"Hey baby boy" I said laughing.

"Hi mommy. I missed you"  his little voice chirped up. He had been at Lakisha's house for the weekend till we got back. Aminu placed maximum security there to avoid people like Jasmine coming around there. I had requested that because I knew how crazy she could be.

"So Daddy doesn't deserve a hug huh?" Aminu said and I looked at him and laughed. He was pouting like a little kid.

"No daddy deserves a hug" Nasir said and left me, going to hug his daddy. I didn't realize how much I missed the little bundle of joy until now. It was easy to forget who birthed the kid and it felt like I was the one who gave birth to him. The connection I felt to the kid was immense

"How was aunty kiki's house. Did you have fun?"
