ADIRENNE'S POV
I was still staring at the hands stretched in front of me. I must have saved a generation in my past life, maybe that's why I've been meeting hot dudes these days.
He was the same guy I saw during chemistry practical but looked a little different from earlier. Maybe this was as a result of the change in his clothes or the fact that I was staring at him from a closer point of view.
"You must be Adrienne, cappuccino girl right?" With that I come out of my imagination.
He must have noticed how long I dazed off admiring his features, seeing the triumphant smirk on his face. Maybe he was no different from Alec. They were friends after all.
"Uhhm..." I say rubbing my hand at the back of my neck, getting a little nervous.
"So if you done checking me out, do you mind heading inside?" He smiles this time around.
I turn around and press the doorbell not wantin
ADRIENNE'S POVIt was 6:00am in the morning, as I lay on my bed while staring at the ceiling lost in thought. It was the weekend and all I could think of was resting and spending all the time to myself but my plans just had to change.I had promised the girls to hang out with them and at the same time, Derek chose my Saturday as the day I get to live as he wishes. And here I am, staring at the ceiling trying to comprehend how this day was going to play out.I finally decide to head for the kitchen and grab some bottle of water to store in my room as I often get dehydrated. It was still early so there being less kitchen staffs there when I arrived. I open the fridge I was directed to and grab about four bottles when I hear a low huff behind me.I turn around to find Derek dressed in grey joggers with a black sleeveless top, showing off his muscles. He had a gray hand band on his left hand and his jet-blac
ADRIENNE’S POV“Did you go to the gym with Derek” Alec asks from behind. I could just always feel his aura whenever he’s nearby and now wasn’t an exception.“What does it look like?” I ask back not ready to play it cool. I guess I was in the mood for some bickering this morning. The day was already bright, so I decided to head back to the dinning for breakfast rather than changing and coming back down the stairs. Call me lazy, but that was definitely how I felt at the moment.“Any plans today?” I ask Alec while dishing myself from already served pancakes. I grab a white cup with little heart design on it and fill it with milk, as I settle down to dig in.“Why do you care?” he says a little snarky with a glint in his green eyes.“Trust me, I don’t. I barely try to pu
ADRIENNE’S POVI stare at Nick’s hopeful eyes and desperately wanted to give him the answer he searched for, but that wasn’t happening.“Sorry Nick, I promised to go with the girls, Aileen and Kathie” I answer with a sad expression but that wasn’t the case for him. His expression still seemed hopeful, like he had another plan.I kept giving him a quizzical look, this time he’s giving me a mysterious smile.“What did you do Nick?” I feel like he played dirty.“Since it’s still Derek’s day, I got him to tell me to tell you to accompany me to the party. So that’s literally like his wish.” He says now smiling brightly, given the hilarious expression on my face.“Nick! That’s cheating. Well played” I say while standing up
ADRIENNE’S POVOur lips were still locked against each other, and I could feel his hot breath on my skin. He tilts his head, nudging my lips open with his, and I sigh in pleasure as he deepens the kiss. I was starting to enjoy the kiss but something felt different. The kiss was beginning to feel forceful and commanding and as it deepened, I knew this wasn’t meant for me. It was like, he was trying to get at someone and I could definitely feel the anger in his every move. I break off our contact and take a step back, just to find his eyes locked with a red hair lady who had a red strapless gown with white flower pattern on, which stopped halfway from her knees. She had a red wedge on, so I knew she was the center of attention some minutes ago. Finally accepting the kiss wasn’t meant for me, I was starting to feel my blood boil from within. What just happened.“What was
ADRIENNE’S POVI was seated on the opposite side of Kathie and Christian as my mind wanders off. Nick had told me earlier that he wasn’t perfectly sure Alec remembered all that had happened Saturday night and I couldn’t help but wonder to what extent he remembers. I mean we had literally shared a kiss and it wouldn’t be fair on my part to remember that moment all alone. After Saturday night, I had avoided Alec like a plague. I guess I couldn’t bring myself to have a conversation with him yet or even stay within the same space without my eyes drifting back to those wicked lips of his.He did show up for some of the classes we took together and whenever we made eye contacts, he had a questioning look on his face. But I, for now, didn’t have any answer to them. So I just stare at my food and pick on it, which was odd of me since fries was one of my favorite.
ADRIENNE’S POVI pretend to clear my throat before I finally speak up.“Sorry, I was caught off-guard. He didn’t give me heads up that our relationship was going public. He could be irrational at times.”I currently had a fake smile plastered on my face while hoping my acting skills didn’t disappoint me.“Are you kidding me?” Camille gives a short laugh in disbelief.“That’s your-”“Shh Baby, I got this.” I cut Alec’s words short, with one of my fingers over his lips.I could already see his green eyes giving me a glaring look. The worst was yet to come.“He’s crazily in love with me. What’s so hard to believe there?” I was trying to sound cool, but my choice of words
ADRIENNE’S POVIt was already late when Derek finally brings the motorcycle to a stop. The sun had completely disappeared and the sky was replaced with an almost full moon being surrounded with dark clouds. The night weather was cold and I was happy to have my hoodie around my waist. We were both standing side by side in the parking lot of an unfamiliar diner. We drove for almost an hour and that made me wonder, since when was the mansion that far from school? But it all made sense now that I was in front of a building whose sign board read ‘Macy’s Diner.’The first thought that pops into my head was whether he was hungry. But even if that was the case, did he have to drive all the way here?“Nicole loved coming here.” Funny how his cold but reserved tone often draws me out of my though
ADRIENNE’S POVThe corridor to Nick’s room was exceptionally quiet as my footsteps echoed through the whole hallway. And in a few minutes, I was standing in front of a well-furnished wooden door while hoping Nick wasn’t asleep. I knock twice on the door and on getting no response, took the initiative to let myself in.I walked into a dimly lit room with only one out of four lights on. I couldn’t remember the last time I was in a guy’s room, but it strangely felt normal. His room was large and his bed was positioned at the center.I could already see his sleeping figure on the bed but the fact that I could see a headset on his head, gave me the idea that he might not be asleep. Maybe the music was loud enough to block the sound of my knock or even the opening of his door. The room was well arranged but the corner that had his table and ch
ADRIENNE'S POV"Are you guys being serious right now?" Alec says as he stares at all four of us with dread in his green eyes.I looked breathtaking in the sexy black tulle plunging neckline open back dress I had on which looked simple but still perfect in my eyes. The slit on one side of the gow
ADRIENNE’S POV“How are things with Alec?” Aileen asks as we both exit the schools building. Kathie had gotten a ride home with Christian and that left only me and Aileen.Quite a number of students were still hanging around schoo
ADRIENNE’S POVThe look of realization dawns on both their faces. Before Derek could speak up, the bell for next period sounds.“I’ll explain it to you during lunch,” Derek says with an assuring tone as we walk to our next c
ADRIENNE’S POVThe way his eyes twitched at the mention of her name told me it was a name he was well familiar with but why was he lying? The only explanation to this was the fact that there was something he desperately wanted to keep hidden.
ADRIENNE’S POV“What do you want?” I ask hoping this wasn’t going to be as serious as it looked to be. I still didn’t understand the reason they approached Aileen and I or what they had to do with Alec.I try to breath
ADRIENNE’S POVI approach Liam and place my handkerchief in his left hands to use and clean himself up.“This is so embarrassing,” Liam says a litle under his breath as he turns around to clean the sticky milkshake on his face and
ADRIENNE’S POVJustin looked a little taken aback as he didn’t actually expect what I said earlier to be true. He turns to face me and try to get a confirmation but I just shrug in return. He stands up looking a little bit intimidated a
ADRIENNE’S POVI woke up to a loud sound ringing inside my head. I start by opening my eyes slowly but immediately shut it due to the bright ray of light tha eflected into it. After some seconds later I finally opened it and welcomed the morning sun. Just who left the curtains opened?
ADRIENNE’S POVI open my eyes slowly as I could already feel everyone’s gaze burning holes through my skin. If i were in their shoes, i would do the same thing.“What the hell are you talking about?” Aileen ask, obviously lost, but I was in no position to answer as my hea
