She watched, a pang of guilt and regret shot through her heart. She knew that her father's suffering was a direct result of her own actions and her involvement with the Hill family.

Sarah's eyes welled up with tears. She turned away from the window, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for an escape from her emotions. But there was no escape, only the haunting feeling that she had brought shame and pain to her loved one.
