“You are bleeding,” Benji told Piper. This was the third time in a row that he said that to his sister, and each time the concern in his voice grows. He had trouble looking directly at her wound, but he kept glancing at her as she drove through the dark roads. Her heart was pounding in her chest, as she was scared that someone was going to attack them. She wouldn’t have felt this way if it was just her, but now she had her brother with her. She knows that she will not be able to protect him and herself alone when she is already injured.

“I am fine, buddy. We are going to the hospital. We can get it checked there. It’s fine. Just don’t look at it.” She softly chuckled. She was trying to keep him calm. It was a wonder how he didn’t get a panic attack after Felix tied him like that. Maybe he was still processing everything that happened. She glanced at Benji, who gulped and nervously nodded his head. He lowered his gaze before he tightly closed his eyes and held onto the seat tightly.
