Aaron reached out and gently took Marie's hand. She felt a warmth spread through her at the easy touch. She smiled up at him, feeling her heart flutter only a little.

They strolled down the park path, their footsteps light on the gentle grass. Aaron's hand felt robust in hers, and as they walked, she couldn't help but glance at him sometimes.

He came on foot beside her, his gaze ahead but comfy. For once, he didn't seem like he had the burden of the whole world on his shoulders.

"I'm just satisfied," she said softly, smiling back at him. "It's exceptional to just be right here with you.” No rush, no pressure, just taking walks."
