The blushes on her face was clearly visible. Warren knew that leaving Olivia and going after the dark force that had been going around and exterminating people like vermin, could mean the end of his life. But he was also aware that if he did nothing, there was a possibility that, that force may arrive one day and claim Olivia's life. That was something Warren couldn't afford.
"Olivia, before I go there is something I wanted to tell you. Please don't hold it against me for keeping this from you," Warren said. He scraped all his courage together before he told her.
"I recently found out that I'm the son of Johnathan Parker, patriarch of the Parker family and the richest person on the Cape Continent."
A minute passed, but Olivia didn't respond. Warren expected her to be shocked at the very least, but there wasn't a change in her expression at all. It wasn't as if Warren just told her a secret that he kept to himself for a long time.
"An
Warren felt at ease after he finally got his revenge. James Parker as well as his two sons would get what they deserved for treating his mother like a doormat. She was seen as even worse than dogshit in their eyes. Just because they had status and she came from a humble background, they looked down on her. Warren felt bad that he killed James like that without getting any intel from him. If James Parker could have at least revealed the location of Adam Parker, then Warren would have gained something from him. But he was still at square one. There was no one around to ask any questions. The attack that James used almost destroyed the mansion, but Warren inadvertently saves it. It wasn't his intention, but he thought he could use the opportunity to see if he found any valuable clues that may lead to the location of Johnathan and his family. Warren scoured the mansion from top to bottom. He found a lot of valuables that meant absolutely nothing to him. He
Gary watched as Warren disappeared into the distance. Even though he was running, it took Warren less than ten minutes to reach his house. Because traffic was clear during that time of the day and everyone was fleeing the city. When Warren saw his house in the distance, he could make out Cassidy familiar figure sitting on the porch. Warren was relieved to see that she was till alright. He slowed his pace a little, but then he suddenly started to feel restless. He felt as if a predator was stalking him. Warren increased his pace and almost teleported next to Cassidy, in time to catch a knife that was thrown towards her. "Quite the reflexes you have there," was the words that came from behind a car quite a distance away. Warren knew that the man had to be skilled if he could through a knife from such a distance away and still retain the power and accuracy. "It's not impressive at all. But I must say, just not very gentleman like to throw such dangerous th
Warren respected Samson's resolve, but he knew he couldn't allow him to live. If Warren wasn't around, then he would've destroyed the entire town. So Warren made up his mind and stabbed the man right through his heart. It was an instant death for him. After that, Warren took his body and buried it quite a distance away from his house. He later returned to wake up Cassidy who fell unconscious earlier. Warren waited for a bit as he adored Cassidy's beauty up close. Never in his life did he think that his primary school's crush would be so good to him that she would even go as far as risk her life to protect his house. Cassidy opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Warren's smiling face. But then she remembered what happened earlier. Warren literally disarmed a man right in front her and there was blood spraying everywhere. Even the speed at which everything happened seemed unreal, so she wasn't sure if she hallucinated the whole incident or if it really
Warren could see smoke rising in the distance. It seemed like a building was under attack. For such a loud explosion, Warren expected to see a great fire burning somewhere. He thought that maybe it was a hoax or someone just burning down buildings since there wasn't any authorities around. He still took it upon himself to check out the scene. Gary and Cassidy were too afraid to make a move. As soon as Warren left the room, they moved closer to each other and Gary embraced Cassidy. The fear of getting killed removed the animosity Cassidy felt toward Gary at that moment. Although he was pissing himself, Gary felt good to hug his wife again. It had been far too long. It took Warren two minutes to reach the place where the fire was burning. He was just in time to see three men using Reiteki to set fire to the surrounding buildings. By his judgment, Warren could see that the men were only A-Class cultivators. They were not worth his time, but he couldn't well look a
The two men didn't need a second invitation. They upped and left immediately to retrieve the body of their dead master. Warren, on the other hand, had a lot to ponder about. It seemed like Adam Parker was the Dark Wizard all along. Warren couldn't accurately judge the strength that Adam might have, since he never met him, but he knew that he had to be at least several levels above Master Kalama to even think of controlling him. After killing his grandfather, Warren thought that the void he had in his heart would be filled, but he didn't feel any satisfaction at all. He kept yearning for something, but he wasn't exactly sure what it was. Warren was very young when he lost his mother and he made peace with the fact that Uncle Geoffrey and Aunt Joanne raised him as their own child, but he always had questions. Why didn't his father ever care about him? Was he even alive? Warren sometimes wondered as a child if his father had enough food to eat. Even
Warren touched down later that night in Flemond. He didn't want any hassles, so he made the decision to rent a room for the night from one of the restaurants in the city. Warren didn't mind where he stayed that night, he only wanted a place to rest his head. That's why he didn't actually care to read reviews on the place that he booked. The hotel wasn't too shabby and it was located very near the airport. The hotel seemed to be built recently, because the last time Warren visited, there was no such place. Location wise, it was a perfect bet. Signing in wasn't a problem at all. The receptionist was friendly and for a price of 1000 dollars per night, with breakfast included, Warren thought that he actually scored quite big. Warren slept through the night and woke up feeling refreshed the following morning. He had a long day ahead of him with moving into his villa and acquiring some businesses. But when he stepped out of the hotel, it looked like he was in a total
Warren looked at her as if she lost her mind. Did she really expect him to believe that the devil told her to trap and kill him. But there wasn't any hint that she was lying. "Mr Cole, please just let me kill you. Your death would bring peace to the rest of the Cape Continent. For as long as you live, I'm afraid we would never really be free. Please," the woman begged. Hearing her plead like that made Warren understand her a bit better. She was brainwashed into believing nonsense like that. Why else would she spout something so ridiculous? "I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm not going anywhere. I won't die that easily, especially when it looks like someone planned something so elaborate to get rid of me," Warren said. He then took the woman back to the hotel. The woman looked as if she lost all hope. She knew that they blew their only chance of ever detaining Warren. They were given an ultimatum that if they failed, they had to pay with their lives. Not
"I don't care anymore. You can kill me if you want, but I still won't say anything," the man declared. He was adamant not to sell out one of his comrades. What he didn't know was that Warren was only getting started. The amount of punishment that he was about to receive would make any grown man cry. Warren retracted his sword, but then he used an ice crystal attack on the same spot where he burned the man earlier. The cells on the side of his face started to die of frostbite. Having gone from extreme heat to icy coldness, it was already a done deal that he would never be able to regenerate those dead cells by any means. Warren then sat back and waited for the man to writhe in pain. Then he repeated the process again. Extreme heat with the holy flame on his thigh, followed by the ice crystals. The man was already weak from losing too much blood, but Warren made sure to stop the bleeding with a fire attack. That was too much for the man and he fell unconscio
Three days later, Warren was discharged from the hospital. He had nowhere to go and since he lost basically everything he owned, he made his way to the Parker mansion that was located on the outskirts of Richmond. He said he didn't want anything to do with that family anymore, but that was the only safe haven he could find in that instance.Since regaining his memories of what transpired back in Flemond, Warren felt that he had no reason to keep on living. He lost the only reason, in Olivia, to keep on living, and that after he promised not to let her go. He was horrible at keeping promises and that was what killed Warren. As soon as he arrived in front of the villa, Bruce, the butler, already anticipated his arrival. Warren recalled that he asked him to keep an eye over the affairs of Johnathan Parker since he was no longer around, but he didn't expect that Bruce would be so devoted in his tasks."Master Cole. I have awaited your return. Welco
Mark and his two bodyguards, who were quite a distance away, heared his cry all too clearly. When they turned to look in the direction from which they escaped, they could see smoke rising into the air. Although they were almost five kilometers away, they could clearly see the blue fire accompanying the smoke."What is that?" he asked hid bodyguards. The female bodyguard looked at him and responded: "That is the end!"She then sat on a log that nearby. Mark urged his male bodyguard to hurry up so that the two of them could get away. The two of them didn't hesitate and ran as quickly as their legs could carry them. The female bodyguard admired the scene that she saw. That was like something out of a fairytale. Though it was dark all around her, the blue fire contrasted the dark sky in a majestic way."So this is how it ends. I guess there is no escaping your destiny. You're truly the reincarnation of King Cole," she said.
Yvonne had to stand by and hear how her husband get ridiculed like that. She thought she married a stand-up guy, someone who didn't only look good and were rich, but also a man with morals. He wasn't Warren, but he was the next big thing in line.Mark, on the other hand, was boiling with rage. He secretly dialed a number on his phone and within a few minutes his two most loyal subordinates appeared. It was the woman who Warren and Olivia met and another man. Each one of them were cultivators of an extraordinary rank."So you decided to call for backup? I guess you must really be an embarrassment of a man if you can't even fight your own battles. You are not only weak, but you can only assert your dominance on helpless women. I really pity you," Warren said. Mark didn't care anymore. He wanted all of them dead, and that's what he ordered his henchmen to do. Before they could move an inch, Warren appeared behind the man, sword in his hand and the blade on the
"I watched them go out in flames. I heard their screams for help. My father's body was on fire, but he only worried about one thing. He begged Mark to let me go. I couldn't understand why he would want that while he was literally in the depths of hell," Olivia explained. The more Warren heard, the more his anger was fueled. What on earth gave Mark the right to do something to Olivia's family like that? What has he ever done to him? "You know, as they were busy losing their lives in the most horrid way possible, Mark just stood there and laughed. How could someone be so cruel as to do something like that?" "He finally focused his attention on me and said that this was his retribution. He said that he was looking for me for a while. I couldn't understand the meaning in his words, but later he explained everything to me. He said that he fell in love with a woman. She was the best thing to ever happen to him and that he never loved anyone more than that." "The wo
Warren didn't waste any time to linger around. He had to go after Olivia. She was beyond pissed at him. He knew that he messed up big time. She seemed to be spooked by something else before she got to find out about his fling with Jamie. It's not as if he was cheating. Warren felt that he was clearly within his rights to move on, since Olivia was presumed dead by that point."Are you really going to leave now, Warren?" Jamie asked. She looked as if she was holding on to the final thread of hope. She knew that if Warren decided to leave, that thread would snap and it would sent her spiraling downwards, out of control."I'm sorry you had to find out this way, Jamie. It was never my intention to hurt you. It's just that, I can't afford to lose Olivia. I lost her to death once, and now that I have her back, I can't do it again," Warren explained. Jamie didn't understand what Warren was talking about. How could he have lost her to death if she was clearly
"Hey Olivia. What's wrong?" Warren asked worried. Olivia still stood there as if she was frozen. She couldn't move a muscle."I've had enough of this debacle. Miss Francis, if you don't have anything to say to me, I best start going," Mark said. He was about to leave when Jamie arrived. She was so happy to see Warren and her boss finally met each other."Warren, I'm so glad you can make it here today. Now you can finally meet my boss," she said. Warren looked at Mark from head to toe. Was this the man that he was supposed to meet? Who would've known the world was such a small place."Why would I want to meet this idiot?" Mark asked.Warren didn't pay any mind to either of them. He was just surprised that Mark turned out to be thee Mr Clifford. Warren wasn't so sure about going into business with them anymore."Olivia, let me get you home." Warren offered. She nodded. Warren pulled her by the hand and brought her to his car. Yvonne
"Do you have any idea where I can get ahold of this boss of yours? It has been too long now. I think it's finally time we meet," Warren said.Jamie nodded. She thought that the two of them would never get to meet since they kept postponing it. It wasn't a good thing especially since they were entering in a deal that would put their company on the map and for that to happen, they needed the assistance of such a major company as Galaxy Tech Lane."I will arrange that he comes to the office today or tomorrow. Please make sure that you are present for that. I will come along since I am was partially the reason why we sealed the deal," Jamie teased him as she winked playfully. Warren couldn't disagree with that since that was really the case. If she wasn't such a beautiful secretary, it would've taken a lot more to change Warren's mind to get involved with such a small company."After that, the two of us can maybe go for a drink if you like," Jamie flirted. Warren wa
Christina was steadfast in her mission not to let Warren know what really happened. Warren was adamant, but she didn't give anything up. It took Olivia to finally convince him to let it go. Warren and Olivia left Christina so that she could rest further. He was still unsatisfied with how things ended, but he decided to let it go for the moment. He didn't want to add anymore to her stress. The two of them drove in silence back home. Once he made it back, he summoned Neo to meet him in his study. He told Neo the jest of things so that he roughly had an idea of what was going on."So your mission is to find out who the culprit behind all of this is. I have been through enough already. I can't let anything happen to Christina. She isn't out of danger yet. And as long as there are people gunning for her life, I can't rest in peace. Just make sure Olivia doesn't find out about any of this," Warren said. Neo nodded. This was the first big task Warren gave to him and he knew t
"How did it go?" Olivia asked once Warren returned home. She was always bad with hiding her facial expressions, so the worries was written all over her face."I gave them my number and address so that they may contact me in case there are any developments. For now, let's just hope she makes it," Warren said. Neither one of them could get something into their stomach that night. They were sick with worry. The phone, that Warren has been staring at for most of the day, suddenly started to ring. He looked at the caller ID and realized that it was an unknown number, but it was from a landline. Warren didn't waste any time and answered immediately."Mr Cole. You left your number with us earlier in case something happened. There is good news, the young missus just woke up and she's alright. I know it's too soon to say, but she hasn't suffered any long term damage." the doctor explained. The sigh of relief Warren let out, was audible through the phone
