Chapter 2: The Earring on the Bed

Author: Sonia
Chloe’s POV

Trevor grabbed Rachel by the arm and tossed her onto the sofa. "Hey, stop messing around."

Messing around? What kind of joke involved another woman wearing my clothes and hooking her leg around my boyfriend?

“Trevor, what’s the meaning of this!?”

“Baby, she’s the childhood friend I told you about, Rachel Rain. She just arrived from Riverdale a few days ago.”

Rachel finally stood up, turning to me with a smile.

“Don’t be mad. I’m just the kind of person who loves joking around—it makes life more fun. I’m not interested in him at all, and he doesn’t see me as a woman. We’re just buddies.”

With that, Rachel walked over to me, her smile widening.

“I’ve heard so much about Trevor’s stunning girlfriend, and wow, the rumors don’t lie.”

It hit me then—Trevor had mentioned her before. But why would she suddenly come to our home, especially considering how far Riverdale was from where we live?

Trevor kissed my forehead casually. "I’m going to get dressed, baby."

Even though his tone was light, my expression must’ve been dark because he immediately tried to explain.

"Rachel came all the way from Riverdale, so I invited a few friends over for a small party. She’s just crashing here for a couple of days before heading back."

That was when I noticed the other people in the room, some were even asleep on the floor.

Fine, maybe I was overthinking things.

With so many people here, they couldn’t have done anything inappropriate. It was probably just an innocent gathering of friends.

Trevor ordered some pizza, offering the hungover “party animals” a quick meal.

After his friends left, we spent some time tidying up the house together.

Before I knew it, evening had arrived.

Even though having another person in the house made me uncomfortable, I couldn’t deny how much I missed Trevor. I slipped into a sexy lace nightgown and stretched out on the bed. Trevor had always loved this nightgown.

He ran his hands over my smooth skin, his lips pressing kisses along my body. His head nestled against my chest as he kissed me hungrily, his breath warm and heavy against my skin.

“Baby, you smell so good. I love how submissive you look in bed. It drives me crazy,” he murmured.

But just then, my fingers brushed against an earring. It wasn’t mine, but it looked awfully familiar.

At that moment, Trevor’s mouth was between my legs, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin on my inner thigh. A sudden jolt of pleasure shot through my body, making my mind swirl.

I should have been lost in the heat of the moment, fully immersed in the foreplay.

But my thoughts kept circling back to the earring.

Whose was it?

Suddenly, Rachel’s face flashed in my mind.

It was hers—I had seen her wearing it just this morning.

Could she have been on this bed too?

At that point, Trevor pushed my underwear aside, his tongue teasing the most sensitive parts of my vagina.

“Ahhh…” I couldn’t stop the moan that escaped my lips.

He held my waist tightly, his hot breath brushing against my ear, sending waves of heat coursing through me. His large hands wandered over my breasts, gently kneading and teasing, his lips sucking at my nipples until they stood taut under his touch.

My body felt like it was on fire as his hands slid down my waist, parting my thighs.

His eyes burned with desire as he looked at me. “Baby, I need you so badly.”

Just as he was about to take the next step, an image flashed in my mind—Trevor and Rachel, tangled together on this very bed, sweating and moaning, possibly in even filthier positions than what we were doing now.

The thought was like ice water dousing my heated body.

I pushed Trevor away, holding the earring up in front of him.

“Why is Rachel’s earring on our bed?” I asked, knowing I’d ruined the mood, but I couldn’t move past this.

Without answers, I couldn’t enjoy what came next.

Trevor didn’t seem fazed at all by my question.

“Forget about it, baby.” He reached for me again, his fingers brushing my most sensitive spot, trying to coax me back into the moment.

I shoved him away harder this time. “Why won’t you answer me?”

He still looked unbothered, completely ignoring my question.

I sat up, my voice sharp with accusation. “Why is Rachel’s earring on our bed?”

Gripping the earring tightly, I flung it at him, the sharp smack of metal hitting his face echoing in the silence of the room.

That seemed to get his attention.

Realizing I was truly angry, Trevor grabbed my hand and finally, for the first time, looked serious.

“Okay, let me explain,” he said, his tone softening as he tried to calm me down.

"Chloe, Rachel has always been scatterbrained. She probably left her earring here after drinking too much and stumbling into the wrong room last night…"

His words cut through me like a dull blade. My chest tightened as tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill.

"That’s your explanation? Really?" My voice cracked as I tried to keep my composure. "I came back early to surprise you. And what did I walk into? I saw her… touching you like that while you were half-naked. Now, on our bed… you two…"

My voice faltered, trembling until it faded into silent sobs. My throat closed up, and I couldn’t bring myself to say anything more.

Trevor’s expression softened as he reached for me, his eyes filled with what looked like sincerity.

"Chloe…" He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close.

"Rachel is just a friend. I’ve always seen her as one of the guys. I swear, nothing has ever happened between us," he said, his hand brushing gently against my face. "She’ll be gone in a few days, and you’re the only one I love. I love you, only you. Please don’t misunderstand me anymore, okay?"

Had I gotten it all wrong? Had I misjudged the man who loved me so deeply?

Trevor pulled me tighter into his arms, kissing my forehead with tenderness. "Only you can make me feel this way, Chloe. Only you stir my desire. Your skin, your body, your curves—they’re mine, and mine alone. I love you so much."

Before I could resist, he pressed me against his broad chest. I wanted to push him away, to stay angry, but his kisses were too fervent, too intoxicating. His lips ignited a fire I couldn’t extinguish, and before I realized it, I was melting into his touch, his embrace.

I let myself sink into the warmth of his affection, telling myself over and over again that he had always loved me this way, only me. That his obsession, his desire, was mine and mine alone.

And for a moment, I ignored the sharp sting of the earring that had pierced through my trust. I allowed myself to be swept away by the comforting lie, drowning in the whirlpool of self-deception I had spun, endlessly convincing myself that he had always loved me this way—utterly obsessed and hopelessly addicted to me alone.

Chloe’s POV“What exactly are you all talking about?” I smiled as I approached my colleagues, addressing them directly. “Oh, nothing, Chloe,” one of them replied hastily. As soon as they saw me, the group quickly dispersed, avoiding any further conversation. It was odd, but I didn’t press them for answers. I had no idea what was going on, but gossip was never my thing anyway. Back in my office, I dove into a pile of work. The case files Amy had organized were a complete mess, but knowing the pressure she faced at home, I didn’t want to give her a hard time. Instead, I took it upon myself to sort everything out, including preparing the files for Roman’s case. After hours of work, I finally had a moment to step away and use the restroom. “We’ll hide over here,” a hushed voice said. I caught the sound of several footsteps as I entered the restroom but didn’t pay much attention. Once I finished, I pushed open the door to leave. Without warning, a bucket of freezing cold

Chloe’s POV“You have to understand me. Everything I’m doing right now is for our future.” I turned around and saw Trevor, swaying unsteadily, clearly drunk. His bloodshot eyes locked onto mine, glistening with unshed tears. “Trevor, it’s not that I don’t want to understand you, but you always make me feel… like I’m not that important to you.” “I know, it’s my fault. I didn’t consider your feelings. I wasn’t there when you needed me. You had to go to the hospital alone. And despite knowing you're allergic, I still let roses into our house just because Rachel wanted them."He gently cupped my face, his touch tender. “But, baby, I care about you. More than I care about myself.” His sincerity made my resolve waver, but before I could respond, Luna stormed out of the car and yanked me away from him. "You have no right to touch her!" Luna snapped, her glare sharp and unwavering. "Where were you when Chloe was in pain? She had to go to the hospital all by herself! And who’s the one

  • From Heartbreak to the CEO’s Bed   Chapter 28: Another Apology

Chloe’s POV“Kiss! Kiss!” My gaze swept across the crowd to see Trevor and Rachel standing close, surrounded by people cheering them on. A pang of discomfort hit me, but I tried not to dwell on it. They were just playing along with the clients—it wasn’t like they had a choice. “Chloe, what are you looking at?” Luna’s voice interrupted my thoughts. “Oh, nothing.” She followed my line of sight and immediately understood everything. “Tonight’s about us, remember? Let’s not think about anything stressful!” “Cheers!” To my surprise, Amy raised her glass and began drinking. It wasn’t long before Amy started getting a little drunk. Sitting quietly with Luna, her son, and me, Amy began to open up about her story. The woman who was usually aggressive and overly critical at work, my sworn nemesis, now looked weary and defeated, a vulnerability I’d never seen in her before. “You probably think I’m harsh, mean-spirited, even petty,” she said, her voice tinged with suppressed bit

Chloe’s POVTo everyone’s shock, Mark slammed the wine glass against his own head. Blood streamed down his forehead as the veins on his face and neck bulged, making him look terrifying. "You don’t even understand what it means to save money! I work my ass off, and you just throw it all away!" Their argument echoed across the restaurant. Luna and I sat nearby, catching snippets of their sharp and cutting words. "Throw it away?" Amy shot back furiously. "Do you have any idea how much it costs to run this household? I haven’t wasted a dime! Everything goes toward our child. Meanwhile, we’re still footing the bill for your sister’s monthly weed habit!" "Don’t you dare bring up my family!" Mark roared, his voice booming. "You’re the one who can’t control yourself. What kind of woman spends like you do?" With that, he grabbed her purse off the table and held it up. "This stupid bag cost three thousand dollars! What good does it do? Can you eat it?" Amy’s face flushed red. "Tha

Chloe’s POV"Sweetheart, we're heading out now."Trevor kissed my forehead before leaving. As I opened my drowsy eyes, I saw him and Rachel walking out the door, both dressed in perfectly coordinated business suits. They looked like a flawless pair.Today, I had taken the day off. This cursed allergy had left my face in a terrible state. I took a cab to the hospital, where the doctor prescribed some medication and sternly warned me to stay away from roses, or the red spots on my face would never go away. I listened quietly, but my thoughts drifted. If Trevor were here, he’d probably remind me with even more care. He’d help me apply the cream and gently blow on my face with concern in his eyes.Leaving the hospital, I wandered aimlessly through the bustling streets, feeling an empty ache in my chest. I didn’t want to sit at home alone, waiting for Trevor and Rachel to come back arm in arm. I needed to reclaim my own life."Hey, girl! What are you up to? Let’s grab dinner!" I cal

  • From Heartbreak to the CEO’s Bed   Chapter 25: Speechless

Chloe’s POV"Wasn’t it you who asked Mr. Roman to take me to the hospital?" "What? No, we haven’t been in touch lately." Roman lied to me! He made it sound like Trevor had sent him to find me and take me to the hospital, but Trevor had no idea about any of it! Roman must have just happened to run into me, taken me to the hospital, and tried to talk me out of breaking up with Trevor. What did he take me for? A gullible child he could easily fool? Then again, he probably meant well, trying to ease things between me and Trevor. Fine. I wouldn’t hold it against him. "You just happened to bump into Uncle?" "Yeah, we ran into each other on the way.”"And he’s the one who took you to the hospital? That’s so unlike him. My uncle usually avoids people like the plague." "Yes, he even talked to me quite a bit." "That’s surprising. He’s always so swamped with work he barely has time to grab a proper meal. Can you believe he’s never even dated anyone? And yet, he made time to take
