Kaylee pov

She takes a step back with me when we hear him walking closer to the door. She slowly starts to walk with me further down the hallway. My adrenaline pumps around in my body, and it makes my legs move. I feel weak, but I manage to move them when we hear him stop by the door.

"What are you doing?" I hear him boom out to her, and Liana pulls me slowly with her.

"On my way to see a patient, it's urgent, so if you excuse me," she says when I hear him mumble something before his footsteps walk away from the door.

The door is slowly opened when she comes walking through it and heads right over to where we are. She grabs my other arm when they start to walk fast with me down the hallway and towards a back door.

"We don't have much time," the woman says when we reach the door, and she opens it with a card before looking outside. I see her sniffing in the air for a moment before she pulls me out with her.

"I have placed a bag behind the shed, already planned the way for us to take," Liana says when we walk around the building and head for what looks like a small shed. I don't understand what Liana means, and I try to remember what happened.

"Here, I take the bag for now, we need to head for the borders. The guards will shift right now and head for the other end, this way of the borders will be free for a short time and that's our best chance to get you out of here," Liana says, dropping my arm before I see her pick up a bag from the ground. She puts it on and walks back to where we are.

"I don't understand this," I say in a low voice when my head starts to hurt and I place my hand on my forehead.

"It's common to feel disoriented and get a headache, I'm sure your memory of what happened will come back eventually. Don't force it." The woman says when they both start to walk fast with me into the forest behind the shed.

"We have to go faster, can you run?" Liana asks me when they both start to pull me faster with them. I have a hard time coping with their pace and have to focus on just my breathing and getting my legs to follow their way.

"I'm surprised she can keep up, it shouldn't be possible. I bet your father was someone else than a low ranked omega, with the strength you are showing without your wolf, I would guess he is of a higher rank," the woman says but I can't focus on that either. My head hurts worse when I try to put all the pieces together.

"You think he was?" I hear Liana say to her in shock when they both suddenly stop in their tracks and start to listen closely. I don't hear anything.

"They are coming! You have to run while I try to keep them occupied," the woman says before she lets go of my arm.

"Run, and I hope you get away," she says when I see her shred her clothes when she shifts and starts to run in one direction.

"Come, we have to hurry," Liana says, now even I hear some running. She pulls on my arm when I get my legs to move at her speed, and before I know it we have started to run.

It doesn't take too long until she holds my arm and stops me. Turning towards her, I wonder why we have stopped when she takes off her bag and hands it to me.

"I placed some clothes in the bag and all the money I have saved. Take it and start over somewhere else," she says, handing me the bag. I don't know why it never crossed my mind that she would be leaving me. She holds the bag to me when I just look at her.

"I can't come with you, I wish I could, but my place is here," she says, placing the bag on my back when she walks around and stops in front of me.

She takes my hands in hers and looks at me with tears in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry for what they did to you, wish it never happened. I hope it's enough money if you want to get rid of it," she says when I see tears well over and run down her cheeks.

I have nothing to say at the moment, I feel numb.

"You know I see you as my sister, and if you come to a place where you are safe, try to contact me, and maybe I can come to meet you," she says, wrapping her arms around me. She holds a hard grip around me when I hug her back.

"You are my sister," I say to her ear when she sobs on my shoulder.

"You have to run and get away from here, don't let anyone capture you, and hide in a human town. Don't forget to leave the pack when you step over the borders. It's enough if you say your first name and that you are an omega, it will release you from this pack but once the words are out you are rogue and have to run," she says, and it just dawns on me that I will be rogue, and I can't go near any pack grounds out there.

"They are on their way, you can't stay here any longer," she says, breaking the hug before she takes a step back. Tears are running down her cheeks when she looks over her shoulder before turning her head back, and I hear some barking a bit behind. I know it's now or never.

Turning around, I step over the mark that I know shows where this pack grounds stop and turn to look at her. She holds my gaze when I say the words that release me from this pack, I feel the connection to this pack break. Even without me having a wolf, I feel the emptiness in my soul. I'm officially rogue.

"Go! And whatever you do, stay as far away from the father of the child as possible; he is dangerous, and no one can save you from him if he catches you!" she says to me when she turns around and sheds her clothes, shifting before she starts to run back, just leaving me with those words.

I have a hard time processing this when I hear a roar and it has my legs moving forward fast. I'm too late to stop when I reach a wide river and fall right in the water and end up under the surface by the strong river.

Coming up to the surface again, I spit out some water when I feel my body getting caught by the river and pulling me with it. I have to fight to keep my head over the water when I come closer to a small waterfall, and it doesn't matter if I try to swim the other way, the river is too strong, dragging me with it.

I don't know for how long I have been inside the water fighting for my life, but I'm exhausted to the point where I'm ready to give up. It takes all the strength I've got left when the river gets calmer to swim over to the shore, I manage to grab hold of a rock and pull myself out of the water.

Crawling up I fall to the ground defeated with exhaustion. I have no strength to move a muscle and have to give in when I fall asleep where I lie in my wet clothes.

"What do we have here?" I suddenly hear a man's voice from a distance when I feel someone kick me in the side. Grunting, I try to move but my whole body is cold and it hurts everywhere.

"Well, the rogue is still alive. I thought she was dead there for a moment." I hear another man say, but I still can't move.

"You know the orders, let's get her to him," I hear a man say before someone grabs my body and lifts me from the ground.

"She is lighter than a feather, could break her in half with just my hand," I hear the man that's carrying me say. I have no idea who they are, but I know they aren't from my old pack at least and I have no energy left to move.

I have no idea how long I have been out when I hear a voice boom out that has me jolting awake from my sleep. His voice vibrates through my body and I don't know what it is that feels familiar, I'm sure I have heard the voice before.

"What is it?" He booms out when I open my eyes and see I'm still in the arms of a tall and muscular man.

Turning my head slightly to see the source of the voice, my head starts to spin when my eyes land on the black haired man I feel like I have seen before.

Suddenly everything comes crashing down on me at once, and I remember everything that happened. Where I know him from before, and this is the last place I should be at.

He turns his head and when our eyes meet a gasp leaves my lips when I realize the truth, he's the Alpha and the man who got me pregnant.

Kaylee pov My body is hot, and it aches in places I didn't think it was possible to ache. It's all too hot under my blanket when I toss it off me before placing my feet on the cold floor. It's still dark outside, and I don't think I've slept much since the last time I was up and thought I saw him standing outside the window on the other side in the dark alley. I had to stay there for a long time, waiting for him to walk out of his hiding, but he didn't, and at one point I had to give up and go to bed. I probably imagined I saw him, that's the only logical reason. Heading over to the bathroom, I do my business and wash up. Looking into the mirror, I see droplets of sweat on my forehead. Washing my face with some water, I try to remember if I had a nightmare, but I can't recall if I did. It would explain why I was this hot, but there are a lot of strange things going on lately. My body aches, and I've got some swelling around my ankles. Looking at my stomach, it looks even bigger

  • Forced To Carry The Alpha's Child   chapter 145

Liz pov Looking around us, I try to trace the scent, but I can't find it again. I turn my head to look at my mate where he stands. "I have to try and find the scent, I need to see who it belongs to," my mate mind links me while I look around us. Try to find the smallest trace but there isn't anything. "I can't sense anything," I mind link him back while taking a soundless step to the side. "I'm afraid I recognized it from somewhere, and if I'm right, then it's nothing good. Head back and make sure everyone is safe," he mind links me. I see him being ready to shift. I'm not going to let him search by himself, I'm going with him. "No, Heidi will handle it. I'm coming with you." I mind link and shift, sniffing in the air. "They had to leave for a bit, both of them," he mind links when I halt in my step. "Leave?? Where? When?" I mind link him while my wolf turns to look at him. This is all new to me, and they left without telling me? "Yes, they needed to meet up with a person

  • Forced To Carry The Alpha's Child   chapter 144

Liz pov Walking out of the building, I'm pissed, or to be fair, I'm beyond pissed. How could she keep this as a secret from me during all years? Doesn't our friendship mean anything to her? I let my wolf take over, she's as furious as I am with the fact Heidi has been hiding this from us for all these years and I know before my wolf even starts to run where she's going. There is only one place that we can release some anger and make it feel a little bit better. Shredding the clothes, I let my wolf shift when she takes off to the shortest way into the woods, just behind the large fabric at the outskirts of the city. Reaching the treeline quickly, I let my wolf run freely and the run doesn't take long. Stopping by the bushes to listen if anyone is near by before walking through them. This dark and hidden spot is the best place Heidi ever could have chosen, but I don't think if she knew I had found this place and what I'm doing here, it would be a positive thing for me. She wou

Heidi povI wish I could tell him, but not today. "I can't reveal it yet, I promise you will know before I'm checking out. Should there be any problem, you can contact that person I gave you the number to. You will have all the information you need." I tell him, and he gives me a nod."I'm honored for you trusting in me, I will do whatever it takes to keep her safe," he says, and I give him a smile. I know he will, there is no doubt. "I have to go for a bit, you need to handle everything tonight." I tell him while he looks intensely at me. "What information is it that you need?" He asks, and I'm surprised he has figured out that's why I have to leave. "I know there is a story behind what has happened to Aron, and I need to find some answers. Both for Kaylee's sake and everyone around her," I explain while he sits calmly in his seat. "I've already taken care of that," he says, and I'm surprised while he simply flashes me a smile. "I knew there was more to his story back there, he

  • Forced To Carry The Alpha's Child   chapter 142

Heidi pov I knew this was going to happen. I have known Liz for so long I knew she was going to react this way. I can understand her, but it's another reason why I haven't told her about it before. I knew none of them were going to see it from my point of view if I didn't tell them the whole truth, and that's something I have to take with me into the grave. I have to keep my daughter safe after I'm gone as well, and her life depends on me hiding the truth from everyone. "This has nothing to do with you, Liz. I trust you with my life and my daughter's. But for everyone's sake I'm forced to keep this to myself. I just want to know you will be there for Kaylee and my daughter once I'm gone?" I tell her, knowing she will have to take her time and calm down before I'm able to speak to her again about this. "If you truly knew me, you would never have to ask me that! I have done nothing to make you feel like you can't trust me," she snaps while I see her arms get coated in fur. I know h

  • Forced To Carry The Alpha's Child   chapter 141

Liz pov Looking at Heidi like she has grown two heads all of a sudden, I don't know where to even start with all the thoughts and emotions I have with this new knowledge. I have known her for years, and not once has she even mentioned a man, let alone a mate on top of it. I can't sort my thoughts, and everything wants to come out at once when I feel my mate trying to contact me through mind link. "Not now, I'm fine." I open the link, telling him it quickly, and shut the link before he even gets a chance to speak. Holding my walls tighter around me, I can't let them fall, or he will feel my emotions, and then he won't give up until he gets the information out of me, and right now I can't let him know. "You have to explain, I don't get it. I've known you for years Heidi and not once have you mentioned a single thing about a mate. " I say, looking at her where she stands by the window. Her posture is cut off, but I see small changes in her face, and I know she is sad about it. Who
