In the dimly lit room, Hudson shifted back into his human form, his eyes immediately drawn to Selena’s trembling lips. It was a captivating sight, one that momentarily stole his breath. Droplets of water clung to her hair, sliding down her skin, tracing her shoulders, and soaking into the fabric of her dress. The wet clung to her body, outlining every curve, a sight which was not good for his manly urge. Urge he fought to control.

Her crystal blue eyes glowed. It was a look that pierced through the air, binding him to her in a way he hadn’t expected. Despite her fragility, she had a hold on him that was impossible to ignore.

Gently, he lifted her from the bathtub, her body soft and vulnerable against his. She felt light, delicate. Without a word, he carried her to his bed, laying her down carefully.
