I burst into the bathroom door of the hotel and stood in front of the mirror, breathing wildly like I had just run a marathon. The tears were flowing freely now. I felt like I was stabbed in the heart. I hadn't ever been this hurt because of a guy.

I had only been in two bad relationships. One ended when I found out he was cheating on me, while the second one excommunicated me after he slept with me. But none of them hurt me the way this had.

He had a whole family on the side and...

It felt like there were bricks on my chest. I couldn't breathe.

I felt two soft hands wrap around my shoulders. My head was down but I couldn't find the energy to bring it up to see who it was.
