63: Lost Princess

ADRIANA'S POV

At first, the whole place looked like it was covered with trees. The doors opened and I saw a straight dirt path that would lead me to the street. My heart jumped but I kept it down, telling myself I wasn’t going to celebrate now. I needed to get out of here first. I could celebrate when I'm far away from here.

I ran out of the house, ignoring the burning in my feet. At this rate, I wouldn’t stop even if I were to catch on fire. I was finally seeing freedom and I embraced it.

I passed by the doors, watching it close back in place after I got out. I stopped for a split second and smiled, finally. I was free.

I ran down the road, not glancing back.
