"Ma'am Cosette? Wake up, Ma'am."

I woke with a start at the sound of Alice's voice and the light tapping on my shoulder. Blinking to clear my blurry vision, I rubbed my eyes. When my sight adjusted, I saw my secretary, Alice, standing in front of me, seemingly waiting for me to wake up.
