27~ Cold war
It was hours later and John was handing in some reports in the CEO’s office when Chris’s mind wandered off to think about his wife, Rita.
‘What is she doing?’ He only saw her during the meeting but after that, she had been avoiding him like they were social distancing.
“That would be all Sir,” John said and turned to leave when Chris stopped him.
“Wait…. Tell Rita to type the minutes for today’s meeting and submit them to me,” Chris instructed as he perused through the files John had just handed in.
“Uh.. Yes sir,” John replied hesitantly. He was not blind, he could see the tension between the couple. It was so strong that he felt like he was suffocating in the middle of the two who had a lovers' quarrel and couldn’t sort out their issues.
Reluctantly, John entered the assistant’s office and relayed the message.
