Mason Hart
Evan and I quickly followed Brad and Trent out towards the purpose-built holding cells in the woods. It was a brick and steal built building nestled within the trees. We slowed down as we approached the building and I noticed that the security door was open slightly. I looked down towards the floor to see what was stopping the door from closing, disturbingly it was crushing one of the dead guard's hands.
I could tell the door had tried to slam shut with some force, because the guy's hand was almost sliced in half. I cautiously stepped over the pool of blood and tugged on the heavy door. As I pulled it open, the guards mangled hand fell apart onto the floor. With the door now open, I could see the full extent of what Finn had done to the poor guy. Scanning over his torn-up body, I couldn't even recognize him. His face was completely gone, left in its place was just mangled crimson flesh and veins.
His unsightly and gruesome smile will haunt my dreams forever, you don't realize quite how many teeth somebody has, until they don't have their skin or lips to cover them anymore. One of his eyes was hanging down his face, it was just dangling there still attached by his optic nerve. That injury stood out to me the most, as his eye laid there perfectly intact against the backdrop of his destroyed face. I glanced over the rest of his body, and saw that his stomach had been gouged open, causing his intestines to spill out of his body and onto the floor. All I could think was that, I hoped he'd died quickly and didn't go through too much pain. Evan followed in behind me, as I knelt down to check the guard's security badge.
“Dude it's like a fucking slaughterhouse in here!” Evan said in astonishment as he walked past me, and then inspected the rest of the corridor. I watched him as he entered the cell that Finn had been kept in. The cells were made from four walls of bulletproof glass that sat caged within solid silver bars. The glass of the cell was covered in the second guard's blood, making it impossible to see the carnage that laid within it.
“Wow, you thought that guy had it rough? You should see the guy in there,” Evan said while pointing over his shoulder with his thumb at the cell behind him.
“Is it that bad?” I asked as I stood up.
He sighed and replied,
“Well there's not a lot left of him, let's just put it that way.”
I screwed my face up in disgust, I had seen a lot of gory scenes in my time as a hunter, but this was by far the grossest.
“I'm guessing that Mr. bones in there,” he said as he pointed back towards the cell again,
“for some stupid reason opened the cell door. Finn killed him, then face off guy here,” Evan pointed towards the guard on the floor, as he continued,
“has come to investigate, seen Finn chowing down on bones, so he's sprinted like Usain Bolt, but Finn's mauled him before he could make it out of the building. Then face off guys hand stopped the door from closing properly, so, Finn got his born free moment.”
I nodded in agreement then turned to face Brad and Trent.
“You two!” I shouted, and snapped my fingers at them to get their attention. They both just stood there with their mouths open, and eyes wide, taking in every little bit of horror that laid before them.
“Yes Fionn, what do you need us to do?” Trent asked as he stood to attention and waited for my orders. Brad was still in shock, and didn't acknowledge me at all. I huffed in annoyance, then yelled at him,
“Brad!?” He quickly glanced at me, then replied,
“Sorry Fionn, I'm listening.”
“Good, I need this place cleaned up as quickly as possible. Under no circumstances can we have the other hunters finding out what unfolded here today, do you understand?” I said my orders firmly. I then turned to Trent and began to give him his orders,
“Trent, you're going to need to bag up both of these bodies. I then need you to carry them to the incinerator and burn them. Can you do that for me?” He nodded and immediately headed for the supply closet to fetch the body bags.
Brad looked troubled, so I gave him a questioning look.
“You can't be serious Fionn? What about their families? They'll want a funeral or at least to say goodbye,” he snapped at me.
I furrowed my brow at his outburst, and then replied in a harsh tone,
“I know that Brad, but what do you suggest we tell them, huh? No doubt they told their Fianna's who they were guarding down here. Do you want to be the one to tell them that Finn ripped them apart?”
He didn't reply, he just lowered his head to the floor and shook it slightly. I moved closer to him and put my hand on his shoulder, and spoke in a slightly kinder tone,
“Look, I know this is a tough situation, but right now we need to focus on cleaning this shit up, and finding Finn before he kills anyone else. Then we can work out what the fuck we're going to do about this entire mess, and figure out an explanation to give to the guard's families, ok?” He looked back up at me, and smiled slightly then asked,
“Ok Fionn, I understand, what's my orders?”
“Right, I need you to help Trent bag these two up and carry them to the incinerator, if anyone asks what you're doing, just tell them we found two more werewolf carcasses out in the woods, ok?” I waited for a response, and he quickly nodded in compliance. Trent had come back out with the two body bags, so I then addressed them both,
“Once you've finished, I need you to meet the rest of us at the armory hut in the woods, there we will load up with equipment. Then we will hunt down Finn, and bring him back here, understood?” They both stood to attention, and replied in unison,
“Yes Fionn!” I nodded at them slightly, then ushered for Evan to follow me out of the building.
“We will send down some of the girls shortly, to clean up the blood. See you guys in a bit,” I said before we exited the building.

Evan and I began walking back to the cabin, and Evan pulled out his phone to ring Ellie, so that she could prepare the girls for the cleaning, and the hunt.
“She's not picking up, idiot probably let her phone die reading her stupid stories again,” Evan groaned, and then huffed as he shoved his phone back into his pocket. As we approached the cabin we heard an ear-piercing screech.
“Shit!” Evan yelled as we both glanced at each other, and then bolted towards the cabin. We got into the cabin, and stayed on guard as we searched every room on the lower floor, for anything out of place.
“Where the fuck did the scream come from?” Evan asked me in a hushed voice.
“I have no idea, maybe upstairs?” I questioned as I pointed to the ceiling.
Evan nodded and began to creep towards the stairs, and I followed closely behind him. We rested our backs against the wall and slowly made our way up the stairs. Once on the landing, Evan waited outside his and El's room, he then cautiously opened the door and peered in. He popped his head back out again and shook it slightly, and the relief could be seen clearly on his face.
We then quietly made our way towards the next bedroom, and as we approached we could hear loud bangs coming from inside the room. I paused outside the door, and then lifted my foot ready to boot it in. I turned to Evan and counted,
“One... Two... Three!”
“Arrrrggghhhh!” A girl screamed, as she flung open the door, before I'd had a chance to kick it in. Stevie then screamed again as she threw her can of monster at my head. It bounced off of my face, hit the wall, and then crashed to the floor. My hand instinctively shot up to my forehead and rubbed the spot where the can had hit me.
“What the hell Mason!?” Stevie yelled at me with her hands on her hips. I was in too much shock to reply.
“You scared the shit out of me, why are you both lurking around outside Carmen's bedroom like that?” She asked in confusion as she proceeded to fold her arms across her chest.
“We heard a scream, and thought it came from up here. Sorry for coming to your rescue, we won't bother next time!” Evan replied sarcastically.
“What? We didn't scream, did we Carmen?” Stevie shouted back into the bedroom.
“No, it wasn't us,” Carmen shouted back from the bathroom.
“Then who was it? Where's El?” I asked Stevie with concern. She looked up into the air trying to remember.
“Um, about an hour ago, she said she wanted to go and sit with Freya, she likes to talk to her every now and again, she said she finds it relaxing or something. I personally think she just goes down there to read her smut,” she casually replied.
“Crap!” Evan mumbled under his breath, and then took off running back down the stairs.
***
I hurried after Evan and followed him all the way to the basement door. He typed in the code, and then yanked open the heavy door. I ascended into my hunting form as I rushed down the stairs quickly followed by Evan.
A deafening growl welcomed us as we entered Freya's room, it was quickly followed by concurrent ferocious snarls.
“Sssshhhhh! If you don't move he'll settle back down again.” El whispered. I looked over to the back wall, and there she was, pressed tightly into the corner.
“El, are you...” Evan began to ask, but another deafening growl filled the air, and Ellie quickly placed her finger onto her lips and shook her head. We got the hint and ceased our communication. Ellie then pointed over towards Freya, indicating for us to watch.
I looked over at my beloved Fianna. She was still laid on her bed, sound asleep like the beautiful Angel that she was, but perched on top of her chest was a humongous wolf. It was covered in red and dark gray fur, with light blond accents. It was a lot larger than the average werewolf, but the thing that I noticed the most, was that it had these piercing ice blue eyes, and they had our hunter's vortex swirling around the pupils.
The wolf began to whimper, as it licked Freya's face. I cringed at the sight and held back the urge to cut its throat open. If that was any other werewolf it would have been dead within seconds of me entering the basement. But I just couldn't bring myself to kill it, how could I kill one of my oldest friends, it would feel like I was killing a brother. We needed to find a way to help him, I thought to myself.
This had never happened before, a hunter had never been turned into a werewolf, first Freya and now Finnley. Many of us were bitten by werewolves two months ago, when Tristan's pack attacked us, but no one else had turned. Finn, however, was the only one that was bitten by Freya.
He was normal for a few days after being bitten. The wound healed like they normally do, and he felt fine. Then all of a sudden he got the flu, which is unheard of within the hunter community. I mean, sure, we get injured all the time, but we never get sick. He then got a fever, then he had delusions for a few days, and he kept on talking about someone called Selene. He'd also attacked Stevie in the middle of the night, scared her half to death the poor girl.
That was the last straw, and we decided to lock him up, for his, and everyone else’s safety. Stevie hadn't been to visit him at all since he attacked her. We had kept her updated, but she just couldn't bring herself to see him. He then returned to normal for a few peeks, so, we chanced it and let him out. He was out for a couple of days, then he got into a fight with Evan, over something silly, and he suddenly began to shift. That was when we decided to lock him up permanently until we could find out what was going on.
Finn continued to whimper and lick Freya's face.
“Finn? Is that you?” Stevie quietly questioned, as she crept down the basement stairs.
Crap! Evan must have forgotten to close the door, I thought to myself. We let her pass, and she made her way towards Finnley. When she got to within a couple of feet of him, he turned and snarled at her. She jumped back startled, and said to him softly,
“Oh Finnley, I am so sorry I wasn't there to help you through all of this. Please forgive me, I love you.”
She then placed her head into her hands, and began to sob loudly. Finn's wolf turned his head to the side, and then stared at Stevie with curiosity, he then leapt off of Freya and cautiously approached Stevie. He scowled at Evan and I, so we held our hands up and backed up a little, just enough so that we weren't on top of them. But we made sure that we weren’t too far away, as we still needed to be able to get to Stevie quickly, if Finn decided to turn on her again.
Finn reached Stevie, then whimpered at her, while gently nudging her elbow with his nose. She pulled her hands away from her face and looked down at him, a smile then grew across her face and she sat down on the floor. Finn licked her tears, and then purred, as he softly rubbed his face against hers. She giggled as she stroked his fur, and I sighed with relief, while I silently watched Finn being loving towards his Fianna.
Maybe he was like Freya, and he could control his wolf? Maybe he wasn't a savage beast after all? My questioning thoughts were cut short, by the sudden and blood-curdling screams of Stevie. Finn had sunken his canines into her skin, just between her shoulder and her neck. She wailed out in agony as she tried to fend him off, with very little success. Evan and I rushed to her side, I slid my arm around Finn's solid neck, and began to pull him backwards.
He snarled and snapped his jaws at me, trying his best to fight me off. I jumped on to his back, and then tightened my grip around his neck, while Evan was busy helping Stevie to her feet. I looked up at him with panic in my eyes, Finn was stronger than any wolf I'd ever fought before, and I was struggling to keep a hold of him. Evan got the hint, and called for Ellie to help with Stevie,
“Ellie, quickly. Take Stevie to the holding cells, and then call Hannah to come over and help her,” he said frantically. Ellie rushed over to Stevie and held her up.
“No! Please don't put me in the cells, I don't want to be in the cell next to him,” Stevie cried out, as she took her blood covered hand away from her neck and pointed at Finn. Finnley whimpered in reply as he tried to shake me off.
“It will only be for a little while Stevie, just while Hannah gets you all patched up, we can't let anyone know about this, remember?” Ellie whispered to her, and then ushered her up the stairs.
“Can you call Brad and Trent, we're going to need all the help we can get, to get Finn back into his cell,” I shouted out to Evan, while I struggled with Finn's gigantic wolf. Evan nodded, and then pulled his phone out of his pocket, he turned away as he began to speak on the phone. I decided to test my theory that werewolves can control their wolves, I had seen Freya do it and I wondered of Finn could too?
“Right, here goes! Finn, it's me Mason, can you understand me?” Finn's wolf huffed, and I instantly felt his body begin to relax. He stopped thrashing around and became still. Wow, I think it's working, I thought to myself. Finn's wolf began to lower himself towards the ground, and as he did, he began to whimper a little. It felt like he was apologizing. Weird I know, but that's what it seemed like to me.
Feeling a little more at ease, I stepped off of him and stood to his side, I then watched as he laid down on the concrete floor. He rested his head on his gigantic paws, and sighed. My body relaxed as I began to trust that Finn was now in complete control of his wolf.
“What the fuck Mason!?” Evan yelled at me as he turned back around, and saw that I'd let Finn go.
I tried to tell him to shush but it was too late, his yelling had startled Finn. His wolf leapt off of the ground with lightning speed, and then pinned Evan to the floor. Finn was snarling and snapping at Evan's face, and all Evan could do, was hold his fur just below his jaw and try to push him away. I jumped into action and threw my arms around Finn's waist. He was that damn enormous, that my arms wouldn't fit all the way around him. It was almost impossible for me to keep a grip of him, as he thrashed around and tried to throw me off.
“Mason do something!” Evan screamed at me in a complete panic. I managed to quickly think of an idea that might work. I held my head back, and screeched as loudly as I could into the air. I knew that it made werewolves fall to the floor, and instantly cover their ears.
I finished my screech and looked down towards Finn, but he was completely unaffected by the screech, and he was still trying to bite Evan's face off.
“Wow, he really is a mega wolf!” I said out loud in amazement.
“Ok dude, can you save the bromance for later please, and concentrate on getting this oversized mutant off of me!” Evan managed to grunt out between snarls and lunges from Finn.
“Oh, my God Evan!” Ellie screamed as she ascended while running down the stairs. She flew forwards towards Finn, but he'd already spotted her. He lifted one of his huge paws into the air, and effortlessly slashed it across her face. Blood splattered everywhere, and she passed out instantly, causing her to plummet face first onto the concrete floor.
“EL, NOOO!” Evan screamed and tried even harder to push Finn's wolf off of him. I quickly focused all of my strength on pulling Finn off of Evan, so that he could go to Ellie.
“Arrgghhh!” I groaned as I tried to rip the wolf away from Evan, I lost my grip and ended up flying backwards, landing on the concrete floor with a thud. I hurried to right myself, but before I even had the chance to move a muscle, Finn had pounced on top of me.
I tried to do the same as Evan had, and grabbed a hold of his neck fur to try and push his head away from me. But as I pushed him, my hand suddenly slipped and his face lunged forwards towards mine. I turned my head to the side, and then closed my eyes as I prepared myself for Finn to rip my face off, like he did to that guard in the cells.
“FINNLEY ENOUGH!” She growled from behind me.
Instantly Finn's wolf crawled off of me, bowed his head in submission, and then ran over to her like a little puppy dog. He wagged his tail and yapped at her with excitement. I rolled over onto my stomach, and then cautiously raised myself to my feet. I kept my head down, and first saw her bare feet, I then scanned up her body, and was met by her lovingly smiling face. My eyes then finally landed on her beautiful ice blue illuminated eyes.
“Freya, you're awake!”
Freya RoseI laid there keeping my eyes firmly closed as I heard the commotion unfolding right beside me. I listened carefully and tried to figure out what was going on. I could hear a man grunting and groaning as if he was fighting someone. Then I heard a wolf snarling and growling, and it sent me into a panic.I didn't know any other wolves apart from the Jasper pack, and they had been sent to kill me, so I didn't want whoever was there to realize that I was awake. The last thing I could remember was being in agony as I shifted into my wolf form for the first time.I guess I must have passed out after I shifted. It was weird though. I couldn't smell the woods or trees and I couldn't feel the breeze or hear the birds. It felt like I was inside. But, inside of what? I didn't know exactly. I was curious but I still couldn't build up the confidence enough to open my eyes.I listened as the man's nois
Freya RoseI turned away from Mason and slid down the door towards the floor. Now sat on the cold concrete ground, I rested my head back against the glass door of the cell. Finn sat in the corner of the cell and Stevie sat up against the glass of her own cell next to him. They both looked at me with sorrow in their eyes. I glanced down at the floor and asked softly,“What happened?”I waited silently for an answer. I heard Mason sigh then slide down to the floor himself. Even through the glass of the cell door, I could feel the magnetic pull of Mason's body, and even though I was furious with him for locking me in here, I still felt safe and protected with him around. I sat there and focused all of my attention on Mason as he began to tell me what had happened.“When Tristan's pack attacked us, myself, your dad and a small group of hunters went searching for you in the woods. We s
Freya RoseI wanted desperately to run over to Mason and check if he was alright, but I knew if I didn't act fast Stevie would be killed for sure. This time Finn didn't react at all to my order for him to stop. The only reason I could think of was that earlier when I screamed at him to get off of Mason, I wasn't ascended, and now I was. So, I descended as quickly as I could. Finn was only seconds away from reaching Stevie, who was now huddled in the corner of the room shaking like a leaf.“FINN NO!” I bellowed as soon as I'd descended. His wolf stopped dead in its tracks just like it had earlier, but this time it repeatedly shook it's head as if trying to fight against my orders. Finnley mind linked me in a panic,“Freya! Please help me,” his voice was so frantic, it was the plea of a desperate man.“I'm trying to hold him back, but he's too strong for me
Freya RoseI marched across the grass with my head held high, as I prepared to face my fate. Although my body screamed strength and power, my eyes betrayed me as a steady stream of burning hot tears fell from them and slid down my flushed cheeks. I stopped in the middle of the field between the cabin and the woods, and scrunched my toes into the blades of soft grass beneath me, savoring the tickle that each blade left upon my feet.I closed my eyes as the cool breeze gently stroked my face and swept through my hair. I inhaled deeply taking in the fresh scent of the trees that was carried along on the wind as it hurried past me. I then aggressively threw my arms out and shot open my eyes, letting out my full power as I screeched up into the sky and ascended. With my magnificent wings fanned out, I levitated into the air. I then screeched even louder, and my body began to shake when it became engulfed
Freya RoseOur first night together as Fianna and Fennid was glorious. It was more than just sex; it was intense and mind-blowing. The magnetic connection that we shared was out of this world. The electrical sparks and heat between us, just pushed every single feeling and touch into overdrive. We even burst into flames a couple of times and damn near burned the cabin down. I even think I heard the smoke alarm go off at one point. The bright sun shone through the gaps in the drapes and gently woke me from my slumber. I let out a little moan as I stretched my arms up into the air. It was a great stretch, you know like one of those stretches that feels almost orgasmic, well it was that good.I finished my epic stretch off with a loud and obvious yawn, I was hoping to wake Mason accidentally on purpose.I mean I didn't want to seem desperate or anything but, well, you know, a girls got needs. I wanted t
Freya RoseMason did a pretty good job of taking my mind off of the weird way that Evan had acted after I fell on him, butt naked. But now that Mason was in the bathroom, doing God knows what, my mind began to obsess again.I mean what the fuck was that look all about? And that wink, what was that? Like I know Evan and I flirt a bit, and he did yank down his pants and show me his penis that one time, but I just thought it was some harmless fun. When did it become something more in his eyes? Or was I just overreacting?Maybe he was winding me up or something? YEAH! Yeah, that definitely sounds like something Evan would do. Make me all paranoid about him being into me, then take the piss out of me for it, and be all like, ‘So you've been lying in bed thinking about me have ya Angel cakes?’ Then make it look like it's me that has a crush on him just to wind up Mason. Oh, I bet that's his ga
Freya RoseI was having a blast at my Fionn welcome party. The drink was still flowing, music booming, and the party games were in full swing. Mason and Evan were playing beer pong again, and the testosterone was thick in the air. God those boys are competitive, I thought as I watched Mason hurl the little ping-pong ball through the air.“Boom!” He yelled out and fist-pumped the air as the ball landed in one of Evan's cups with a splash.I giggled as he shot me a wink, and Evan groaned at having to chug yet another beer.“Don't get too excited dude. My turn!” Evan shouted across the table.Evan turned his back to the table and threw the ball over his shoulder. No way he's gonna get that in, I thought to myself. The crowd went wild as the ball circled the rim of the cup then splashed into the beer.“No way!” I shouted in amazement.
Freya RoseI reached my hand behind me and ran my fingers through Evan's hair as he softly kissed my neck. My mind began to wonder, I couldn't believe I was actually doing this.I suddenly realized that Mason and I were surrounded by flames, how the hell was Evan kissing my neck? How was his face not melting off?I stopped kissing Mason and looked around to see if Evan's face was still intact. I gasped as I saw that Evan was now engulfed in flames too. Sensing my body tense up, Evan pulled away from me and Mason lowered me to the floor.I turned to face Evan, he grinned and said to me,“It's cool right!”He was so proud of his new flames; he even did a little twirl. I giggled at his silliness then asked him,“Are you a Phoenix too?”He looked at me and shook his head. I watched as his flames began to fade, his face dropped,
Mason HartKali walked me into the cabin and escorted me towards the living room. Just as we reach the door she stopped abruptly and stood in front of me. My body stiffened as she grabbed both of my shoulders. A sadistic grin spread across her face and her eyes sparkled with enjoyment.“I almost forgot! I have a surprise for you,” she said as she vibrated with excitement. My heart sank, I knew that any surprise she had for me wasn't a good thing, and I dreaded to think what she had in store. Her face dropped and her brows furrowed as she inspected my face. I knew she wanted me to be excited, so I smiled back at her, trying my best to look enthusiastic, when all I really wanted to do was run for the hills. She bought my fake enthusiasm and her sadistic smile returned. She turned around and grabbed the door handle, but before she opened the door she looked at me and said sweetly,“I
Freya RoseI awoke to the smell of fresh coffee and bagels, I was laid on the couch with a blanket draped over me. I sat up and stretched while wiping the sleep out of my eyes. Mason was right about one thing, being here had given me two nights of the best sleep I'd had in a long time.“Morning love, how are you feeling?” Samael asked, as he entered the living room with a cup of coffee and a plate of delicious-looking bagels.“I feel great, thank you. Are those for me?” I asked in excitement.“No! They're mine, I didn't walk all the way into town to buy fresh coffee and bagels just for you,” he said while trying to be all serious, but the smirk on his face gave him away instantly.“Just give them here you joker!” I said with a snigger while holding my hand out waiting to receive my goods.“I can't get anything past you, can I?” He
Freya RoseAs soon as I heard Sadie and Charlie's car pull away I let my rage take over. I screeched into the air, instantly triggering my ascension. As my wings ripped through the skin on my shoulder blades, I threw my arms upwards and caught the dining table with my fingertips, which sent it crashing into the wall with enormous force. The plates and cups smashed into millions of pieces, sending food and ceramic shards hurtling through the air around me as I burst into my brilliant electrical flames. When I became fully ascended my screeching ceased, only to be instantly replaced by the sound of my weighted breaths. I clenched my fists and then let my arms fall to my sides. I wanted nothing more than to smash up everything in sight, but I heard a quiet whimper inside my head.“Freya? Please calm down. I know you're upset, but this isn't Sadie and Charlie's fault. You need to have this out with Mason!” Min
Mason HartI gazed up at the starlit sky that blanketed my hometown, with the love of my life sleeping on my lap. It was the best feeling in the entire world. I had long given up on finding my Fianna, and now look at us. It's been a tough road, and there is much more that we need to face, but I know that with Freya by my side we can achieve anything. I will not let anything happen to her, and I will die trying to protect her. She is my world, she is my love, she is my everything.I carefully scooped Freya up into my arms then gradually stood up trying my hardest not to wake her. That was the most peaceful I had seen her in such a long time, and I didn't want to ruin it. I quietly ascended then took off into the sky and headed towards my mom's house. I flew for around ten minutes or so, slowing down each time that Freya began to stir. Eventually, I reached the house and lowered us down silently onto the grass, th
Freya Rose“Mason, what in the hell are you doing? Where are we going? What's wrong?” I quickly bombarded him with questions, not giving him a chance to answer the first before moving onto the next.“Freya, shhh please, my mom's watching us, just act like everything's normal,” he answered through a gritted smile while he waved at Sadie through the kitchen window.I smiled at Sadie and she returned the smile. The suspicious look she had on her face didn't dissipate, and she continued to watch us like a hawk as she finished making the coffees. Mason leaned into me and pulled me in for a hug. While in our embrace he began to whisper into my ear,“There's a serious problem back home.”I could hear the panic in his voice even with him trying to hide it from me. I pulled away from our hug and stared into his worried eyes.“Well, what are we waiting for? W
Freya RoseMason had been flying for hours, I kept asking if I could fly beside him. He must have been getting tired by now, but he insisted that he wanted to carry me. He said that he'd nearly lost me once today and he didn't ever want to let me go. I decided to do as he wished and stayed curled up in his arms. I think I managed to drift off to sleep for around twenty minutes or so, but was awoken by a rumble of thunder shortly thereafter. I laid my head back down onto Mason's chest then sighed out loud as we continued to fly through the ash-gray cloud-covered sky.“It looks like it's gonna rain soon,” I stated sullenly to Mason.“It doesn't matter, because we're already here,” he replied unusually excited, which seemed odd to me considering the situation we were currently in.I wondered what had him so happy as he lowered us to the ground. I placed my feet onto the floor,
Freya RoseI was crouched down on the concrete basement floor. My vision was still obscured, my face and arm were heavily bleeding, and I still could not contact my wolf. I felt deflated and believed that this would be the end for me. I couldn't see any way out of the dire situation that I was in. Unless my vision, or wolf senses miraculously reappeared within the next few seconds, I knew that I wouldn't be able to protect myself from her next attack.I held my blood-covered hand in front of me for protection, then used my other hand to feel behind me as I shuffled backwards. I didn't want her being able to sneak up behind me, so I decided to back myself up against the wall. Every time I inched back a little I could hear her feet take a few steps forward. At least I know she's in front of me, I thought to myself. My hand finally hit the brick wall, so I pushed myself up against it and gradually rose to my feet.
Freya RoseKnock, knock. Our laughter was interrupted by a gentle tap on the office door.“Ahem.” I cleared my throat and waved at the guys to quit their playing around.Mason ran over to the couch and sat down on it, placing the fire extinguisher down the side out of view. Evan then looked at me and pointed at his hair then whispered,“How am I supposed to explain this?”I sniggered then took my bright pink hoodie off of the coat stand next to the desk and threw it at him.“Really?” He questioned me in a whisper while raising an eyebrow. With a smirk on my face, I shrugged at him then straightened my face and sat down at my desk.Knock, knock.Another tap at the door a little louder this time.“Com...” I began to answer but Evan waved his
Freya Rose“What's the hunter's Council and why would they want to kill me?” I asked Mason. He was very panicked, and I knew this was extremely serious, but I didn't have a clue what he was on about.“Come with me to the office, Evan and I will explain everything,” he said as he held out his hand for me to take.I took his hand and followed him as he gently pulled me into my dad's office. Once in the office he sat down on the couch and patted the seat beside him. I sat down and waited for someone to explain. Evan walked over to me and handed me a whisky. I took it from him and said in a light-hearted way,“Really Evan? It's like ten in the morning.”I let out a little chuckle but then silenced myself when I saw his worried expression.“You're gonna need it, Angel, trust me!” He replied in a low and gruff voice.
