LOGINKaylee pov
She takes a step back with me when we hear him walking closer to the door. She slowly starts to walk with me further down the hallway. My adrenaline pumps around in my body, and it makes my legs move. I feel weak, but I manage to move them when we hear him stop by the door. "What are you doing?" I hear him boom out to her, and Liana pulls me slowly with her. "On my way to see a patient, it's urgent, so if you excuse me," she says when I hear him mumble something before his footsteps walk away from the door. The door is slowly opened when she comes walking through it and heads right over to where we are. She grabs my other arm when they start to walk fast with me down the hallway and towards a back door. "We don't have much time," the woman says when we reach the door, and she opens it with a card before looking outside. I see her sniffing in the air for a moment before she pulls me out with her. "I have placed a bag behind the shed, already planned the way for us to take," Liana says when we walk around the building and head for what looks like a small shed. I don't understand what Liana means, and I try to remember what happened. "Here, I take the bag for now, we need to head for the borders. The guards will shift right now and head for the other end, this way of the borders will be free for a short time and that's our best chance to get you out of here," Liana says, dropping my arm before I see her pick up a bag from the ground. She puts it on and walks back to where we are. "I don't understand this," I say in a low voice when my head starts to hurt and I place my hand on my forehead. "It's common to feel disoriented and get a headache, I'm sure your memory of what happened will come back eventually. Don't force it." The woman says when they both start to walk fast with me into the forest behind the shed. "We have to go faster, can you run?" Liana asks me when they both start to pull me faster with them. I have a hard time coping with their pace and have to focus on just my breathing and getting my legs to follow their way. "I'm surprised she can keep up, it shouldn't be possible. I bet your father was someone else than a low ranked omega, with the strength you are showing without your wolf, I would guess he is of a higher rank," the woman says but I can't focus on that either. My head hurts worse when I try to put all the pieces together. "You think he was?" I hear Liana say to her in shock when they both suddenly stop in their tracks and start to listen closely. I don't hear anything. "They are coming! You have to run while I try to keep them occupied," the woman says before she lets go of my arm. "Run, and I hope you get away," she says when I see her shred her clothes when she shifts and starts to run in one direction. "Come, we have to hurry," Liana says, now even I hear some running. She pulls on my arm when I get my legs to move at her speed, and before I know it we have started to run. It doesn't take too long until she holds my arm and stops me. Turning towards her, I wonder why we have stopped when she takes off her bag and hands it to me. "I placed some clothes in the bag and all the money I have saved. Take it and start over somewhere else," she says, handing me the bag. I don't know why it never crossed my mind that she would be leaving me. She holds the bag to me when I just look at her. "I can't come with you, I wish I could, but my place is here," she says, placing the bag on my back when she walks around and stops in front of me. She takes my hands in hers and looks at me with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry for what they did to you, wish it never happened. I hope it's enough money if you want to get rid of it," she says when I see tears well over and run down her cheeks. I have nothing to say at the moment, I feel numb. "You know I see you as my sister, and if you come to a place where you are safe, try to contact me, and maybe I can come to meet you," she says, wrapping her arms around me. She holds a hard grip around me when I hug her back. "You are my sister," I say to her ear when she sobs on my shoulder. "You have to run and get away from here, don't let anyone capture you, and hide in a human town. Don't forget to leave the pack when you step over the borders. It's enough if you say your first name and that you are an omega, it will release you from this pack but once the words are out you are rogue and have to run," she says, and it just dawns on me that I will be rogue, and I can't go near any pack grounds out there. "They are on their way, you can't stay here any longer," she says, breaking the hug before she takes a step back. Tears are running down her cheeks when she looks over her shoulder before turning her head back, and I hear some barking a bit behind. I know it's now or never. Turning around, I step over the mark that I know shows where this pack grounds stop and turn to look at her. She holds my gaze when I say the words that release me from this pack, I feel the connection to this pack break. Even without me having a wolf, I feel the emptiness in my soul. I'm officially rogue. "Go! And whatever you do, stay as far away from the father of the child as possible; he is dangerous, and no one can save you from him if he catches you!" she says to me when she turns around and sheds her clothes, shifting before she starts to run back, just leaving me with those words. I have a hard time processing this when I hear a roar and it has my legs moving forward fast. I'm too late to stop when I reach a wide river and fall right in the water and end up under the surface by the strong river. Coming up to the surface again, I spit out some water when I feel my body getting caught by the river and pulling me with it. I have to fight to keep my head over the water when I come closer to a small waterfall, and it doesn't matter if I try to swim the other way, the river is too strong, dragging me with it. I don't know for how long I have been inside the water fighting for my life, but I'm exhausted to the point where I'm ready to give up. It takes all the strength I've got left when the river gets calmer to swim over to the shore, I manage to grab hold of a rock and pull myself out of the water. Crawling up I fall to the ground defeated with exhaustion. I have no strength to move a muscle and have to give in when I fall asleep where I lie in my wet clothes. "What do we have here?" I suddenly hear a man's voice from a distance when I feel someone kick me in the side. Grunting, I try to move but my whole body is cold and it hurts everywhere. "Well, the rogue is still alive. I thought she was dead there for a moment." I hear another man say, but I still can't move. "You know the orders, let's get her to him," I hear a man say before someone grabs my body and lifts me from the ground. "She is lighter than a feather, could break her in half with just my hand," I hear the man that's carrying me say. I have no idea who they are, but I know they aren't from my old pack at least and I have no energy left to move. I have no idea how long I have been out when I hear a voice boom out that has me jolting awake from my sleep. His voice vibrates through my body and I don't know what it is that feels familiar, I'm sure I have heard the voice before. "What is it?" He booms out when I open my eyes and see I'm still in the arms of a tall and muscular man. Turning my head slightly to see the source of the voice, my head starts to spin when my eyes land on the black haired man I feel like I have seen before. Suddenly everything comes crashing down on me at once, and I remember everything that happened. Where I know him from before, and this is the last place I should be at. He turns his head and when our eyes meet a gasp leaves my lips when I realize the truth, he's the Alpha and the man who got me pregnant.Alora pov Nothing can change the fact that Kaylee is in danger from everyone. If they find out who she is, all packs and old families will come for her and especially Mark. It's well known he wants to stay at the council for as long as he can, but with Kaylee turned eighteen she is able to take his place whenever she wants. It's one of the laws at the council once they have a new heir turning eighteen they are allowed to take the place, and that's why many council members wait until they are in their late thirties to start their family. By doing so they can stay longer as a council member, and it's been going on this way for ages. Mark has to be almost fifty by now, and he can stay for about ten more years then he is considered too old and needs to hand his place over to someone else. I know everyone is waiting for this and hoping to be able to join the Council. "These weren't the news I've hoped for," I honestly say when Dane places his hand over mine in my lap. "I know, but
Alora pov Walking back through the entrance doors, I quickly make it up to the room where Levin and my mate are waiting. I find them still in the room talking about the council when I come walking inside. "Everything alright?" Levin asks me when I take a seat in the chair, looking at him and his folder. "Yes, but we need to make this quick," I say when he leans forward. "Alright, let's get into this." He starts to say and opens his folder while Dane places his arm around my shoulders. "I looked into her and found something, this is way too serious to have a conversation on the phone," he continues and places a paper from his folder in front of me on the table. Leaning forward, I start to go over it. Some of the information I already know from what I've found out, but I didn't have access to the right information and couldn't look into it further. "This information you already guessed, but she is from the bloodline of one of the Council families," he says when I look fur
Heidi pov Liz parks the car beside the road just a small bit outside of Aron's pack grounds. Looking at the woods ahead of us, I turn and see Liz starting to undress beside me. "What are you doing?" I ask her while looking at her with a raised eyebrow. She stops with her hands at her pants looking dead in my eye. "I'm getting ready to whoop some asses, I might pull their balls as well if I get the opportunity. Always love the sound they make when I do it," she says and laughs while I shake my head at her. It's always the same when it comes to her, a more unserious fighter is hard to find. During all these years I have taught her to fight she has tried to sneak away or other times she does whatever she wants. She is a good fighter, no questions about it. But the way she comes up with different ways to make the opponent that often is a male to suffer weird shit instead of seriously fighting to kill or knock out is uncountable. If she had used all the time to instead focus on the
Heidi pov Looking out the window when Carl parks the car behind work, I wait for him to turn off the engine before I open the door and get out. He gets out as well and walks over to stand beside me by the car. "You're about to do something stupid, aren't you?" He asks me and I'm not surprised he figured it out since I was silent the whole way over here. I'm not a person to talk very much but I'm not completely silent. "I have to," I say and turn to look at the door when a customer walks out, and by the look of it she just got her hair done by Frederic. "Wherever you're going I'm coming with you," he says, and I feel all warm inside from his words. I know he is one I always can count on, but this is not his fight, and I need him to stay here and guard all the girls. Not once has he ever failed me, and if there is one I can trust then it's him. "You can't, I need you here," I say when the door is opened again and Frederic is popping his head out, waving happily at us and Carl l
Alora pov The drive over to the address Levin gave me took about one hour, and it's located a bit outside of the city where the Council is. None of us have been here, and the little inn took some time to find. "What are we going to do?" I ask Dane while we make our way over to the address I got. Both of us have tried to call Darian and Aliza again, but there is still no answer. "We can just hope Bryan manages to get ahold of any one of them while we quicken this meeting," he says, turning on the road, and we have arrived at the address. Once Dane parks the car in front of the building, we both head out quickly. We arrived just a small moment after Levin and he has already taken his place inside a meeting room he booked. He knows the owners and I guess, has used this meeting place before. "Glad you could come this fast," he says when he meets us in the lobby. "Yes, let's get this done quickly, we have to get back as soon as possible," I say when he shows us into the meeting ro
Kaylee pov I'm staring at the closed door, debating with myself if I should do this. I've been locked inside this room for the whole day, and I'm going crazy if I have to stay in here another second. Her words have been playing inside my head this whole day. I don't understand what she means that I'm stronger than I think and who is my father? Alora told me to be careful and she can't talk about what has happened with Aron, but if I want to talk to him it's easier to do it at night. Well, it isn't night yet, it's evening, and I can't stay in here any longer. I need some answers, and I will try to get them. Pushing the handle down, I open the door and listen for his fotsteeps, but I don't hear a single sound when I walk out into the hallway. Leaving the door a bit open when I take a few steps away from the door... My heart is beating harder in my chest, I don't know how angry he will be once he finds me walking around in his pack house. One thing is sure, he will be angry once
