Moses gestured the bartender away and personally made the drink.

It had been a while since he held a cocktail shaker. Moses shook the cocktail, the sound of ice cubes rattling in the shaker.

“I heard you brought the little mute girl along to the birthday feast held by the Jackson family. What were you thinking?”

Everyone knew that Blake loathed bringing her along to social events. Even when they were on the road, he usually refused to walk with her.

Blake gave him a sidelong glance and impatiently asked, “Why are you shaking the drink with various styles? Can’t you just pour it directly?”
