CASPIAN’S POV

My eyes had become bloodshot red. Alpha Hector had once again made a perfect entrance at the worst of times. I could only wonder how he had taken the notion to arrive every time I had killed someone. Was this his power, or was this all this planned out?

“What’s happening here, boys?” Hector’s thick and domineering voice bit through the solid lies I had held up in my mind.

“It’s nothing, just cleaning up the room,” I concluded, trying to hide my fear. His eyes motioned skeptically around the room, looking for the perfect answer as he sniffed.

I wanted to use black magic, but I needed a farther distance to ensure he doesn’t detect it. This was pretty bad. I had fallen prey to one of the most outrageous of men, and if I landed a slight whimper, I could be headed to the afterlife.

“Something seems burned,” he halted looking at the bag. Raider was scared as hell; I could feel his burning desire to run and leave me behind. It was really intense.

“What’s in the bag?” He l

ELSA’S POVI couldn’t stop thinking about this whole scene. Damian is always finding a way to drag poor Dennis into a fight. Isn’t he ashamed of himself? I mean, fighting your comrade for something not worth it. “I’m the victim here, Elsa,” Damian said, his eyes showing how hurt he was. He sure knew how to play pretend. “Believe me, Luna, it was not his fault. I should have let him beat me like he truly wanted to,” Dennis responded, his voice thin and giving out a sense of helplessness. “Don’t say that. Damian is the insecure one, not trusting and not being there when you need his opinions on some certain things.”.“Shall I plead on his behalf, Luna? I mean, there’s nothing in the world much worse than being hurt by a true friend. His ego might be large, but his heart is frail..”Dennis recited; I could feel it was just a shame. Maybe it was planned out by Damian to make fun of my perception of him. “It’s okay, Dennis. I will make sure he doesn’t lay even a finger on you. Trust me

CASPIAN’S POV MERIDA? What was he talking about? How could Merida be living in me? Was this some kind of joke? “There’s no Merida here. There’s only me,” I shot out, slamming my fist onto his face. “You’re going to be one hell of a thought one. But nothing a little close can’t fix,” Alpha Hector let out, his hand on my neck. “Look me in the eye, Caspian; tell me what you see.” His eyes met mine, sending shock waves into my system. I could feel his claws burrowing into my skin, tearing my flesh apart. “Get off me,” my back began to burn as blood oozed out of my body. This was it—the final moment, the time needed to successfully eliminate everyone who stood in my way. It was my time of power, my…“Merida, how about the both of us have a little chat in his mind?” Alpha Hector leveraged, slamming my head further into the ground. I could feel the dark aura emanating from my body, the ashes of the warriors whose bodies have been burned, swiveling around me. “You seem much stubborn, i

CASPIAN’S POV The rustling of the leaves and the sweet smell of nature brought us nothing more than sorrow. The thought of us being unable to complete our punishment lurks all over us. “Do you really want to do this? We both know very well that this is a suicide mission. No one ever comes out of Lake Harmante alive; not even Alpha Hector has tried it,” Raider stated as we walked through the forest. He had become concerned ever since he realized what we were truly in for. “There’s no telling what’s yet to come. The animals have all fled towards that area; that means something in that area is special and might hold great power. Don’t you just want to see those two cold-blooded on the floor?” I said, fantasizing their deaths in my mind. “Do you mean Luna Elsa and her friend Damian?” he asked.“Yes, they are the ones I’m talking about. I can’t just wait to crush their bones and make them pay for everything they’ve inflicted on me.” “I don’t think that’s the right time to be talking a

CASPIAN'S POVI had given up hope. Vash was more stronger than me and I felt my soul been drawn out of my body. It would be a matter of time before he crushes me completely. I knew it! I knew I wouldn't be able to make it in one piece. Suddenly, I felt his release on me and I fell to the ground with a loud thud. "Run! Run lord Caspian!" Raider yelled out. I looked beside me and saw him swinging his sworn around, not minding where and what he was slicing through, as who he aimed for was Vash. The loud sound of metal filled my ears. 'I can still escape. I would bring the Vela Harmento to Alpha Hector as I promised,' I said within myself."You idiot. We are leaving together," I grunted and struggled to stand. Vash suddenly caught the blade and laughed out loud, "Foolish! So foolish of you weaklings to think you could defeat me!" He growled, shaking the ground we stood on.Rider hurried and stood beside me. "This Lycan would kill us. Let's make a run for it in, one, two, three, run

Elsa's POV I ran out of my room, going with Camile to see what had happened. Whatever attacked, it was pretty serious. "Luna, please calm down," I heard Dennis called out behind me. But my mind was too occupied to think straight. Everything was happening at once. I got out and noticed the guards injured. "Who did this?" I questioned with urgency in my voice. "My lady, it was Damien," Camille answered, and stood beside me. "We tried to stop him from leaving, but he got angry and fought us."I drew my brows together, not believing her story. Damien wouldn't do something like that. "Are you sure it was Damien?" I questioned, trying to know the truth even though it might hurt. She nodded and lowered her head, "Yes my lady. He was filled with rage when he walked out. I don't think he was himself."I let out a sigh of exasperation and rubbed my neck. "It can't be," I muttered, trying to calm the nervousness seeping into me. "Let's go inside, my lady, we will find out what is going on

Elsa's POV Camile fell to the ground and the world froze for a couple of seconds. Her loud cry forced me to move again. I rushed to her and knelt down, "Oh my goodness," I cried when I saw her cloth covered in her blood. The arrow had hit her shoulder. "It hurt!" She cried. "Just stay calm. I will pull it out," I told her calmly but she shook her head and looked behind me. The werewolves who came with us were hitting the flying arrows away, to stop any of us from getting hit. The flying arrows didn't end but increased instead, giving the men a hard time hitting them off. "My lady, run away. They will come for us. Just leave!" I shook my head and looked at her living room, thinking of what to do. There was no way I was going to escape and leave my friend behind to the mercy of the tyrant alpha. It's all my fault. "Run!" She urged but I didn't bulge. "Stay still, Camille. I will try to pull it out. It would hurt so much," I instructed, ignoring her request. I wasn't going to d

Damien's povI made a terrible mistake by embarking on the journey alone, but the thought of doing it for a friend, pushed me forward. Besides, it wasn't just for Melinda sake, but also for Elsa's. Even though I was mad at her for not trusting me enough, I felt angry seeing her stressed with everything going on and suddenly, Melinda's situation. I had to agree to go on the mission alone. But when I stomped out of Melinda's room, it suddenly felt as if everywhere went dark for a few minutes and the next time I opened my eyes, I had gone away from the pack house. It was so dark and I was locked up in a cage, with no where to escape to. I had no idea what had happened or if something happened within that few minutes I was locked up. I had so many questions but the mission at hand was important as Melinda had lesser days to live.I looked ahead and let out a deep sigh. The lake was still far away and I had to reach there before the solstice. I went on the journey, going deeper into t

Damien's POV Damien!" I heard a voice called out to me that sounded so much lile Elsa. I couldn't open my eyes. I laid flat on the floor, weakened and out of breath. "Damien" The person called again but the voice was distant. I heard footsteps running towards me and someone fell beside me. "Damien!" The voice called to me for the third time. This time loud and clear. It wasn't Elsa's voice but a familiar voice I recognized immediately. I forced my eyes opened a bit and saw it was Dennis kneeling beside me. Relieve seeped into me, seeing him again. He looked behind him, probably at the monster, which got me wondering what he did to him. "You will be alright. We will take you back to the pack house so you will get treated," he said to me but I quickly gripped his hand, using as much strength as I could get. "No… we… we need to… Melinda," I reminded with a stammer. He drew his brows and help me up, resting my back against the tree beside us. "Are you thinking about getting the V

Caspian's POV It's been days since I was locked up and Alpha Hector haven't made a move yet. I need to leave. Finding the ancient stone was my goal but not while I am confined in the dungeon. "Hey!" I called out to one of the guards. "Get the alpha over here. Why is he keeping me here?" I yelled out, letting my anger take control. They only stared at me but said nothing. I grunted and moved back. It was hard to escape as the guards were tripled.I heard the Luna of the crescent moon pack, Elsa, came to the pack and had escaped after been locked in. The guard new chief was been careful and tripled the guards. Elsa ruined everything. If only she didn't escape, the guards wouldn't be tripled and it would have been easier to fight off two or three guards and leave. "Damn it!" I yelled and faced them again. "I won't let this go. I will surely make you all pay for locking me up," I vowed and punched the wall. "Calm down, Caspian," Marcus said in my head. "How can I calm down? We are

Damien's POV I was devastated as well as Dennis and the rest of the Pack Members as we had our Luna slipped right under our noses in broad daylight. It's something I still feel terrible for, I am to blame for her Kidnap, I wished I had Perceived it right before it happened, we wouldn't have our asses busted up this way.How could I not have figured it out after I saw a spy saw us earlier while we were having our council meeting, it's such a shame it happened right under my nose without having the chance to protect Elsa before all this had happened. I probably wouldn't have dragged her inside to have a conversation with her, with Elsa believing I had kept a secret from her and I'm her best friend, why does she think I'm going to be hiding things from her when she knows that I love her and will do everything right to avoid not been hurt by anyone.I do not know what to think right now, it's probably going to be Hector that wants her life after we ruined his pack and got

Elsa's POV: In a second I was with Damien and the rest of the pack, If I could remember in a council meeting too and another minute I'm in the middle of nowhere tied up having zero idea of how I got there.I was crying bitterly inside of me as I wondered how the hell I got here in the first place and now I have to battle with my claustrophobia. My hands were tied with a very strong rope that have wolfsbane potion on it, and it's definitely killing me, as it draws my strength leaner every second that I breathe. My head’s spinning like some hurricane is blowing inside of it. Damien's POV I went after him but before I got out, he had gone. There was no sight of him. The secret opening led to an open field which was outside the pack. I looked around but no one was around."Damn it, I missed him," I muttered and rubbed my temple in frustration..If only I had come out faster, I would have seen where he went through and also know if he has an accomplice or not. I growled in frustration and went back in. Hy the time I got to the courtyard, they were done with the meeting and Elsa had left. "Where is the Luna?" I asked Dennis who was speaking to a member of the council. "Where did you disappear to? Your attention was needed at some point," he said, ignoring my question. I drew my brows and asked, "Why? Did something happened? Was there a different discussion?"He shook his head and faced me. "It's nothing to be worried about. The council just had a few questions because you were the one who went to rescue the Luna," he answered. "Where is she now?" I ask

Damien's POVI had no idea Elsa would find out soon enough. And just as I thought it would, it broke her down. I tried to explain but she was too hurt and angry to listen. After she left for her room, I faced Camile who bowed her, feeling bad for her. "What really happened our there?" I asked."We had no idea what was happening so when we got to the market, we saw a few people around which was unusual. We went closer to ask and this woman began to insult the luna blaming her for what happened and she called her incompetent," she explained which made me understand why Elsa reacted that way. I let out a deep breath and rubbed my neck in frustration. "Damn it," I cursed under my breath. "I need to speak to her."I made to move but Dennis held me back, "Get needs her space. You were the one who stopped Camille, remember? You can't speak to her now."I sighed in frustration and moved my hair back. She was all alone, wallowing in sorrow from what the woman said.I nodded and walked back

Elsa's POVI stood motionless, as her words got registered in my head. Camille hurried to me and stood behind me. "Let's go," she said and tried to take me out but I pulled my hand from hers and faced the old woman."What are you talking about? What is going on?" I asked and she scoffed. "You are pretending not to know. The news is all over and just have reached your ears huf you don't know what to do," she answered with irritation lacing her voice. "It's because of you Hector is trying to attach again."Camille arched her brows and faced her. "What do you mean? How dare you accuse the Luna?""Am I wrong? You should tell her the truth since you both are close," she answered and looked at me again. "Yu are not fit to be the leader.""That's enough! How dare you say such a thing like that? Have you forgotten everything the Luna has done for the growth and progress of this pack?" Camille asked, getting pissed off. "Of what use is it? Hector would attack us now and all those things wou

Elsa's POVThe day was going stressful more than I could imagine, but, a good thing happened, which was Melinda gaining her consciousness. I excused myself and went back to my room to get a special herb I had reserved. A herb that help relieve any pain, but getting back there, I heard Damien's voice but I couldn't figure out what he was saying. Knowing they were together made my heart skipped a beat. I know I shouldn't feel this way as I should be bothered about Melinda, but I couldn't help the feeling. I swallowed hard and went on to the room but almost bumped into Damien who came out at the same time. He was taken aback at first but suddenly held my hand and went to his room. At that moment, the feeling i had disappeared and was replaced with satisfaction of him being code to me. I thought about his suggestion to leave the pack for some days and go to a place where we could relax. I wanted to scream yes, as I imagined what it would be like, with just the both of us together in

Damien's povIt was a huge relieve for everyone seeing Melinda awake. She was able to defeat that man and got out. That meant, he had gone out of Caspian's body, but I had no idea if Caspian was alive. It would be a huge relieve for us if he dies. But, Melinda was acting arrogant and that got me pissed off. Everyone of us risked our lives for her, especially Elsa who went as far as going into the enemy's territory just to get the cure. Elsa was still trying her best to keep her calm while telling us she was just frightened, but she wasn't ready to calm down. Finally, she did but the doctor said she lost her voice which was sacrificed for using her dark magic. Everyone left the room, leaving me behind. It was an opportunity to ask about Marcus without anyone hearing us. I wanted to know more about him and handle him myself. I stepped closer and sat beside her. "What happened to the man you faced?" I asked, staring at her. "I am talking about Marcus. Nod your head if he died."Sh

I heard someone called me, but the voice seemed distant. "Melinda, can you hear me?" The voice called out to me again and shook me. I gasped out again and batted my lashes, getting my blurry view clear. I felt a hand in my cheek and I shivered in fright. "Melinda, wake up. We are safe now," the voice said again. I blinked and my gaze fell on Damien, who was seating beside me. Yes Damien, behind him was the Luna, Dennis was standing beside, and Camille.I remembered everything. I remembered their names and their faces. I was locked in the spiritual realm but I somehow survived. I faced the Marcus and I think I was able to use my dark magic a bit, although, the memory wasn't clear enough. Camille walked closer and helped me seat well. "Are you alright?"
