Chapter 94

The sedan glided down the winding road, Sarah's eyelids grew heavy, her head nodding forward as she succumbed to exhaustion. Nicholas glanced over, his eyes softening as he watched her sleep.

But Sarah's rest was short-lived. She jerked awake, her heart racing like a wild animal. She gasped for breath, her eyes scanning the unfamiliar surroundings.

"What's wrong?" Nicholas asked his voice low and soothing.

Sarah's gaze locked onto his, her eyes wide with unease. "I don't know," she whispered. "I just feel... something's off."

Nicholas' expression turned serious. "We're almost there," he reassured her. "Just a little farther."

But Sarah's sense of foreboding only intensified. She felt like she was being pulled towards some unknown danger, like an invisible thread was drawing her closer.
