to believe how much has changed in such a short span of time. Traveling, modeling, and chasing my dreams have taken on a whole new meaning. Vincent, with his enigmatic presence, crashed into my world like a silent storm, shaking up everything I thought I knew. And truth be told, I'm grateful for that unexpected collision. Before Vincent entered the picture, my life revolved around two things: traveling and my modeling career. I was passionate about both, but I had always approached them with a certain level of detachment, keeping myself at arm's length from truly embracing the experiences that lay before me. I was lost in a robotic existence, constantly pushing myself beyond my limits to maintain an illusion of perfection, covering up the cracks within me, all for the sake of fame and the spotlight. But Vincent ch
Shanelle POVAs I settled into my seat on the plane, ready for the journey back home to San Francisco, I couldn't shake off the heavy burden that had settled upon my heart. The events of the past day haunted me, casting a dark shadow over my thoughts. Beside me, Beatrice and Kayleen sensed the change in my demeanor. Their concerned glances spoke volumes, but I couldn't find the strength to share the truth with them just yet. When I returned from my date with Vincent, my heart shattered and tears stained my cheeks. Beatrice and Kayleen did their best to offer comfort, but their words seemed distant, unable to penetrate the depths of my despair. I knew I had to face the consequences of my choices alone, and the pain of that realization only compounded my sorrow.
Shanelle POVAs I slowly blinked my eyes open, the morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the room. The warmth of the sun embraced us, enveloping Vincent and me in its gentle caress. Vincent lay beside me, still sound asleep, his features relaxed and tranquil. His dark hair was tousled, his chiseled jawline softened by the innocence of slumber. I couldn't help but marvel at the sight before me. He was simply breathtaking, and at that moment, my heart swelled with an overwhelming affection for him.Memories of last night flooded my mind, the intoxicating magic we shared. The passion and tenderness that flowed between us were beyond words. Each movement, every touch, etched in my memory like an intimate dance that only we knew. I replayed every detail, savoring the sensation that st
Shanelle POVAs the candlelight flickered on the table, casting dancing shadows across the room, Vincent and I began to savor our dinner. The tantalizing aromas filled the air, creating an ambiance that complemented our growing connection. As we savored each bite, the conversation naturally drifted towards my modeling career, sparked by Vincent's genuine curiosity."So tell me," Vincent began, his eyes filled with intrigue, "how long have you been modeling?"A smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I reminisced about my journey."It's been three years now," I replied. "Ever since I stepped foot onto the runway for the first time, I knew I had found my passion. Modeling allows me to express
Shanelle POVI stood in front of the walk-in closet, the scent of Chanel, Dior, and Saint Laurent lingering in the air. Sunlight streamed through the open windows, casting a warm glow on the colorful array of clothing before me. Tonight is my date with Vincent, and I wanted to look my absolute best. However, as I scanned the rows of clothes, doubt crept into my mind. What the hell should I wear?Beatrice lay sprawled on the bed, engrossed in a fashion magazine. Her big blue eyes glanced up, catching my reflection in the mirror."Hey, Bea," I called out, hoping she could provide some much-needed guidance."Any thoughts on wh
Shanelle POVAs I sat behind the wheel of my car, driving down the bustling city streets, my mind was consumed by thoughts of Vincent. It had been two long days since we had last seen each other, those fleeting moments when he and Dan dropped us off at our hotel, leaving without much of a goodbye. Yet, despite the brevity of our encounter, I couldn't shake him from my thoughts.Did he think of me too? Was he caught in a whirlwind of memories and emotions just as I was? These questions tumbled through my mind, blending with the cacophony of car horns and the distant hum of city life. The uncertainty gnawed at me, twisting my heart in knots. I longed for answers, for a connection that I hoped went beyond a mere chance encounter. My destination, the prestig
Shanelle POVI stepped into the safe house, the familiar scent of home welcoming me. The adrenaline from the day's events was finally subsiding as I closed the door behind me. We had made it back safely, and a sense of relief washed over me. My muscles ached from the physical exertion and tension, and I couldn't wait to let go of the weight that had been pressing on me.After a quick glance around the dimly lit living room, I made my way towards the bedroom. The hot water of the shower embraced me, washing away the grime and leaving me refreshed. I changed into fresh clothes, relishing the feeling of comfort they brought. With a deep breath, I stepped outside into the night air, making my way toward the pool. The sky stretched above me, a canvas of stars
Shanelle POVI sat on my bed the next morning, clutching my phone tightly in my hands. The screen displayed a seemingly never-ending stream of notifications, each one more anxiety-inducing than the last. My heart raced as I watched my video from the frat party trend across social media platforms. It was as if people couldn't get enough of it, sharing it from one corner of the internet to another. And with each share, a flood of comments and feedback poured in, all directed at me.I had worked so hard to maintain my "perfect" reputation. People saw me as a walking embodiment of flawlessness, and I had meticulously crafted that image. But now, this video threatened to expose the cracks in my carefully constructed facade. It made me feel vulnerable and exposed to the judgment of others, and it terrified me.
Shanelle POVAs the anticipation built up inside me, I glanced at the clock on my bedroom wall. It was already 9:00 p.m., and I hurriedly surveyed myself in the mirror, making sure every detail of my outfit was just right.I had opted for a sleek black dress that hugged my curves in all the right places. Its off-the-shoulder design added a touch of sophistication, while the knee-length skirt showcased a playful edge. I paired it with strappy heels that elongated my legs and completed the look with a statement necklace and a bold red lip. I couldn't help but feel confident in this ensemble.Beatrice and Kayleen burst into my room with equally limited excitement for tonight's mission or whatever they wanted to call it. They looked stunning in their own dis
